In college, Northeastern State University (I grew up just a couple miles from campus), she was in the university’s musical review series that showcased popular music, called the NSU River City Players. They do performances throughout the summer. I had seen her in a couple shows before she decided to do American Idol. The stage presence and intensity she has is just amazing. And her voice is just absolutely beautiful.
She's the only artist I want to watch again and again in concert. She's always amazing thank you for your reaction. Paradise city cma fest live performance.
Carrie Underwood my favorite Country singer and actually current female singer, I’ve seen her in concert 3 times and she sounds just like her records, watch her performance of Church Bells, live version! Damn just watch all her videos
@@kimking6036 Ghosts On The Stereo is fantastic because you can just imagine kicking back sipping JD and coke with the great country artists who have passed like she says in the song
A couple of other awesome live performances from Carrie are ‘Low’ on the Stephen Colbert show and her cover of GNR’s ‘Paradise City’ at CMA fest in 2013 I believe, that one is EPIC!!! Choctaw County Affair is a fan favorite that is widely regarded as one that should’ve been a single and wasn’t.
She could sing the phone book. @Carrie Underwood is absolutely amazing and always showing us something new she’s expanded into her musical talent. Stunning vocals always. @TaylorFamilyReactions Always love watching your reactions as well and when you get so caught up in the beauty and meaning of the song. You’re expressions are priceless. You can tell they are 100% genuine. Keep up the reactions. Love your channel as well. Blessings to you and yours and all that may see this. It’s about lifting each other up. Not knocking other’s down. ❣️❣️❣️#BeKindBeHumbleLoveBeyond❣️
This is my favorite live but a couple of other good ones are Low and Little Toy Guns. Spinning Bottles never fails to get me in tears but I don't see it recommended a lot. I think it's beautiful and it's really powerful because of how soft it is. Light instrumentation and her vocals. Chills.
Out of curiosity I looked up her harmonica playing skills and she decided to learn specifically for this song and when they questioned whether she could play she said “go get me one I’ll figure it out” 😮 The guy playing harmonica with her on it gave her a few tips and she figured it out from there which is incredible!
Whoever wrote this song, got the premise of it from a 60s song, by Porter Wagoner. It was called The Carroll County Accident. I would recommend it, as it was a big hit. Another one that comes to mind, is Country Bumpkin by Cal Smith. It was the Song of the Year in 1973. Garth Brooks was a big fan of the song. About a year before Cal Smith passed away, he presented his trophy for the song, to Garth, on a Nashville talk show.
I somehow missed this when it first came out. I’ve never heard this song and ❤️ it! Carrie was so Sassy! Fell in love with her from the very first audition in America Idol and have been a fan since… same with Kelly Clarkson!
That little Oklahoma girl understands small town/ county affairs.. we live it. Lol 😂 Choctaw is a native American tribe originally from Mississippi. Moved to okla indian territory before statehood on the trail of tears. Just some history
GOOD HEAVENS!!! 👏 Well, ya just can't go wrong, with Carrie!! Don't go deaf; we need your reactions!!! I don't know any live performances, but I can't wait 'til you get to "Two Black Cadillacs" (official video - the visual adds, so much).
I have seen this video before - Carrie is on fire!! 🔥🔥 I read that she likes to learn something to add to her performances while on the road. The harmonica was perfect! Thanks for checking this out!
I’ve had the great fortune to see her twice! AND, she’s just announced that she’s playing the Iowa State Fair. Guess where I’ll be that night. She is amazing live!
She can’t be blowing that harp the whole time, during the song she wouldn’t be able to get the breath to do both. Doesn’t matter, she’s an amazing performer and has been from way back on Idol.
