Everyone talks about Ritchson, with good reason, but after the first two seasons, can anybody envision anyone other than Maria Sten playing Neagley? She's perfect.
Why? Friends come and go. Why know them if you won't in 10 years or even 3. Family is forever. Friends are a waist of time. Rarely are they useful to your goals
Well written, well executed acting, well done on twists/ turns and plot twists. Interested in seeing what season 2 has...well worth watching if you haven't see this yet. Some of the best series have been coming out of Amazon, whoever is running that deserves a raise.
btw, enjoy Neagley's (Maria Sten) mannerisms...her body language is enjoyable to connect to. Also, I am glad they wrote in that Reacher estimating Neagley wrong (instead of being perfect, nice touch to the writing)

Just rewatched both TC Reacher films the other day they’re fine as long as you’re not fixated on him matching the character physically. Enjoyed the first series with AR and looking forward to the next.

He got in a lot of fights as a kid and later in the Army. That trains a high degree of situational awareness into a person. He also has an eidetic memory, hence the lack of need to take notes in the first movie and the question about the year on the quarter. Coupled with his high understanding of criminal psychology, particularlly of fleeing criminals, that comes in handy when he has to hunt someone down. It makes for an interesting character.
Read most of the Jack Reacher books. That's why I laughed when Tom Cruise attempted to play the role 😂. Books are always better than their movie version
Not always -- Jason Bourne. The movies (and Damon's portrayal) were way cool. The books were so cringey I barely made it through. (Agree w/ the Cruise/Reacher comparo, though as stand-alone I thought Cruise did okay.)

At 2:50 he turns his back toward the camera a bit and you can see duct tape on his back. Is that because he’s getting his clothes from a thrift shop, or does it have some significance that I missed?
During the knife fight with those two Venezuelans, one of them slashed Reacher in the back, and instead of getting a new thrift store/Salvation Army jacket, Reacher just duct-taped the rip shut
I think there have been enough batman and supermans. I think DC should just start new again cuz they messed up and they messed up bad. So Ritchson shoudn't agree even if there's an offer coming on his way
The Cruise versons of Reacher are ok if you never read a single Jack Reacher book. Once you have, you realize Tom is creating his own character. And it's NOT Jack No Middle Name Reacher.
Previously she would have had military issue hair cuts and he mostly would have addressed her face to face. He also wasn't expecting her to be in the room at the time and people are great at seeing or not seeing what they expect to see.
I got the impression that he did and sat down where he did for that reason. But playing the scene again, I can see how you could get another impression. Not really sure how to read that part of the scene anymore.
Only difference between this scene in the book vs the show is that Reacher and Neagley meet up in Los Angeles instead of Memphis. Neagley isn't even in "Killing Floor"
I haven't read any of the books. But i can tell you this Alan is so much more a Military man at 6'2" then Tom is at 5'7" im not sure Tom could have even been in the Military at his height.
Show people what happened when the flight deck caught on fire and how the hanger bay was flooded because of several planes blow up on the flight deck and how many lives were lost on that day and my commander was J W Austin

A great series but the audio on US stuff is really awful lately, you have music and songs overpowering actors who seem to mumble most of the time, subtitles are really crap too as they are too dumb to distinguish between background songs and the actors speech, I won't get into how a lot of it is filmed in the dark too.
