XD
@James Bowen Yeah that first & second point especially. If you're playing as a queer Shep, it should've been possible to atleast throw a pickup line his way 😂
I wish they had more dialogue options for James. For a dialogue options involving a maleshep/ Kaidan relationship. I can see James asking a stupid question such as " who's the pitcher and who's the catcher.?". It fits the character since he's a crass meathead.
Man Femshep can be so creepy in this DLC. At the party you can pressure James into a one night stand and I hate it. It seems like Shepard may have gotten too used to people being unable to say no to her. I also hate that a single Femshep at the rowdy party will hook up with Javik if he’s invited without the players consent.
James is an under appreciated character. He is funny. Strong. And has a good heart for the crew and not too mention his determination towards his goals. Plus his comic relief is nice.
Most characters are more interesting than him I feel, but... he's the best out of all the human male squad members in the four Mass Effect games, that certainly counts for something :D

Yeah, no shit. It's interesting, actually. Both here and in Jacob interactions in ME2 you could see this side of femshep, and it's borderline harassment, really
@@friendlyreaper9012 what do you mean “you aren’t one of those people”? As far as I’m concerned, it’s messed up when people let others get away with doing bad things. I may personally be someone others would call an extremist on some topics, but what I just said should be something that unifies everyone, regardless of one’s views broadly.

Shepard: " Oh yes... she has, and it has teeth." James: "What?!" Shepard: "Ahahaha, Javik was right! You believe in any joke!" Javik passing by: "I told you, primitive..." *evil laughts
I always loved James I thought he was a very interesting character with his background story and sense of humor. I wish femshep could legitimately romance him.
I always really liked James as a character, and Freddie Prinze, Jr. did a great job with him. (FPJ is also a fan, which I feel always adds something.) I can see people dismissing him as a broad stereotype, but he has interesting depth if you get to know him.
@@JonR_1138 They're both kinda bland, gereic soldier types of personalities. But James has the distinct advantage of always being usefull in combat, due to hiss bulk and AR. And not cheating on Femshep, and not being a racist. Plus ME3 had a lot more background fluff, which helped bring James out, which was something that Jacob didn't have
@@jesperstoringgaard8367 I enjoyed the banter between Garrus and James. That was amusing. I think the writers at bioware could have written Jacob better. James' usefulness in combat was limited but his one liners made up for it. Jacob wasn't useful and didn't really have the dialogue.
Honestly, all characters can be dismissed in broad stereotypes. It's up the gamer to go beyond that with the character, and I find many who really dislike perfectly ok characters to just be selective. Replaying the trilogy on legendary edition made me realize how much isn't really there and it's really up to the player to give more subtext and fill-in the voids. Even with Garrus, who I remembered having more material than what he actually had upon replay. I actually like almost all the squadmates and their varying levels of neediness and dependency on Shep.
Thane and Jacob are like that because you have no romance at that point. Same thing happens when FemShep stays alone through ME1 2 and 3. Jacob and Thane's romances are ended when you do the Cerberus scientists mission or Thane's hospital death scene respectively. After that you are romanceless. (Thats why you can say goodbye to Thane and immediately after that go to the Normandy and romance Traynor in the shower.)
I love that James have a speacial dialogue for Mshep and cortez romance, James and cortez are practically best friends so i love he have something unique to say about it
James is actually a solid side character, he really gave me the grunt under you vibe but had good enough skills to be part of the main ops party. Hes a good friend to estevan, has a little bachstory and even animated movie. Hes the new kid on the block trying to prove himself and hes not bad tank, tho hes no grunt ;_; hes similar to him in skills. i still find him to have more character than kaidan tbh but kaidan is my bro, a boring sensitive bro but still MY bro.
James is one of the more fleshed out characters with two variations in his character. If you take the time to talk to him he reveals himself as a generally great dude. However ignoring him leads to him being indifferent towards you (a case of never meet your hero). Definitely a way better character than Jacob.
