Thank you so much for your videos its so reassuring listening to other health anxiety suffers. I myself have been dealing with health anxiety for as long as I can remember. My recent fixation has been that I have heart disease, as I recently checked my blood pressure and it came up high, that I've now frightened myself from checking it again. Some days can be tortuous, but its always encouraging to hear how far you have come with your journey ♡♡

Thank you for another great video 👏 it’s really crazy what our minds can do. I’ve definitely been at the point where it’s not even ‘what if’ it’s ‘I have’. We really convince ourselves that we have all the symptoms, and sometimes they really are all there but perhaps caused by the anxiety (as you said). Look forward to the next video ❤️

Now after 2 years I know I don’t have als but it was one of the worst times of my life because my mind started playing trick on me and making me have all types of symptoms due to high anxiety, i spent hours on the internet looking for answers and things got worst. I’m so happy I have overcome this dark period of my life.

@@ariannasignoretti5383 I’m also going through this. I started off with tendinitis in my Knees’s, elbow, wrist, and almost every finger. I was convinced I had Rheumatoid Arthritis after googling it, I started getting better though, but my back and neck started to ache. Back down the rabbit hole… A few days later I started doing these full body relaxation guided meditations. I also started exercising after a couple years of inactivity(couch potato). Then tremors started in my hands, then developed in my shoulders(mostly left shoulder), and oddly just my left leg/foot. I also get the occasional muscle twitch in my right bicep, and I wasn’t sure if the other tremors were actually muscles twitching. This has led me down the ALS rabbit hole, that has stressed me out even more. Though today when I found this video it’s brought on a lot of relief, like hey I’m not the only one. So now I’m fairly certain it was a combination of my situational anxiety and the stress. I often tense my muscles when I’m stressed, this puts a lot of pressure on the spine. That and I thought my anxiety was very mild, perhaps it’s not as mild as I thought, I’m 25 so it may be the onset of general anxiety, or this is a one off case where I kept looking at web-MD like pages and worried myself into a frenzy as well as my mother. I have an appointment with a chiropractor in case I pinched a nerve in my neck when I was trying to relieve the neck pain. Maybe it will just be a placebo effect or maybe the chiro fixes it idk but for $100 I think it’s worth it. I shall see. I hope we both get better soon, just know I’m out here on this blue dot just as worried. -Taylor.

I feel lost and see no purpose .
What exams have you done so far? Are you thinking is this all anxiety? How bad are your tremors? Can you do things like before?

    • @JohnDoe69986
      @JohnDoe69986 Год назад +3

@@ariannasignoretti5383 The vertigo and back/neck pain could be caused by either a pinched nerve or the stress. I know the stress had me freaking out over the RA to the point I was dizzy and nauseous, that went away as my knees eventually got better and I could walk(at the time I was terrified of living in pain), I had a burning sensation in all my fingers. I used a rather powerful massager one day and it relieved a lot of the tension in my muscles and I immediately started getting better. Though a massager can aggravate a pinched nerve so be careful with that I only used it for the tendinitis. But before that when I was still in a lot of pain I watched that movie father Stu with my grandmother. Out of curiosity I looked ALS up, the movie is about a guy with ALS, and I saw a picture of the areas affected, and it matched all my pain areas. I felt like I was having a panic attack and had to walk away couldn’t read the web page any further, but if I had I’d have known that those weren’t pain areas but areas you get progressively weaker. So I sort of fooled myself into thinking I had it then, but my tendinitis started healing and the fear went away. Until I started having these tremors a month or so later. First in my shoulders and then my leg, now I’m noticing every little muscle spasm/twitch, and my mind is probably creating more, so I’m pretty sure it’s just my anxiety. I haven’t seen a doctor yet, my appointment is on Sept 14th, quite a while for someone as stressed as me. The weakness your feeling could be a lack of sleep from all the worry or the tremors themselves using up energy, also when I’m stressed I don’t eat as much which causes low energy. The last couple days I’ve been eating a lot of salad and I got some one a day vitamins. If you’re feeling numbness/tingling though that means it’s almost certainly not ALS, I don’t remember where I read that at but I know I did. A pinched nerve will cause numbness and tingling, and muscle weakness depending on which nerve. Also the nerve so long as they are not compressed for too long can recover it just takes some time. My tremor in my foot is like this low buzzing feeling, which is another reason to think I don’t have ALS, as I looked up ALS twitch and it’s like a whole muscle contraction that’s noticeable from the outside. Also my tremors seem to go away when I do these relaxation meditations. My tremors though are pretty mild, but when I think about them they get more intense. Also after I go on walks my legs seem to vibrate more when I lay down. The tremors are mild enough I can still do things and this video has made my hand tremors a lot better. Oh and you’re very welcome, I was frantic for awhile looking for any sort of answers. Though definitely get that EMG done, I can’t wait to get one because I know that’s like a for sure way to find out if I have something wrong or not.

