Is that sliding attack a glitch or an intended feature? it looks like a glitch now, but if they add some dirt debris at the feet then it would look really good and show that it is actually intended and not just some random glitch
@@ShadowNinjax29 Some attacks have this slide function and some do not. I think it is intended but I don't think the sprint modifier extending it was intended. Its fun and with no pvp, I see it as a cool feature. Think Smash Bros wave dashing.

If you hold left click until your right hand repeater shoots, and then tap it again , you shoot 2 bullets really fast . It's not that much of a difference but since you said that you were looking for repeater tricks i thought it might have interested you
For the repeaters droppable buff, my "advanced mechanic" is slightly cancelling the drop animation by pressing Q looking forward then quickly dashing towards it. This makes you almost instantly pick it up and makes you not have to waste time aiming your mouse downwards to throw it at your feet.
Warpike's 4th piercing attack gives you empowered if you quickly follow up with aether harvest attack combo. No one has covered this besides Januaryandon.
For the repeaters, the full bore barrel does piercing/punch through type damage. So firing the shots down the full length of the body does the most damage because more hits deal more damage.
Tip for fighting in general. On some behemoths you can roll underneath and attack for quite some time if you do it right. Just roll to each leg front to back or back to front because of the swiping attack that the monster has. I have a setup that gives me the advantage in dodging/staggering/health so i can stay in that underneath area for a bit causing major damage over a short period of time. Its actually very fun playing this way.
Using CHAINBLADES: DASH + HEAVY ATACK >>> When hit connects : 'Q ABILITY ' Use your Dashing heavy attack as 'grappling HOOK', greatly increasing the range of the usual 'Q gapcloser'. It works even when using CRUEL RIFSTALKER - remember you (would normally) lose the 'Q' chain gapcloser (, when using CruelRifstalker).
A very good observation. This was particularly useful in the Beta before they nerfed Chainblades default disengage special to no longer interrupt a behemoth during certain animations (though the fact that they could interrupt to begin with was said by the devs to be an unintended bug). In short, having a high degree of skill with Chainblades allowed you to interrupt with your kick-off, grapple back unto the target with your heavy attack, and perfectly maximize your damage uptime. Now you need Weighted Strikes +6 to do so with Chainblades, which I highly recommend to anyone who honing their skills with them. BRO been looking for this exact type of video for 2 days. Every "guide" is just the most basic of combos, which is fine ig, but I want to learn to master my weapon not just things I could learn from looking at move list.

I got one more for the axe, specifically against Skarn's spin. Throw the axe when his attack starts, but don't call it back. Instead, let yourself get knocked-down by the spin normally. When the axe flies back to you, you'll leave the prone stance instantly WHILE the skarn is still spinning also but still count as having the i-frame from being hit. You'll be stuck in the vortex, but you'll take no further damage, leaving you in the perfect position to boop it at your pleasure. So long as you can tank 1 single hit, this works on Rockfall, too. This is pretty useful if you don't have weighted strike since the Spin punishes Resolve/Sturdy and the spin's attack radius on Rockfall's spin seems nearly the same as the axe's range to boop it (plus the "interruptible" part of the attack begins like, two seconds AFTER he's already started spinning).
A tip for repeaters I saw in you gameplay just now is that you can dodge while reloading close to a behemoth and still get empowered, I didn't know that until just now.
With ChainBlades try this: Dash forward and make an secondary (ranged) attack right at the end of the dash. This way you "throw" your chain blades to the front which is pretty usefull if u want to boop behemoths.
Well, the pike charge used to be a secret move. Fun Fact, if you alt attack with Chain blades immediately after a dodge, the attack will be a ranged stab. Not useful, but still a secret move.
Not useful? That's my go to move for interrupting unstable behemoths with Chain blades and +6 weighted strikes perk; way faster and predictable compared to the other ranged swings.
If you hold the fire button for repeaters for about 3 shots, right after shooting the third one you can re-hold it to cancel the time between shots, increasing the DPS
1st, don't shoot with the hammer unless you are using the Molten Edict, that's a big loss of dps 2nd, don't use the heavy attacks on chainblades unless you are equiped with +6 weighted strikes and you are trying to interumpt. the dash heavy to pull animation cancel would be a better tip even if it isn't used with the secondary special. 3rd, the warpike shoot cancel can happen as early as the camera zooms in, just spam dodge.

Hey, so I found an interaction of sorts for repeaters. The koshai lantern hold ability allows you to dash through a beastie and empower your reload at zero risk, if you time it correctly. Tap is also free heals from salvo / fullbore
For repeaters this might be common knowledge but for anyone who doesn't know you can preemptively shoot your mine to detonate it without the behemoth having to walk directly over it. This can be used to boop them if timed properly although it takes some getting used to.
Just saying but for warpike i just started and idk if this is a secret move but first you press dodge and then you press the heavy attack button which causes it to do a roll and then kinda does a hop and then slams which is very useful in some situation and it wasn't on the move list so just wondering
Chainblade extended heavy attack (dodge + heavy attack) followed by Q (or special button) will teleport you to the Behemoth provided you connect the hit. Works with any special.