James is a cool guy, and as a Squad Mate maybe I'd like him if I used him past what was forced. But I just can't get over the fact that we got him *instead of a Krogan.*
I love how awkward James is around Tali, not just in the scene you featured in this video but also before they join Shepard on the Geth Dreadnought and talking about her (and other the Quarians, but mainly Tali) after the Geth Dreadnought Honestly, with the fact that James can hook up with Ashley in the Citadel DLC, I kinda wish him and an unromanced Tali hooked up if Garrus was dead, Shepard wasn’t romancing her, and if Kaidan was saved in ME1 instead of Ashley, or maybe ambient dialogue of Tali shooting James down in the nicest way possible >:3
I really love how James is just THE most normal person on the squad. He's no biotic, he's not some enhanced super soldier. Hell, his biggest accomplishment before ME3 was getting intel on collectors, which was rendered useless when Shepard killed them off. He's just a regular man trying his best, and he ends up being paired with the saviors of the galaxy.
I still wish that when Vega says "Do Quarians/Turians have...?" the game would give you a dialogue option so you can either say "have?" or "yes." It would have been amazing if Shepard's reply was "yeah... and its better than with humans."
I love James. However, that FemShep flirtation with James scene was so awkward and creepy. I felt like I was watching sexual harassment as it was happening, and James looked so victimized there.
it reminds me of Terry Crews' history with sexual harassment, "he's ripped and he's a dude so it's okay". the flirting is fun up until the player actually makes a move, that's when it becomes creepy
@@efteron5342 Um no the difference is that in Terry Crews case girls touch and fondle him even after he said its not cool, this happens with a lot of guys. Shepard never touched James and backed off respectfully
Beta, FemShep was obviously flirting, any man would be blessed to have her flirt with them, also he rejected her and she backed off, obviously not harassment.
Someone teach poor innocent James how to use an extranet. I am sure he will find a lot of information and videos there about Turians, and about Quarians, and even about Khanars with Elkor.🤣🤣 PS From the sounds of alarm after Shepard's sudden flirtation, tea poured through my nose. Next time I will be more prudent, and I will not drink liquids while watching.😉😆
It always seemed weird to me that people seem that clueless in the Trilogy about that stuff, like we all know realisticly people would research the shit out of how the other space races... work. I get why the devs did it, but come on 😂
I thought it was neat during my last play through my femshep romances liara from ME1-ME3, and I kept Ashley alive. During the citadel DLC, James actually hooks up with Ashley and they have some pretty risqué dialogue if you listen in
Man that edit about the thirst level was hilarious. I do hate how creepy Femshep can be to James though. What’s worse though is James came up to show Shepard his N7 tattoo, so after that convo with thirsty Femshep I can’t believe he still takes off his shirt to show her the tattoo.
One of many things I love about ME is how humanly messy it can get with relationships. It's like 10 series of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. My femShep romanced Kaidan in ME1. He was kind and sensitive, not like most of soldiers she worked with in the past. Liara had a serious crush on her (even Kaidan pointed that out) and Garrus was with awe with her, but not romantically (more like career wise). She saved Kaidan on Vimire, but not because she had feelings for him. It was a logical choice, he was simply on the right strategic place when she called Normandy to close on Salarians' location. In ME2, Garrus is the first familiar face (well, after Joker, but anyway). With a close call that is his recruiting mission, Shepard seens almost a divine angel send to help him get through the impossible and the injury clicks in them, that maybe they care about each other more than they thought (so far purely platonicly). Than Horizon happens, Shep and Kaidan has a terrible fight full of hurt and Garrus is there to defend her (he really does, if you have him in your party). She's so angry, it's a break up in her eyes. Garrus is there to have her back. Of course he is. Shepard talks him through this Sidonis thing, they heal each other. And than the flirting starts. They pick up Thane, a broken man trying to correct his mistakes, as Shep sees him. She gives him hope and strength, and he calls her "Siha". But he can sense she's already close with Garrus and regardless, she deserves better than him, so, he never tells her what those words truly mean. The night before the Suicide Mission feels so much more meaningful than the release before Ilos. They didn't plan on it to be, not even in slightest, yet it somehow was. For once, something went right (yes, Garrus' quote Easteregg). When Liara comes by, she immediately picks up on their little romance, as a great friend she is. They talk for hours