Carrie’s from Oklahoma but Choctaw Co. Mississippi is the same place if you remember that Bobbie Gentry wrote and sung about in Ode to Billy Joe. Hmmm. 🤔 And I’m a lifetime Mississippi girl! ♥️
I also had Nitty Gritty Dirt Band pop into my head last night so I listened to them because I couldn't remember their music. A LOT of singers performed with them...a whole lot. Their "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," live, reminded me of a smaller, country version of 'We Are the World," our, I think, suckier answer to "Do They Know It's Christmas Time at All." Song, all performers on both were good. People would see what I mean. Johnny Cash, June, I think in a group, Mother Maybelle, too, I think, Rosanne Cash, Ricky Scaggs (the other singer from "Go Rest High on that Mountain"), Michael Martin Murphey ("Wildfire"), Earl Scruggs & his brother or son, Randy (?), Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart (I only know his 2 songs with Travis Tritt, "The Whiskey Ain't Working Anymore" & "This One's Gonna Hurt You for a Long Time"), Roy Acuff, Bruce Hornsby (who'd have known that!), Levon Helm, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chet Atkins, ruclips.net/video/7bRJLkNqNXI/видео.html Lots more but don't recognize the names. Fiddles, mandolins, slide guitars... They also had "Fishin' in the Dark," ruclips.net/video/Yh3ml8gzrd4/видео.html "Make A Little Magic" with Nicolette Larson ("It's Gonna Take A Lot of Love"), ruclips.net/video/CuX2OclwGug/видео.html "One Step Over the Line," ruclips.net/video/Gip4SQ99zoc/видео.html "Bless the Broken Road," ruclips.net/video/nBH9YuwZvdY/видео.html Rascally Flats recorded it, too. Maybe you did that but this was 1st, I think, and live. "I Fought the Law" cover (?) live... ruclips.net/video/8X-G6HewuT4/видео.html & "Mr. Bojangles," cover but live. ruclips.net/video/4cR7aSB5ikc/видео.html They variously sang with Alison Krauss, John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, Maybelle Carter, Anita & Helen Carter, (June's sisters), Jackson Browne, John Prine, Shania Twain and Willie...many more than once. "Will the Circle..." is known as the song that saved traditional country music. Touch of Bluegrass, guess it morphed into Folk Rock and Neil Young, Joan Baez & Linda were influenced by them. The article link about the history of the song is www.wideopencountry.com/will-the-circle-be-unbroken-nitty-gritty/amp/. Anyway, sorry for my usual novel!
Have you ever done any Diamond Rio? Sorry, I didn't look! "Meet in the Middle" is good. "One More Day," though seems like you might have done that. "I Believe." Those I recall.
A new band you should check out is The Band Perry, they are siblings, 2 brothers and their sister. Better Dig Two and If I Die Young are a couple of their really good songs 😁
I've heard that. He was "in the club" so to speak, so knew the plan. Still, he wasn't hateful or derogatory like NPR is today. I miss the Harvey's and even Andy Rooney (? Sounds funny).
I'm surprised that you haven't watched Carrie Underwood ft Ludacris in the video 'The Champion'. It is one heck of an motivational video but I'm sure you won't be able to imagine the song. Hope you like it. ruclips.net/video/HgknAaKNaMM/видео.html Another one that you should be listening to, which shows a complete direction in her songs, Carrie sings 'Temporary Home'. ruclips.net/video/LraOiHUltak/видео.html It has made other reactors cry. I wonder what your reaction will be. Thanks from Canada

She's from Chocota Oklahoma
In Choctaw County

Carrie is really stepping up her game these days! She’s gotten up there now with Tina Turner
Let's hope she doesn't decide on Tina's 80s hairdo! Ha ha.

Actually, it isn't. Carrie said it is complete fiction. That is just how good Carrie is as a singer.
“Church Bells” where she is absolutely amazing. Different video. LIVE. She plays the bongo drums. Look for it. She is just AWESOME!

yes, you are right. Fierce is the perfect description of her voice and talent.
I listen to the Carrie station on SMX radio so I've heard this song good bit, but I didn't know she was playing the harmonica. Love, love, love it!!

Craig, you can play the harmonica, you just need to learn how. Great reaction. Fun song.
You need to react to Don't close your eyes by Keith Whitley. It's so good.
