- I did a video on Trusta's Geometry Dash Demon Progression a while back and it was a ton of fun!
Recently, life has been pretty crazy so I've had such little time to stream and whatnot, but I found a calm window to do whatever and took advantage of it. The GDDP had recently received a massive update which made for the perfect opportunity!

Hi, I’m one of the owners of the GDDP, and I can try and explain the algorithm a bit, but for more info, there’s a tweet from a few weeks ago on the official account
First, it’s still being worked on a little bit, it’s not fully finished and some things need to be tweaked
All levels on the main tracker have their skillsets ranked 0-3, 0 not appearing in the level and 3 means it’s the main focus and more than the average tier. Levels can have 1/3 and 2/3 if it isn’t he main focus but still an aspect, for example 1/3 for Sakupen Circles ship, since the level has 2 ship sections, but not hard ones relative to the difficulty of the top 10
You get XP based on the Fibonacci sequence with each tier giving more XP for higher values (1/3 onyx gives more than 3/3 beginner).
The recommendations logic is based on your GDDP progress. Let’s say you are Platinum Rank, you’ll get 1 level from the previous tier (or the tier before if no levels are available) for your worst skillset, 4 for your current tier on various skillsets, and 4 for the next tier for your best skill. If you are 2 away from the tier requirement of a higher tier (such as Diamond when your rank is platinum), you’ll start getting recommendations for that tier too.
There’s a little more to it, but that’s the general idea. The memes about the skillsets being wrong, levels that are wave based but still have ship can still be recommended for ship over wave if your skillsets are ship based (hyper paradox is a good example, it can recommend it for ship as well as wave)

a gddp series would be so entertaining and would be such a good way to provide varity to the content while also keeping a major theme that holds the videos together which is something a lot of gd videos fail to do

It was actually a really fun level for me, even though it took me about 300 attempts.

I stopped playing GD for 1 month and now I LITERALLY can't beat anything. I went from beating Insane Demons to struggling hard on easy-medium demons. So seeing tech struggling to beat an easy demon makes me more comfortable lol.

Your school stuff is really stressful, but just know your fans are always patient with this channel, I've seen the demotivation you've gone through several times in the past, and you are so strong for staying the same Tech I've know since you became the first legitimate victor of Zodiac. I stopped playing the game about 3 years ago and recently got back into it with the GDDP. It’s been a blast, and recently completing the Bronze+ tier I can confidently say I’m hooked on the game again.

i can actually explain the xp and recommendations thing bc i was in the project
basically they asked a bunch of people to rate the levels 0-3 based on their base (like if a level is wave, ship, memory, etc) and they compiled all the rates in a spreadsheet and calculated that into the system
really cool idea and i think it took them 3 months but i got into it in november 2022

Using the GDDP, I've gone from easy demons to insane demons (in 6 months), it really does help you especially if you're a player that can't do jumps from one level to another.

I only have 1 issue with the GDDP and that is that most of the levels in Beginner and Bronze are really, really bad. I've beaten around 120-125 demons and 6 of my 15 least favorites are in Beginner tier. I am aware that is a very opinion based thing but it's still really annoying
I found 7 out of 25 levels in the beginner to not suck
3 out of 12 don't suck in bronze
0 out of 3 in gold
0 out of 1 in platinum
You can truly tell this level selection is spectacular