and Shepard confesses her feelings for him. It's nice to have a supportive voice of reason to hear out. She's called to Earth for the trial. She's grounded until Reapers swoopes from the sky. Her, James and Kaidan are sent to Mars. They argue a lot, like they just picked up right after Horizon, but she's done justifying herself. She will hear no more of this. Garrus would have get it, he did get it. Then, Kaidan gets hurt, on her watch. James appreciates the talk and inserts an innocent flirt to ease her tension in return. Liara's there, worring, checking, as always. It's nice. They arrive on Menae, it's just like old times. They fit to their roles in a split second, like last two years were just a week. Back on the ship, Garrus is hesitant, though. He's awkward about it, as usual (cute). You can almost hear the boulder fall off his chest when Shep reassures him it's all the same to her. They're equals more than they ever were. Shepard is the driving force behind human fleet, Garrus is the tactical backbone for his people. It wears them both down, but at least they have each other. Kaidan gets better. You have a lot of time to think about your life mistakes when you almost dies. He apologizes, tries to reconnect. Shepard doesn't feel that way anymore. Didn't for a long time, actually, and it's clear as a day. Garrus decides they should get some "date time" together. Apparently, you need a shore leave even during the war of the history. It's the day Shep tells him "I love you." The constant possibility of death makes you say things you might normally hold on for a little longer, but she means them nevertheless. He doesn't say it back, he's probably a bit taken aback. It's ok, she's not a teenager and she knows what she means to him without the need to hear it. James is still stupid with his jokes and flirts, but it helps to lightened the mood on the ship. It even looks like he actually helped gain Garrus more confidence in his romantic abilities, or maybe it was that "I love you" line on the top of the Presidium. Probably both. Citadel gets attacked and Thane dies. She's there, reading the prayers from Kolyat's book. Why does the prayer mentions "her"? Because the the prayer wasn't ment for him, Kolyat tells her. In that moment, she finally understands the word "Siha". They seem to finally turn the tide enough, so there's some time to blow of the steam before the fleets prepare and the Cruicible is ready. Shepard and Joker goes to a sushi bar when sh*t goes sideways. When they're back at the appartment they talk and Garrus just casually calls her "the love of my life". He might be not comfortable with the direct line, but he definitely knows his way around that. Anyway, they need to infiltrate the charity party, so there's more of that "date time" Garrus wanted. Since when was work so much fun? She probably was in a wrong specialization. Being a full time spy operative would be much more fun, less life threatening decisions to make. They all make it, even Normandy. Now the true uninterrupted shore leave can begun. They plan a party. All are invited. A few beers and they almost seem like a married couple. That night, it almost feels like the world is back to normal for a while. He always talks about their "date time", but when Shep points out they never really had a proper "first date" where he would seduce her, Garrus seems sheepish. He's caught up some skills since the Suicide Mission, surely he could do it. Except he don't, not when he feels like at a gunpoint under the pressure of human appropriate compliments. It's funny to be honest. If they didn't met on the battlefield and he tried this on her, she would be very sorry for his pathetic try. Or maybe? Gurrus is out of banter and resigns on this first date bull crap. Flirting was never his long suit, but he could always rely on his gut. So when he hears the first tones of the song, he follows it. Who said they have to explore only his weak spots on this date. He grabs Shep's wrists and draws her towards the dance floor. She withdraws immediately, just as he thought, but that's not gonna help her. They're doing this! Turns out, she's pretty good at dancing if she has the right lead. Someone who can break down the tight grip of the fear of embarrassment. Like him with flirting. They're perfect for each other. They complement each other. It's beautiful. And than there's Vega, because ofc the is. Just reminding the crowd, that there's nothing, no one, who could get between them. They fail at Thesia, Liara is broken. It's time Shepard gives back some of the support Liara always provided. Sadly, she doesn't know how to do it in that same sweet, calm and kind way, but she tries and it seems to work. They crash on an ocean planet while chasing after the Leviathan. She has to dive into the see in Triton. He doesn't want her to go. It's suicide. They don't even know if it will work. But they have no choice. They might all die on this wreckage anyway. It's too long since the last contact and the Reapers troops are still coming. The mech emerges and Shepard drops out. He doesn't think, he gets to