um at 2:51 it looks like the car is slowing to a stop as the plane flies over head but when it cuts back to him driving, he's still going full speed. is it just me or did they not actually drive head on and have the plane pull up just in time?
@tcottareltech I thought on topgear they did both! the Bugatti did race the Eurofighter but the Reventon raced a Tornado fighter jet! I could be wrong i just remember them racing both cars!

the edge 540 has 340bhp. planes deliver their power much more effieciently at all speeds, and aren't subject to tire friction, among other advantages. for example, the T-34C i fly for the navy has a turboprop NATOPS limited to 425 hp and 1013lbft of torque, but has a never exceed speed of 280 knots (322 mph). compare that to a bugatti veryron with over a thousand horspower. how about making sure you know what you're talking about before commenting.
This is awesome, I don't care if the car isn't as fast as a veyron and the plane isn't a fighter jet. To me a canary yellow Porche vs. a Red Bull Aerobatics plane is way cooler any and every day! PS I love Top Gear..
Of course the whole video was put together with re-take after re-take. Nobody really thinks this was an actual race do they? There aren't enough cameras in Arizona to capture all those angles. But an interesting premise.
