Honestly, once this Pikmin series is over, (I know you probably have other Pikmin stuff already planned, but if not) maybe you could look into playing Pikmin 251? I have no clue what’s about it myself, but maybe it’d be cool to watch/play?
I think making most of the captain upgrades at the end of game dungeon is a really silly thing to do, even if it is supposed to be way harder. Like at that point just make them be dropped by enemies that don’t spawn in to eliminate their use entirely

I think that if there were a couple of sublevels that were thrown in earlier in the game with the same type of style to prepare you for the final one, I'd feel a bit less salty