her, drags he to the Kodiak. She's not breathing. "Shepard!" Not responding. He panics. CPR. They should get her out of her suit, apply medigel, warm her cold body... and than she breathes. "Never do that again." That's all he can manage. It's the last few hours before the final push, they spend them together, but neither of them can sleep for more than an hour. When their on the ground, waiting for armies to regroup for the coordinated attack. They joke about about their future after they defeat Reapers. They joke about having kids. Like any of them would know how parent. It's silly. It's lovely. Liara wants to give her a gift. She joins their minds and takes them through her memories of them. The connection doesn't show just images, though, Shepard can also feel emotions. Liara's emotions towards her. She doesn't say anything after it ends, just "thank you". And there's not much else needed. They both understand now. The red beam crosses their path. Garrus's injured. The Harbinger is focusing on the soliders closer to the beacon. They can get them to safety with Normandy's stealth core. She helps him on board, but doesn't follow further. "We're in this to the end." Yes, but this is the end. She's almost ready to turn and let go, when she finally hears "I... love you, too." Her heart breaks and it's the final drop that makes her to withhold her hand and run towards the beacon. The Cruicible is ready to fire, they have an order to retreat. Joker's trying to ignore Hackett's voice, Garrus can't make himself to do anything. He's on the cold metal floor. The pain from his injuries feels strangely numb. This is not how it should have gone. Javik is the voice of reason they all so desperately need. And it bears an uncharacteristic amount of empathy. Joker pulls out and sets a course to the mass relay. They're all silent. I totally just wrote the scatch-draft of my headcanon fic, didn't I? Shite... 😅 Well, to anyone who managed to read it all way through, you are a hero in my book 😂 I just love my love triangle (Kaidan/Shepard/Garrus) with a hidden fourth member (Thane), a crush (Liara) and a flirt (James) on the side ❤
Quarians have the same reproductive systemta as humans, we can learn that from ME2. From Mordin's advice in ME2, we can also understand that the turians have the same thing.
@@maestrrsantarael6590I mean, Turians have "same" stuff to reproduce as we have. If you get Shepard really drunk in MS 1 or MS 2 (forgot which one), your squad wakes you up in a toilet while some Turian guy is using Pissoir (you can even see the stream, camera really points at it). @@irisravenhild9060 That scene on Menae where you here his voice from behind and he comes up and takes Shepard’s hand is the best-it’s an awesome scene even when you’re not romancing him 😸
Liara is alright. I’m ambivalent. Poor Kaidan got in my bad book fast. My first play through of ME1, I was just trying to be civil and friendly, and it took me by unpleasant surprise when they both started flirting…so I left Kaidan on Virmire. RIP Kaidan. It makes more sense to me for Ashley and all her issues to do the heel turn on Horizon and almost side with Udina, anyway.
That was intersting particularly that deer in the headlight look from James. And I forgot how strong Fem Shepard can sometimes come on to a potential love interest. She does it with Joker as well and they both shoot her down.
Oh man I couldn't stop myself from laughing the sure fact that Shepherd gets up and in James's face interested in him and it can't stand to look at Shepherd and instead looks at the camera with the most shocked face imaginable is just funny as hell!
I just love how when Maleshep answers James' "Quarian question", he starts crossing his arms and walking towards him. With that perfect cut, it looks like James is about to get roasted by his CO.
i have my beef with the human companions throughout the series, but i think James really nailed the mark. For a character you meet in what is essentially the finale, he never overshadows the other characters, and usually makes them look cooler/funnier through interacting with him. And he does it while still having his own distinct personality
I love James, guy is such a stand-up companion and person. Kind, compassionate, strong, and he's really down to earth when it comes to his position with everyone on the Normandy. Honestly James is a really good friend, and the game and crew would be poorer without him.
Vega is my favorite new character. I would like to see his character develop in a future title. Maybe commander of the Normandy, Spectre Agent, N7. Basically just follow in Shepherd’s footsteps.
I romanced Thane in ME2, but I had also romance Kaidan in ME1 and then reconciled with him and reignighted our relationship. FemShep STILL gets the funeral scene with Thane in romance version, and STILL gets the videos from him in the DLC, same as for the full romance. Thane had kept calling FemShep Siha, so I headcanon that he understood she loved them both as did Kaidan, and she had her time with Thane, said goodbye to him, and had Kaidan by her side before and after.
