Just a quick correction: Jens Sembner was part of the "Dresdner Kreuzchor," which is as well-known as the Thomanerchor (actually, it's more internationally renowned during times of GRD). Both boys' choirs have a tradition of over 800 years, making them two of the oldest choirs in the world. However, there's no real competition between them. Every year, the choirs play a traditional soccer game against each other and celebrate together afterwards.
If you are interested in "weird" German music culture: Neue Deutsche Welle (New German Wave) or short: NDW. It was really a new wave that rolled over Germany. DAF, Trio, Nena, Extrabreit, Spider Murphy Gang, Hubert Kah, Fräulein Menke, Peter Schilling, Fehlfarben, Joachim Witt, Geier Sturzflug, UKW,… the list goes on. The origins lie in British punk / new wave music, but a very unique style quickly developed. What was particularly interesting was that the songs were sung in German. At that time there were only German hits for the older generation, and young people only listened to English-language music. The New German Wave discovered the German language for itself and actually revolutionized the German music world. It was a very, very creative, crazy, fun and freeing time. Some songs also became very popular in the English-speaking world and you probably know them too: Nena's "99 Luftballons" ("99 Red Balloons"), for example. Falco ("Amadeus") can also be counted among them, even though he was Austrian. Peter Schilling's "Major Tom" was also internationally known, as was Trio's "Da Da Da".

I think the entire concept and song went somehow by you Dwayne. The Song is called Everything is stolen and therefore Die Prinzen copied famous videos for their video to stress on the song title.
Hey, Dwayne, really good reaction! I'm loving your positivity and cheerfulness which is really nice and soothing in the raging chaos that is the internet😂 I believe, in your last Peter Fox reaction, you were asking about rappers that are on-par with him. There is one that I would say matches his profoundness, creativity and style: Alligatoah. Really worth checking him out! In contrast to Peter Fox, his focus is social criticism rather than more personal topics. But his lyrics really are genious. I fear, some might even get lost in translation for you but I think you should try it😊 Two of his best and most popular songs are (imo): 1. Willst du 2. Nachbeben I think you'd love them too😊
Die Prinzen used to be singer in a childrens choir and from there they started out as an acapella band. They have some serious skills there. This is one of their later works, where they are drifting more towards mainstream pop music. Songs like "Gabi and Klaus" or "Fahrrad" show their true potential a lot more. So you might want to look at that as well ;) German music videos tend either to be plain boring or get down some very creative and witty visual works ... either of art or hillarious absurdity (maybe to prove germans have humor after all ;)). Some that fit into that category are: Die Ärzte - "Männer sind Schweine", "Manchmal haben Frauen" or "Yoko Ono" Knorkator - "Buchstabe", "tut uns leid" or "Weg nach unten" Rammstein - "Deutschland", "Keine Lust" or "Amerika" Deichkind - "Keine Party", "Immer gerade aus" or "wer sagt denn das?" Hi, Dwayne! Of course Queen "I want to break free" came first. The bearded guys are supposed to represent the rock band ZZ-Top. (It`s even "all just stolen")! ....
I think I posted it under another of your videos, but here it is again: "ie" in German is just a long English "e" sound "ei" in German is just a long English "i" sound so basically if you see "i" and "e" together, look at the SECOND letter, NOT the first.
Can you please react to “Unter den Wolken” by Die Toten Hosen ? Also more from the time of ‘Alles nur geklaut’ I recommend you to listen to “Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann” by Nena

Na über knutschen im Fahrstuhl. Das man das da in Ruhe machen kann 😂
I love how he thinks that's the early 80s when that song is from the early 90s iirc. Like, Freddie Mercury was already 6 ft under when that song was written
This one was produced by Anette Humpe, who actually has been successful in the 80ies already (Ideal, Humpe & Humpe) and who later went on to form Ich + Ich together with Adel Tavil. You reacted to them earlier.
I have another suggestion for your musiclist. They called "Käptn Peng" and a good song you'll like is "Sie mögen sich" its good german "Sprechkunstgesang" 😅
Mate, seriously!? You react to music but don't recognise some of the most famous music videos stolen/copied in this video???? Also "Die Prinzen" aren't early 80ies ... they are early 90ies. They are from East Germany and became very popular after the reunification ...
Try looking up the history of the art movement "dada" in the period between the two World Wars. Germany has a long tradition of weird stuff in the arts.
There are not that many crazy German songs, but I really enjoy them. If you want some recommendations: Großstadtgeflüster - Feierabend Dicht und Ergreifend - Wandadoog 257er - Holz Die Orsons - Ventilator
If you are into contemporary german hip-hop, you should check out "Die P" (translates to "The P") and her track "Ba Da bang". Amazing German boom bap, best German MC right now.
If you're looking for some more great German Musicians: I recommend Alligatoah, Cro, Unheilig, Jennifer Rostock, Michael Schulte (he's basically Germany's Ed Sheeran), Fewjar, Make a Move and last but not least 257er.

