It's a rare event here in Connecticut USA. One night as I was closing down the front office at a local Inn about 11:30 PM, as an amateur Astronomer the first thing I would do is look up at the night sky to determine whether or not to go to a local observatory for some viewing. To my delight above the Inn's roof was an amazement display of green and red Northern Lights, they were spectacular. I quickly ran back in and down to the kitchen were Joe was finishing cleaning and washing dishes. Joe was from Jamaica were he would probably never have this opportunity. I told him 'come quick I want to show something amazing!' We went outside and I pointed up. When he looked up his eyes widened he let out a hoot of surprise in his delightful Jamaican accent. I'm so happy I was able to share one of nature's spectacular displays with a fellow Earthling.