I always feel bad for James, he was only throw in there cause they needed a third companion but he seems like a cool guy and the whole newbie n7/apprentice story sounds like a really fun time imo.
So my shep was supossed to be faithful to thane even praise this on his funeral, this scene cought me off guard but i always select the renegade option afterwall she always was flirty since mass effect 1 even had the famous threesome quote with kaidan and liara back in the day, so for luck the renegade option always make the roleplay trueful since she always flirt but doesn't necesseraly means that she wants, in my case she just like to teasing and see what makes then tic, sometimes she gets interessed like in kaidan's case in ME1 but mostly like jacob, james and even joker she is just teasing and measing it up with then, glad that she never lost her touch after falling in love or over the mourning, in fact and ironically she never got flirty with thane, in the beggining she didn't trust him but over time she starts to grow true feelings and tried to hide under the "i just wanna know about the drew culture" but afterwards she couldn't hide anymore that what she was feeling was true love and deep care about thane.
I honestly would’ve liked an answer to Vega’s question about Tali and Garrus biology considering the fact that BioWare doesn’t put as much effort into the final romance scenes for them in both 2 and 3 but for some reason they put more video into Liara, Ashley/Kaiden, and Traynor That and considering they didn’t show us Tali’s face in actual gameplay I mean would it kill them to at least give us an answer as to what she looks like
I don’t think we need to know how they are biologically because that’d be awkward/embarrassing and from the majority of times I’ve seen you you’ve always complained about Tali not showing her face but you clearly don’t realize that it’s better to have her face be a mystery as if the player would get to see her unmasked wouldn’t that take away the impact of their romance?
@@axelnilsson5124 I just think that BioWare could’ve given us better romance scenes in ME3 rather than Liara being like the only one who gets an actual scene other than the virmire survivor but I mean even still Ashley and Kaiden don’t even get as good a scene as Liara

Well I have to admit, I am playing the whole Mass Effect series for the first time and I regret not doing it earlier, even though I kinda annoy my friends with my thirst for a specific Turian..... But, I like James and the Apartment DLC is hilariously entertaining!
So...I knew that FemShep/James awkwardness was coming...and I love the editing...but I hate that scene soooo much I couldn't finish the video. Still thumbs up!
the first time I played ME3, was way, way back before any of its dlc got released. back when its original "ending" was all there was. the upgraded "ending" made it better, if only slightly. having played it again as part of the LE when it was released, I liked James. he was fun and I really should play the game again. making no changes to who I romance. already have the best romance option imo (Tali) but taking him on more missions rather than just having Garrus and Tali as my team. Do I simp for Tali? yes, yes I do.
James' shocked face at Shepard's instant thirst made me think Freddie Prinze Jr. had to do a bunch of takes on that scene. I can just picture him laughing out loud in the booth for a solid five to ten minutes straight trying to focus.
So there is a part in mass effect 3 I can't stop laughing at is when Garrus tells Shepard and Tali to get a room. I couldn't stop laughing at it. To be honest I want more of its funny.
James: "I like to give 'im a hard time, but... he's a great guy. Been through a lot. Glad you two found each other." I like moments like this, where the usual meathead is just kinda chill about things like this. Understand that Cortez is who he is and has no judgement for him. One could hope, in a world full of aliens with redundant organs and biomechanical killing machines that they'd get over homophobia. Hell, James knows Cortez might be slipping him a side-eye while he works out and doesn't mind.
Citadel DLC really makes you realise the Devs intended you to romance Liars as Canon. Everyone else in ME3 finds an alternate love interest or someone else to care for except Liara. (Don’t really count the Drell because he doesn’t really appear in the game)

Yeah, no shit. It's interesting, actually. Both here and in Jacob interactions in ME2 you could see this side of femshep, and it's borderline harassment, really
I'm not one of those people but imagine if the genders were swapped.
@@friendlyreaper9012 I get you. The double standards when it comes to sexual harrassment are baffling.
