11 years dealing with herpes simplex 2 and recently dumped by the guy that gave it to me. I'm emotionally drained and embarrassed being alone with this.. we all are praying for a cure as fast as you guys can You'd all save so many lives. Be heros. Im praying everyday
They are DNA viruses and end up in the nervous system so to actually remove it completely don't you either have to locate and cut it away (safely ...) from DNA in the cells or kill the cells but in this case that would be killing nervous system cells?

As far as I’m concerned, yeah a cure would be nice but I don’t feel like that’s something that is so prevalent. I think the issue is the prospect of transmitting to an uninfected person. I wish there was a way to make it essentially undetectable similar to the hiv virus. It really isn’t deteriorating for a positive person. But the mental strain of passing infection is the worse part.

Dealing with HSV-1 since the mid eighties (i am from '77). Every x weeks another breakout as "stressy/nervous" kid by hearth. School tests, exams, social gatherings, and the cold sores were there...again. Wanted to hide in a cave every time the virus emerged. Remember being studied by groups of doctors/trainees. No cure boy, deal with it. I started to write down the symptoms i experienced. Swolen submandibular glands on the side of the face were the sore rose, the most well known. But there was more: greasy, oily facial skin prior and during the outbreak. Last but not least: i noticed well before an outbreak i started to experience somekind of amnesia. Common, every day, vocabulary was out of my system. By then i was 16, and presented my own research to my local doctor. My findings were ofcourse laughed away. A good 30 years later the first studies rose claiming HSV may be linked with Alzheimer or amnesia.... Well in my fourties now, a stable-steady lifestyle helps controlling the virus but if human trials start in Europe, count me in please.

My parents gave me oral hsv1 when I was 5 or younger. Before college, I only remember getting a handful of outbreaks total. In fact, I didn’t get a single one in high school. During college and early working years, I would probably get 3 outbreaks annually. Around the age of 30, the virus started acting differently. Doctors are willfully ignorant about this virus, and they refuse to look into why I breakout constantly or why it’s spreading so easily. This virus has completely ruined my life. I can’t perform daily activities, I can’t play with young family members, can’t have friends. I’m 41 years old, no woman has ever wanted me, and now I can’t ever expect one to. If a cure doesn’t happened within 5 years, my life will essentially be over, if it isn’t before that. I have little faith we’ll actually get one, but if we do, it will be a dangerous and useless em.ar.en.aye “cure,” which I won’t trust, and won’t get. I’m also worried about losing my vision from ocular outbreaks and developing a neurodegenerative disease like Alzheimer’s, MS, Or ALS because of this virus.

I want the vaccine and support this cause. There are many like me that have herpes simplex type 1 in your eye called keratitis dendratic eye. And it's the numer 1 cause of blindness in America and other countries. It's painful; It's devastating. I got this working with kids at a preschool. There are kids with HSV-1 and children cross contaminate. So, it is a health hazard for safety and other children. I feel the government needs to make this a priority. I get break outs all the time and it has damaged my cornea. We need more support and awarness. This is highly contagious, even if you are asyntomatic.

It settles down after a while into a minor skin ulcer. Don't worry. Take l lysine when you feel it starting up. That is cheap and will often stop an outbreak before it starts. No biggie once your body gets used to living with it.
How they can have it ready for hsv 1 but not 2 is weird for me why not bring it for the people that have hsv 1 rather than making us wait another 10 years feels like my suffering is going to last a life time 😩

Se tudo ocorrer bem acredito que nesse tempo esteja disponível nos EUA, até chegar no Brasil irá demorar mais, mas se vc tiver condição pode comprar sua passagem e ir se vacinar lá.

Most people would be happy just to be able to stop the transmission so they can find love. Being alone and scared to be transparent with someone you care for hurts the heart more than the itch hurts your face/genitals. The physical pain leaves. The emotional distress is constant.
