I just had mines a couple weeks ago. Spent $24,000. I kept pretty much everything standard. Most of my limit came from changing all the lights in the house to recessed lighting and I added 2 Ethernet port too all the rooms.
Congrats! You can't go wrong with adding more lighting.

Sounds different where you are
and that you could choose whatever you wanted to get
I have seen some MI communities that have the preselected packages for tile, carpet, cabinets, etc. This community is one that let's you choose that stuff individually so this video might not help is much. The preselected options definitely saves some time and stress though.

This was great info. My design center appointment is next month. With my builder, the center already advised me I can’t go over $12000, because it’s the difference between my approval amount and the price of the home. They require 2 four appointments. One for the initial options and the second to finalize the choices.

They made it easy on me by not offering me any options outside of the exterior and interior package.
Hello, May I ask the name of the backsplash in the kitchen and island countertop both are so very pretty…my builder Lombardo doesn’t have cabinet color pepper dust 😢
I'm not positive the names of them. They were under M/I's different levels. Sorry I couldn't be more help with that one.