@@friendlyreaper9012 what do you mean “you aren’t one of those people”?
As far as I’m concerned, it’s messed up when people let others get away with doing bad things. It doesn’t matter who is doing the bad thing or what their demographics are.
I may personally be someone others would call an extremist on some topics, but what I just said should be something that unifies everyone, regardless of one’s views broadly.
James: "Hey, is it true you and Tali are... you know, together?"
Shepard: "Yeah... why?"
James: "I mean, is she... you know... under that suit, do Quarians have...?"

I always loved James I thought he was a very interesting character with his background story and sense of humor. I wish femshep could legitimately romance him.
I agree-James is a great guy. Besides, he’s Iron Bull!
Mr. Vega is one of my faves.
the only things I don't like about him are the spanish phrases he randomly drops
I always really liked James as a character, and Freddie Prinze, Jr. did a great job with him. (FPJ is also a fan, which I feel always adds something.) I can see people dismissing him as a broad stereotype, but he has interesting depth if you get to know him.
I prefer James over Jacob. I would have liked to see more in the game with James.
I love James. He's the best bro femshep ever had.
Did that on my last playthrough.
Huge disrespect.
I do it every time I play as Femshep.
I lost it when you added the sound effect when Shepard slithered towards James..
She slid into his dm's
@@MrHulthen she thirsty and she wants James to quench her thirst..
I never understand why people say Kaiden has no character. Do they just hit mute whenever he's talking?
IKR
Arousing.
Holy shit, we are reaching thirst levels never seen before with Femshep haha
James is one of the more fleshed out characters with two variations in his character. If you take the time to talk to him he reveals himself as a generally great dude. However ignoring him leads to him being indifferent towards you (a case of never meet your hero).
Definitely a way better character than Jacob.
James is a cool guy, and as a Squad Mate maybe I'd like him if I used him past what was forced.
But I just can't get over the fact that we got him *instead of a Krogan.*
I love how awkward James is around Tali, not just in the scene you featured in this video but also before they join Shepard on the Geth Dreadnought and talking about her (and other the Quarians, but mainly Tali) after the Geth Dreadnought
Honestly, with the fact that James can hook up with Ashley in the Citadel DLC, I kinda wish him and an unromanced Tali hooked up if Garrus was dead, Shepard wasn’t romancing her, and if Kaidan was saved in ME1 instead of Ashley, or maybe ambient dialogue of Tali shooting James down in the nicest way possible >:3
Depending on your class you’re biotic and also since ME2 you’re enhanced through cerberus
I still wish that when Vega says "Do Quarians/Turians have...?" the game would give you a dialogue option so you can either say "have?" or "yes." It would have been amazing if Shepard's reply was "yeah... and its better than with humans."
Would be hilarious to see James' reaction, but it would also kill the imagination which was always a big part of these two romances.
That reply would've been cringe af.
@@robertgadling7217 Thats fair. Still, just being able to say "yes" would have been funny.
"Yeah, and it's longer..."
I always envision my FemShepard telling James the answer right after.
I love James. However, that FemShep flirtation with James scene was so awkward and creepy. I felt like I was watching sexual harassment as it was happening, and James looked so victimized there.
If you know James's backstory, it's even worse. Essentially, Shepard was his idol and inspiration going into the military.
If you think she looks creepy here watch the video where she tries to win Jacob back in ME3.
it reminds me of Terry Crews' history with sexual harassment, "he's ripped and he's a dude so it's okay". the flirting is fun up until the player actually makes a move, that's when it becomes creepy

Shepard: Choose your next words carefully.
It was in that moment James knew true fear
Great stuff, man . Fem Shep putting Vega on the ropes 😆
Someone teach poor innocent James how to use an extranet. I am sure he will find a lot of information and videos there about Turians, and about Quarians, and even about Khanars with Elkor.🤣🤣
PS From the sounds of alarm after Shepard's sudden flirtation, tea poured through my nose. Next time I will be more prudent, and I will not drink liquids while watching.😉😆
It always seemed weird to me that people seem that clueless in the Trilogy about that stuff, like we all know realisticly people would research the shit out of how the other space races... work.