Hi, Dwayne! Of course Queen "I want to break free" came first. The bearded guys are supposed to represent the rock band ZZ-Top. (It`s even "all just stolen")! ....
Die is actually DEE - well done 🙂 Your pronunciation is really getting better! Alles nur geklaut (uh-less noor gay-cloud) was almost perfect.
I think I posted it under another of your videos, but here it is again:
"ie" in German is just a long English "e" sound
"ei" in German is just a long English "i" sound
so basically if you see "i" and "e" together, look at the SECOND letter, NOT the first.
❤️
This video is from the earliy nineties, not from the eighties 🕺🏼
Die Prinzen had hit after hit.
Can you please react to “Unter den Wolken” by Die Toten Hosen ?
Also more from the time of ‘Alles nur geklaut’ I recommend you to listen to “Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann” by Nena
How often do you want to restart or pause the video?
He: Yo
if you want to hear more singing from the redhead, he's the main singer in their song "küssen verboten"
Not my Musik, but that Song is full of truth! 🦇Goth rules🦇 Many greets from Germany 😊
Boah, ist das Lied alt und boah, bin ich alt 😢
Die Prinzen machen immer noch sehr ehrliche Musik!
Sie machen Geile Musik, freu mich schon auf das nächste Konzert
Yes the MVs Ideas are stolen thats because the Song theme is that he stole everything. There is also a longer Version of this Song
Robert Palmer and the four Woman!
3 years ago, Die Prinzen re-recorded the song together with band "Deine Freunde" in a slightly modernized version.
It's "Alles nur geklaut 2021" if you want to check it out.
They even made a remake of the Song a few years ago
I love how he thinks that's the early 80s when that song is from the early 90s iirc. Like, Freddie Mercury was already 6 ft under when that song was written
This one was produced by Anette Humpe, who actually has been successful in the 80ies already (Ideal, Humpe & Humpe) and who later went on to form Ich + Ich together with Adel Tavil. You reacted to them earlier.
If you read behind the lines it is actually a critique about "treuhand" after the german unification and capitalism in general.
I have another suggestion for your musiclist. They called "Käptn Peng" and a good song you'll like is "Sie mögen sich" its good german "Sprechkunstgesang" 😅
If I'm correct, they started as a choir for church.
Well, if you like german wierd music, then go for "Bilderbuch - Maschin" next! You'll love it! :)
1:28 This was amazingly close. Nice
There are not that many crazy German songs, but I really enjoy them. If you want some recommendations:
Großstadtgeflüster - Feierabend
Dicht und Ergreifend - Wandadoog
257er - Holz
Die Orsons - Ventilator
Listen to Wise Guys, you will love it
If you are into contemporary german hip-hop, you should check out "Die P" (translates to "The P") and her track "Ba Da bang". Amazing German boom bap, best German MC right now.
They remade the song 2021. Even this "Cover" great.
Dont forget the dutch Musicculture, Thunderdome Partys are the best..
If you're looking for some more great German Musicians: I recommend Alligatoah, Cro, Unheilig, Jennifer Rostock, Michael Schulte (he's basically Germany's Ed Sheeran), Fewjar, Make a Move and last but not least 257er.
Das ist ALLES nur geklaut 😀
You should listen to „(Du mußt ein) Schwein sein in dieser Welt“ by Die Prinzen. Loved that song so much already as a child. Even back then I thought they’re right when I watched the adults. 😂
The scenes from the music video are copied from popular music videos from Queen ZZtop and others in spirit with the lyrics of stealing creative ideas
As a german, not really knowing you, I was a little bit scared of what you say about the queer thing, but you said absolutely the right words, and I love you for that
QUEEN things, Du Dummi 😉
They are "Copying" everything. :)
