At one point the words "Jesus is God" is woven into this amazing song. Yet while on this Earth Jesus denied he was God (Luke 18:19) and he said he was going to "your father and my father, to your God and my God", John 20:17. Then the apostle John recorded Jesus saying four times to the church at Philadelphia "...my God". Four times. (Revelation 3:12)
I grew up believing in Trinity but after seeing verses like those above I studied and dug deep, and found that trinity was created by men in the 3rd century AD. No one encouraged me to believe this way except God.
He sent His son. On the cross Jesus called out ,"My God! My God!..." In 2nd Timothy 1:5 Paul writes, There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus."
It's all throughout the New Testament. I've found over 100 verses separating God from Jesus as two completely different individuals.
If Jesus worships God, says he isn't God, and says he's going to his God, shouldn't we believe the words of Jesus rather than the words of man's theology?
When I saw Christ wasn't God it made so much more sense than trinity, which is confusing. And God isn't "the author of confusion". It's been in front of our eyes for hundreds of years but we were blinded by false teachings mainly from well-intentioned people. Because they too were taught corrupted theology as well.
If Jesus says he isn't God, I'm going to believe him.
May the spirit of truth open your eyes ".. to the one true God."
1 Corinthians 8:6 ...but to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
May your path to truth be well lit by asking our Father to light the way.