I get why the devs did it, but come on 😂
maybe he’s too afraid to look it up
I thought it was neat during my last play through my femshep romances liara from ME1-ME3, and I kept Ashley alive. During the citadel DLC, James actually hooks up with Ashley and they have some pretty risqué dialogue if you listen in
Tú con tantas curvas y yo sin frenos. XD
Man that edit about the thirst level was hilarious. I do hate how creepy Femshep can be to James though. What’s worse though is James came up to show Shepard his N7 tattoo, so after that convo with thirsty Femshep I can’t believe he still takes off his shirt to show her the tattoo.
I was dying of laughter when the Thane/Jacob thing happened, it was such a pain watching it cause I was kinda cringing but I was so amused by it
One of many things I love about ME is how humanly messy it can get with relationships.

Yeah, that look is so relatable 😂
Like a deer in the headlights. I felt a little bad for the guy, tbh. 😅
ROFL that scene with Thane and Jacob was absolutely hilarious. Had never seen it.
I didnt really care for James when ME3 first came out, but he’s actually one of the more interesting characters in the game
Vega is my favorite new character. I would like to see his character develop in a future title. Maybe commander of the Normandy, Spectre Agent, N7. Basically just follow in Shepherd’s footsteps.
James looked like he was about to jump over the railing, and bolt out the door. Femshep should be proud.
3:15 Love that deer in the headlights look on his face. The artists worked really hard to make him sweat like that :)
You get the funeral scene and videos from him even as male Shepard.
It's only about him being a friend. And tbh, he deserves it

Really pissed that he didn't mention Jack or Miranda. It's as if Mac Walters had an irrational hatred for ME 2 and the romance options
I don’t think it’s necessary anyways as they’re both human
I honestly would’ve liked an answer to Vega’s question about Tali and Garrus biology considering the fact that BioWare doesn’t put as much effort into the final romance scenes for them in both 2 and 3 but for some reason they put more video into Liara, Ashley/Kaiden, and Traynor
That and considering they didn’t show us Tali’s face in actual gameplay
I mean would it kill them to at least give us an answer as to what she looks like
I don’t think we need to know how they are biologically because that’d be awkward/embarrassing and from the majority of times I’ve seen you you’ve always complained about Tali not showing her face but you clearly don’t realize that it’s better to have her face be a mystery as if the player would get to see her unmasked wouldn’t that take away the impact of their romance?
@@axelnilsson5124 I just think that BioWare could’ve given us better romance scenes in ME3 rather than Liara being like the only one who gets an actual scene other than the virmire survivor but I mean even still Ashley and Kaiden don’t even get as good a scene as Liara
never got this dialouge till a few days ago in my first femshep playthough. Obviously romanced garrus but its funny all the flirty convos shep and vega have regardless of your romance

I’m crying, this was hilarious. Thank you for posting 👍
This makes me feel all kinds of uncomfortable. Why tf would Bioware think doing this with Vega was a good idea? They did my boy so dirty and I hate it 💀
FemShep flirting is the perfect mix of masculine confidence and feminine seduction. Damn my man James is a lucky one.
That's why I love it ❤️!
I guess we’ve all wondered about Garrus’ and Tali’s biology.
Or more accurately: their anatomy (but I guess the same can be said about every alien)
The Garrus one is the best because you KNOW you've asked yourself the same question at some point regarding the matter of being anatomically correct by human standards. :P
More than a decade later and some 15 playthroughs I still haven't exhausted every piece of dialogue out there. Amazing game.
His comment with Cortez was sweet.
James being curious about Shepard and Tali/Garrus, but not Liara implies he is already "familiar" with asari anatomy.
He probably had a one night stance with the consort
I like how he reacts when he finds out my Male Shepherd is in a loving relationship with Steve Cortez..
I love his reaction to the Tali romance, that's how i imagine some of the ones who don't do Tali's romance, they don't get why we go for her 😊
Well I have to admit, I am playing the whole Mass Effect series for the first time and I regret not doing it earlier, even though I kinda annoy my friends with my thirst for a specific Turian.....
But, I like James and the Apartment DLC is hilariously entertaining!
