- D6700 is the first ever to be built Class 37 and that is why this locomotive was the first up for preservation during the withdrawal of the Class. Whilst visiting GCR on Wednesday 29th May 2024 I collect some very good scenes of this beast so I've made an episode out of it all. The other train of the day was British Railways Class 8F No. 48305 Steam Locomotive which was once stationed at my hometown of Wellingborough. A similar video to this one has been made and will be released in due time.
The full video "I'm disappointed but G.C.R makes up for it" will be released on the main channel over the weekend.
Wonderful Woodward coach interiors
Yh beautiful aren't they. I'm sure the one that caught fire in Rushden is very similar
Class 37's really do look their best in BR green! My local preserved railway also has an immaculate Class 37 - D6948 - in the same livery. Maybe one day the GCR and GWSR will collaborate so that we can enjoy them double-heading a train......
Phwoarrrrr now you're talking my language
shall be there on Saturday for the all night running session :)
I'm at Lamport this weekend
Awesome video
Thanks bud 😊
Love the Growlers Some Good Thrash That
Hellfire T.V 😂
@@PurpleandCoRailwayAdventuresFor sure mate
Im pretty sure this 37 is numbered as D6700 but isnt the first 37 built but it was an early one im sure. But great video as always purps!
Edit: Yet i could be wrong.
D6700 entered traffic in December 1960 and was indeed the first one built .
I'm not sure if your right or wrong
@@PurpleandCoRailwayAdventures After a wikipedia search im wrong!
I think you are correct, Im pretty sure D6700 did not have yellow ends. D6714 certainly didnt have them.
Ah ok
The Mother thanks, all transport is classed as feminine.
False statement! although I'd usually agree with you. It's down to personal preference 😂 thanks