Hammer bro. Been playing mostly hammer the last few months, but now I feel like missing out on these slide glitches, since axes had never been something for me.
You can shoot the repeaters faster on PC (dont know if other consoles do this) by alternating a hold mouse button for shooting, and then clicking immediately after the 3rd right repeater fires. So it'd go like this, (click-hold) Right-bang, Left-bang, Right-bang-(let go and click at the very end of the bang), right-bang again. Then repeat. Hold, Right-bang, Left-bang, Right-bang(let go and click hold again), right bang-again. If done right, the best would be like *Bang. Bang. Bangbang. Bang. Bang. Bangbang.* I've done it many times while using repeaters, and it helps a lot. I discovered it by accident after I figured out I could just hold click to keep shooting. I let go because I thought a behemoth was gonna attack, but then realized it was not, so I clicked again and noticed I shot out of rhythm, and faster. So I played around until I could repeat it, then learned how to do it on purpose. It helps to rack up some extra damage. Combine that with the close-combat, either charge, and attack-speed buffs, and it makes for a power-house of a weapon choice. Hardly ever get below an S++.
Deadite, you are a god amongst us mortals. How you even figure all of these out, then used them effectively, makes me want to hang up my controller/keyboard and just quit.
like axe and the sword, hammer do have "sliding" attack, while yes it is harder to execute and may not be reliable in the heat of battle, but you can do it It's the horizontal swing: Sprint (if you need to), jump, release directional button,left click/primary attack button,and move again.
for the Ostian repeaters you can cancel the reload animation by unsheathing your weapon as soon as the reload animation starts then spamming the roll button ex(Xbox): RB into pressing your analog stick then spamming B
The hammer actually lest you charge on shot per hit if you hit the charge button upon hitting an attack. You can also dispirse ammo upon proper timing to increase you damage. You can check out some video I have on my twitch NinjaArtStudios for a better example. Note that it also works for the more powerful shots gained from the combo finisher
as an repeater main the use of default camera button mid fight ( it will generally face to the behemoth automatically) after a dodge + the charge shot is easier to locked down a behemoth without missing or failing
Don’t know y but charrogg after fled the axe throw glitches and when it touches you or you recall it it still spins around your body nearly infinitely, and you can repeatedly slam the axe down, and mid slam the axe will still be on the character and dealing damage: The bey blade glitch
You can also combine combos on weapons, for an example on the pike instead of doing 3RMB for the full spin attack with a long animation, you can do: 2 RMB, 1 LMB and then continue with another RMB for the full spin attack which you get from the 3 RMB combo, also works vice versa for the LMB stabbing spree. You can even do 2 RMB, 2 LMB and still get the full spin doing that last RMB. This will help u get out a lot of dmg and dodge windows hence to the LMB attacks being much faster and shorter animations. I wouldn't know the buttons for console players, sorry.
with the repeaters if you time it correctly after the right gun's shot you can shoot it a second time slightly faster by just releasing and then re-pressing the button
i honestly think that the axe and sword slide attacks are more a glitch then a feature / technique. It's clearly not ment to be acting that way. I hope they fix it as a feature and add the respective animations because they really improve the gameplay experience
Sometimes, with repeaters, if you throw a grenade with them in hand, the animation will somehow screw with the run speed with them out. I’ve gotten it to happen a couple of times.
The sprinting charge pyke is also a secret move, also on chainblades secondary attack then the abillity will get you closer to the behemoth faster than with the abillity alone ( this move is useful when you got weighted strikes +6, when you look for staggers )
For the repeaters, i have occasionally been able to quickly fire off 2 or 3 shots rapidly by timing the trigger pull (ps4) idk if this is a mechanic or if its lag but look into it maybe
Only thing I got is grim onslaught at the beginning of a hunt or after drive off is useful for speeding up your jog to the behemoth considering axe wielders are the slowest walkers
Also save Koshai lantern's hold ability for movement against a behemoth getting away from you during a fight or to get away from them rather than just using it for raw damage
Few questions and would love some answers. What are those blue orbs that float around you. What's the best way to get loads of loot from each beast eg body parts. Which is the best armour. And what's your personal favourite weapon?
Hey, just thought I would answer part of this since i've had some observations regarding it, and whilst i may not be entirely correct this is what i've found: the best way to get a certain type of loot will be to break the associated part, cut of a tail or break a horn, or what else is required. from my experience (which may be wrong) i have noticed that sometimes green orbs may appear when you break a part (most often seen with cut off tails) if you pick these up you will definetly get that part, though from experience the orbs arent around that long, so it can be a good idea to keep an eye out when you break parts. I may just not be long into the game but from my understanding there is no "best armor" as armor is situational on the opponent you are fighting, if you are fighting a fire type enemy taking on firetype armor will often be the smartest choice, not though that if you are fighting an elemental enemy you will want your armor to be the same as its element and you weapon to be its opposite using ice weapons against fire enemies, and such, you may also notice that different armor types gives different "passives" (cant remember the name for them) and when you get further into the game it might be a good idea building for those, though it should still be said, to try and avoid having armor weaknesses against what you are fighting (using ice armor against a fire enemy is baaad, especially when you arent great at the game yet) and I know this probably wasn't directed at me but i personally prefer repeaters, as i suck at pulling off comboes, and i love throwing around buffs and assistance for my teammates. as for those blue orbs, i have no clue and would like it if somebody else answered as well, as i have seen them myself sometimes and am also confused.
I found a cool mechanic u draw ur repeater out then throw a grenade then spam shoot u get the fast movement speed during aiming u can shoot as well in this state but u return to slow movement speed when u get knocked down or roll its a good bug try it out.