3:45 There are tornado sirens going off in Vega's head right now. Man is about to frontflip over that railing and book it out the door.
So...I knew that FemShep/James awkwardness was coming...and I love the editing...but I hate that scene soooo much I couldn't finish the video. Still thumbs up!
I am pretty sure male shep would be arrested being so direct with a female subordinate.
I'm ashamed they didn't make another "reach and flexibility" joke when FemShep is asked about Garrus lol
Starting to warm up to James. His most human "oh, shit, what did I just step in?" reaction in this scene is too good.
Fem Shep: "So you can give it but can't take it."
James: "no" X_X
If femshep slid up to me like that, I’d loose it! But Vega’s response makes sense too.
The Movie about James, Paragon lost, made me really appreciate him and after the movie I saw him in a much different light.
Thane got shorted..but if he survived i think it would be harder to be Garrus girl every time :)
Holy shit, I never knew how seductive fem Shep's voice was 🥵
3:27 He is so fucking scared XD
the first time I played ME3, was way, way back before any of its dlc got released. back when its original "ending" was all there was. the upgraded "ending" made it better, if only slightly. having played it again as part of the LE when it was released, I liked James. he was fun and I really should play the game again. making no changes to who I romance. already have the best romance option imo (Tali) but taking him on more missions rather than just having Garrus and Tali as my team.
Do I simp for Tali? yes, yes I do.
*"CRITICAL LEVELS OF THIRST"* 😭😭😭😭😭
James' shocked face at Shepard's instant thirst made me think Freddie Prinze Jr. had to do a bunch of takes on that scene. I can just picture him laughing out loud in the booth for a solid five to ten minutes straight trying to focus.
James has questions about Turian and Quarian anatomy.
James doesn't ask anything about the Asari.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW, JAMES?
3:03-3:11 this clearly is supposed to imply he’s had one night stances
james at first i thought will be some buffed up grunt but turned one of the best squadmates in the game
His reactions to Tali and Garrus are the best
So there is a part in mass effect 3 I can't stop laughing at is when Garrus tells Shepard and Tali to get a room. I couldn't stop laughing at it. To be honest I want more of its funny.
Oh my God the sheer look of like what the fuck is happening one female Shepard is saying that she's interested
He is actually on of my most used squad mates, because unless you have Ashley or Wrex available he is your only tank (unless Shep is a soilder).
I don't think I've used him for anything, but looking back it feels like he's one underrated bro
James with terror in his eyes: Oh Shit
James: "I like to give 'im a hard time, but... he's a great guy. Been through a lot. Glad you two found each other."
I like moments like this, where the usual meathead is just kinda chill about things like this. Understand that Cortez is who he is and has no judgement for him. One could hope, in a world full of aliens with redundant organs and biomechanical killing machines that they'd get over homophobia. Hell, James knows Cortez might be slipping him a side-eye while he works out and doesn't mind.
He mention it in first conversation and was ok with it.
Man maybe I should really experiment with other romance options😁
Lmao shepard totally knows what James is talking about when he asks if they have the same parts.
James is the best.
Citadel DLC really makes you realise the Devs intended you to romance Liars as Canon. Everyone else in ME3 finds an alternate love interest or someone else to care for except Liara. (Don’t really count the Drell because he doesn’t really appear in the game)
Whoa, I had no idea this part with Femshep flirting with James existed. That shows her from a completely different angle of personality. I love it!
Before so many year's & bioware was forward to "things"😅 like that 😂
That look of terror... omg we finally found something that scares him.🤣
If this was Dragon Age, 4:55 would sound more like
Shepard: "Actual, I'm the one giving him a *hard time*"
Oh this man! I LOVE HIM. His face in min 2:33 😍😍😍 All the faces he makes in this part, he's too cute , I cant ressist 🙈😆The very first time I saw James Vega, I knew it was the end of me. I cant understand why Bioware didnt make him available for full romance😭 And, certainly, I cant understand why many people dislike him. He is funny and 🔥🔥🔥 I wish this DLC's "one night stand thingy option" they made was better than a clear attempt to oblige him into... you know...😞 Anyway, he is the first one I choose for squad mate. The dialogues are so fun!♥ Thank you for this vid!🥰
