I had read a story about Two Mexican American Graduates of Texas A and M who were in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. It was in Time Life Books Vietnam Series . One Flew Fighters snd the other C-130’s . A barracks at the School is named in honor of the one Who was killed in action during a supply run flying a C-130.
Very impressive. Just a suggestion though: If the Corp of Cadets are going to have an old style cavalry unit, they might dust off those old cavalry manuals. The cavalry salute was completely different. It was a high raised hand instead of finger tips to the brim salute.
Yes, they march as crisp as any US Army regiment that I have ever seen. It takes lots of work to get to this level. I have often wondered why some are wearing riding boots ?
Damn...young adults headed down a respectful path and people actually wanna rag on them....wow...be careful not to get too far up on that throne as the fall becomes greater come your day to be judged....
Impressive marching. Very crisp, very well disciplined and very well executed. They march far better than any US Army active duty unit I've seen personally, or on RUclips, lately. There is no excuse for some of them being overweight though. Overall, they're a very sharp looking bunch. What's the unit at 06:42 with the shoulder cords? Pershing Rifles?
Does A&M have an exchange program with militayr academies of other countries because I saw two cadets with foreign uniforms. The U.S. military academies have what's called a "prisoner eschange" among the schools.
They’re actually more significant than that. “Senior Boots” are hand crafted and custom made for each individual cadet. They are made by Holick’s, a local company that was founded by the first Aggie bandmaster Joseph Holick in 1891. Depending on the materials used, each pair can cost around $1000 and up. Most cadets place their order as freshmen to have them ready for their senior year. It’s a century old tradition.
Looks like a brigade or two. Instead of wheelbarrows and shovels, a street sweeper is easier. If they are an US Cavalry troop re-enactors, several have ranks that did not exist back then.
Oh yea definitely over 2 brigades and abit more there because I kind of rewatched it quite a few times roughly counting the numbers which would absolutely be more than the entire New Zealand Army troop numbers combined easily
The Mexican cross the boarder with a couple duffel bags to the cripts and take a bus ride to Grand Central station cross the street and there's a bunch of smoke shops
They do not need fancy uniforms to look as sharp as Razors. To be honest, i am a bit divided about this. I know these are just college kids with no proper training. Some does it really well, and i like the way they sabers hold the scabbard. But to me fisted marching is always a big No No.
Daniel Griffith Neither is Police but they still have to go by Army standards for honor guard, the Texas Corps Of Cadets generally is associated with the army so they need to abide by Army honor guard standards.
Jacob Merkle : Howdy! There are six senior military schools in the USA. Norwich University, Texas A&M, The Citadel, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Tech and University of North Georgia.
@@hikerhobby1204 You are correct in that but A&M and VA Tech are full time Corps within civilian universities unlike the others you mentioned that are strictly Corps.
@@everettmiller2457 Thank you! I did not know that. My son graduated from The Corps of Cadets, Texas A&M. He’s now one of our Air Force aviators. Have a great weekend!
No they don’t. The Corps is completely voluntary. Students join the Corps to learn leadership skills. The majority go on to work in the civilian world. They do not have a military obligation since most of them pay for their own education. Very few have ROTC scholarships. 2019 graduation class only commissioned 206 cadets to the military.

The band alone is larger than many college ROTC programs. Gig 'em!
To be fair, almost all major college marching bands are larger than most ROTC detachments.
And a lot of tubas. Cool band. I also saw the video when the band marched at Disneyland in 2017.
I'm sorry that my Mom could not have seen the Aggie Marching Band before she died. This would have been her last one!
Keep up the spirit!
My God this ROTC Aggie Army is huge...but love it...

I thought the same thing about the cadets that appear obese. But then I thought they must be linemen on the football team.
¿Por qué algunos llevan botas y pantalones de caballería, siendo pelotones de infantería?
Los mayores se ganan el derecho a calzar las botas altas es un honor
