    That was my job for about a year.. local company refurbishes and manufactures key fobs and remotes.. now I supervise the department that makes aftermarket versions of the keys/remotes..!

    How do u know when to replace?
    Does low battery cause the door locks to go on n off repeated during drive??

      when you try unlocking or locking and nothing happens... or when you press either button and the red indicator light doesn't light up
      actually when it takes longer than usual for the car to respond to locking or unlocking, then you might want to change the battery. you don't want to be caught in the middle of the night, in a deserted place with a dead battery key fob right?

    Hi Sir, is it must be 1616 type of battery ?

    • @chefatron
      @chefatron  Год назад +1

      yes, or equivalent, coz some batteries have different name or code designation depending on which country or region you buy it from

    Thanks for posting this. Once you take that screw out it is not that complicated as it might seem. What they messed up is that little screw that is so difficult to open as it gets stuck due being unopened for years. I think in later model they got rid of that but it is really stupid design for just changing the battery. I really struggled with that stupid little screw--So Screw you Honda!!

      oh man, you're so right!
      hahahaha i see what you did there!
      i think they did it this way so you'd need to go back to them so they can charge you a replacement fee LOL

    You'd think they'd make it easier to replace than to completely taking it apart.

    • @chefatron
      @chefatron  2 года назад +1

      well, i think they don't want you to replace it on your own... they want you to bring it to the dealership so they can charge you a ridiculous amount just to change the battery...