I knew it was because I kept/keep progressing. All the little things that you think you’re imagining if it really is a real neuromuscular disease over time will get worse. Your window of normal starts to close & the disease declares itself. It takes so much testing & time, & everyone moves at different speeds.

I Have a awful health anxiety and OCD (male 28) and I'm im the bulbar Als rabbit hole .. I read about it and after a week I have started to slurre many words, No one have heard it when they speak to me, but! I have it recorded when I do slurre, so I really are slurring my words. I also started stuttering.
After the first slurre I got so hyperaware of my speech. I have never had any problems with my speech, my speech is my biggest gift in my life so when something is off with it, I know for sure something is really wrong. During this time, I also remember my tongue feeling fatigue. I do not slurre all the time it's coming and going.
I’ve also developed in the last 2-3 days a scalloped tounge and burning sensation on my tounge (never had this before), fasiculations all over my body, mostly on my left buttcheek, it also feels like I have lost the coordination of my tounge and my tounge is always touching my teeth while I’m speaking, I never had braces and I have straight teeth. And today I have bit my tounge like 15 times meanwhile I'm speaking ..

So to my question, is this the bulbar onset of ALS? Because how can it be possible for me to slurre my words for 17 days with just hyperawareness and health anxiety, it should not be possible right?

I went through all the referrals and checks including having one removed. The Surgeon said to me he went through the same thing once - he said 'some people are just lumpy'. Even having a hematologist give me the all-clear I still didn't believe I was safe for ages! I'm 30 about to turn 31.
about 2 months ago I started having issues.
My sister pointed out one of my legs was much smaller than the other, I looked down and sure it is. It's the leg I had multiple sciatic flares in because of a herniated disc (that was diagnosed by a MRI about 2 years ago.
I'm also an alcoholic with alcoholic fatty liver disease, one night im drinking beer and out of nowhere I broke out into full body itching and a huge health scare about whether I might have cirrhosis started I was really scared.
I start getting sober the itchiness proceeds for 2 weeks but what I notice is that about 4-5 days into this my smaller leg started spasming / rippling / twitching. Another symptom I have is that my upper arms are 'stiff' and feel clumsy, they get very easily fatigued too, the same can be said for any group of muscles now especially my right leg.
I went to the doctors today and more or less wasted my time, had a strength exam and he said nothing here is indicative of ALS or motor neurons and basically left it at that. Never referred me for a neurologist or anything and I have been left absolutely terrified.
    I'm so f*cking scared :(

I'm also on a similar situation rn of me having my 2nd health anxiety attack within a month (and its driving me nuts!)
So the run down is like this, a few days ago, i noticed that i can't say a phrase i used to say a bit properly but since its a fast phased word, i kept on trying 'till i perfect it and then i just kept on adding up some other words even to the point of me saying words that i don't even say that much everyday (especially some words with heavy R's on it) and then i started to feel this weird sensation of me feeling my food going down even further 'till the lower chest/diaphragm-ish area but no struggle on swallowing nor chewing. I also had some muscles tensions around my cheekbone yesterday and i had 3 twitches there but it wasn't constant twitches like theres some gaps of minutes/hours on each twitches and 1 to my lower left foot. If i kept on thinking that i should say these long sentences or narratives without stuttering or mispronouncing a word, it would just keep on happening the more i focus on it. But as of now, i don't really experience constant twitches but rather occasionally. I just hope that what i'm feeling rn with these shtty symptoms are just my severe anxiety attack since i had 2 attacks within a month and its kinda new to me. Wishing myself a goodluck and for everyone else who are having a similar situatuon despite of us still having some different symptoms though ;) take care.

Last night I was reading aloud and I’m like dang where is all this saliva coming from. Now I’m convinced that I have als bulbar. I have a Neuro appt coming up and the last time I just saw my other Neuro dr she examined me and said no you do not have als. However she could not explain the muscle twitching I’m having. Now excessive saliva not drooling but I feel I just have to swallow more saliva. I’m scared about my upcoming appointment and I know an als diagnosis takes from 9 to 13 months so I’m like there goes my entire year meaning this will be on my mind every day as I wait it out. This isn't funny when you are going through something like this but I'll tell you I had to laugh when you said you were "collecting more evidence" that you had ALS!! Please don't think I'm mean because I've had my share of hypochondriac moments. And as a health care professional as I am it's even worse because you see so much. After the birth of my first child I developed carpal tunnel in my hands but I convinced myself I must have multiple sclerosis and even thought my vision was failing. I kept checking my eyesight with and without glasses over and over, driving myself crazy. When I progressed to thinking I must have a brain tumor my doctor said, "Okay, I'll give you a CT scan of your head and we'll put this thing to bed once and for all." It was negative and I was finally able to stop catasrophizing about my health.

magnesium defiency is risk factor to ALS and anxiety depletes magnesium and the syntomps are twiches and slurred speech. Magnesium is need for the body to function correctly and you know what can happen is your body does not work correctly it can end in cancer, ALS, parkison any sort of weird issue, sudden death. Think very carefully when you eat a vegetable becasue is the only way to obtain magnesium.
