Jesus, I don’t know why I hadn’t listened to this before I did. Since, I adored One Way or Another and Atomic. But, tbh I’m glad I got to listen to it when I did. WHAT A BANGER!!

This is unique because it is the 1988 Shep Pettibone remix combined with the 1978 original Blondie remix. PLUS, Clem Burke's drum track has been omitted and replaced with this computer generated track. How interesting! Must have been very hard work to put this together...

Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
    Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
Once I had a love and it was divine
Soon found out I was losing my mind
It seemed like the real thing but I was so blind
    Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
    In between
What I find is pleasing and I'm feeling fine
Love is so confusing, there's no peace of mind
If I fear I'm losing you it's just no good
    You teasing like you do
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
    Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
    Lost inside
Adorable illusion and I cannot hide
I'm the one you're using, please don't push me aside
We coulda made it cruising, yeah
La, da, da, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, da, da, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, da, da, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Yeah, riding high on love's true bluish light
    Ooh, oh, ooh, oh
    Ooh, oh, ooh, oh
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out to be a pain in the ass
Seemed like the real thing only to find
    Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
    Ooh, oh, ooh, oh
    Ooh, oh, ooh, oh

Haven't heard the actual "Disco Single" instrumental 12" version of this yet (with Deborah Harry's picture complete on the label) that Chrysalis issued in 1979 when disco singles of that size were in style.

This 1988 remis is not bad, but i prefer the original 1978 one(flip side of the 12 inch), because the electronic string-effects are unnesessary!
