Shepard and Kaidan. Canon.I don't really have any explanation as to why I believe they are canon. There are many possible romances in Mass Effect, but I feel as if this romance is the rawest and most emotional one. Kaidan has been with Shepard since the beginning on the SR1 in Mass Effect 1, and if chosen to live, I believe that Kaidan falls in love with his commander no matter what the player chooses. She held his life in her hands, and only saved him. This series has really put me through emotional bursts of anger and sadness and other crappy emotions, and I can't play this game without romancing Kaidan. So yes, this couple is as canon as it gets for me.