When I was using the repeaters i somehow made my character able to run while aiming and shooting it was crazy

if the monster passes by you (while it's charging at you for example) while you are reloading it still works too

With the axe if you throw it and roll past it it keeps flying and you turn into a chainsaw

The hammer actually lest you charge on shot per hit if you hit the charge button upon hitting an attack. You can also dispirse ammo upon proper timing to increase you damage. You can check out some video I have on my twitch NinjaArtStudios for a better example. Note that it also works for the more powerful shots gained from the combo finisher
as an repeater main the use of default camera button mid fight ( it will generally face to the behemoth automatically) after a dodge + the charge shot is easier to locked down a behemoth without missing or failing

With the repeaters I noticed sometimes if you shoot 5 times at a gradual pace then double tap the button on the 5th hit it shoots twice in less time

Don’t know y but charrogg after fled the axe throw glitches and when it touches you or you recall it it still spins around your body nearly infinitely, and you can repeatedly slam the axe down, and mid slam the axe will still be on the character and dealing damage:

You can also shoot the mine you drop with your repeaters. More helpful since the monsters seem to not set it off a large % of the time.

The hammer also can do a charged 3rd strike if you time the special button right as the animation starts after the reload a shell mechanic
You can also combine combos on weapons, for an example on the pike instead of doing 3RMB for the full spin attack with a long animation, you can do: 2 RMB, 1 LMB and then continue with another RMB for the full spin attack which you get from the 3 RMB combo, also works vice versa for the LMB stabbing spree. You can even do 2 RMB, 2 LMB and still get the full spin doing that last RMB. This will help u get out a lot of dmg and dodge windows hence to the LMB attacks being much faster and shorter animations.
I wouldn't know the buttons for console players, sorry.

with the repeaters if you time it correctly after the right gun's shot you can shoot it a second time slightly faster by just releasing and then re-pressing the button

i honestly think that the axe and sword slide attacks are more a glitch then a feature / technique. It's clearly not ment to be acting that way. I hope they fix it as a feature and add the respective animations because they really improve the gameplay experience

Sometimes, with repeaters, if you throw a grenade with them in hand, the animation will somehow screw with the run speed with them out. I’ve gotten it to happen a couple of times.

The sprinting charge pyke is also a secret move, also on chainblades secondary attack then the abillity will get you closer to the behemoth faster than with the abillity alone ( this move is useful when you got weighted strikes +6, when you look for staggers )

For the repeaters, i have occasionally been able to quickly fire off 2 or 3 shots rapidly by timing the trigger pull (ps4) idk if this is a mechanic or if its lag but look into it maybe
Same on xbox and pc. Think it's lag tho :(
Only thing I got is grim onslaught at the beginning of a hunt or after drive off is useful for speeding up your jog to the behemoth considering axe wielders are the slowest walkers
Also save Koshai lantern's hold ability for movement against a behemoth getting away from you during a fight or to get away from them rather than just using it for raw damage

Hey, just thought I would answer part of this since i've had some observations regarding it, and whilst i may not be entirely correct this is what i've found:
the best way to get a certain type of loot will be to break the associated part, cut of a tail or break a horn, or what else is required. from my experience (which may be wrong) i have noticed that sometimes green orbs may appear when you break a part (most often seen with cut off tails) if you pick these up you will definetly get that part, though from experience the orbs arent around that long, so it can be a good idea to keep an eye out when you break parts.
I may just not be long into the game but from my understanding there is no "best armor" as armor is situational on the opponent you are fighting, if you are fighting a fire type enemy taking on firetype armor will often be the smartest choice, not though that if you are fighting an elemental enemy you will want your armor to be the same as its element and you weapon to be its opposite using ice weapons against fire enemies, and such, you may also notice that different armor types gives different "passives" (cant remember the name for them) and when you get further into the game it might be a good idea building for those, though it should still be said, to try and avoid having armor weaknesses against what you are fighting (using ice armor against a fire enemy is baaad, especially when you arent great at the game yet)
and I know this probably wasn't directed at me but i personally prefer repeaters, as i suck at pulling off comboes, and i love throwing around buffs and assistance for my teammates.
as for those blue orbs, i have no clue and would like it if somebody else answered as well, as i have seen them myself sometimes and am also confused.

I found a cool mechanic u draw ur repeater out then throw a grenade then spam shoot u get the fast movement speed during aiming u can shoot as well in this state but u return to slow movement speed when u get knocked down or roll its a good bug try it out.
