This was awesome!! ALISON WEIR IS MY MOST FAVORITE AND TRUSTED HISTORIAN EVER!! ALSO, I TOO WAS INTRODUCED TO MY LOVE FOR TUDOR HISTORY AND MORE BECAUSE OF THE VERY FIRST BOOK I READ ON THIS THEME..THE SIX WIVES OF HENRY THE 8TH! I BELIEVE THIS BOOK HAS OPENED SO MANY EYES AND MINDS TO THIS TIME IN HISTORY. ONE OF MY BIGGEST DREAMS IS TO GO ON A ALISON WEIR HISTORIC TOUR. I READ ABOUT THIS A WHILE AGO AND STARTED CRYING..IM IN THE U.S. and my husband died and we have two young boys and I am 35 years old and am so scared I will never be able to touch or stand where these amazing people lived their lives. Off topic, sorry, but I just love this podcast and ALISON WEIR so much and trust only her with HISTORIC information.

Kristine... first off, I'm so glad you liked the episode. She's great, isn't she? I'm so sorry your husband died, and that you're dealing with life on your own. I can't imagine the pain, and the stress of having to handle all of that alone. As far as never getting to England ... you still have time. Right now your phase of life is taking care of your kids, and being their stability. But that phase won't last forever, and if you really want to do it, you'll find a way. Maybe it means putting a few dollars a week away now so that in five years you have enough for a flight. There's always a way to do the things we want to do. The trick is having patience, and doing the things required of us to make it happen :) I'm thinking about you and your kiddos, and I'm so, so sorry that you're dealing with all of that - it sounds horrific. And I'm honored that I get to be part of your life through the podcast. Thank you. Much love and big hugs to you and your kids.

Alison Weir's books always pop up in my search for Tudor books. 📚👑 I would really love to check her books out!
Such an interesting video on Queen Jane Seymour. Especially about the theories on her death and her rise to queenship. Jane is a rather obscure player in the Tudor saga. There's so much of her personality that appears to be lost to history and I love hearing more about her.
I think she did indeed have quiet strength about her. And, seemed very kind and gentle. I do agree she had the great potential to be this incredible matriarch. I think in bringing later Queen Mary I back to court was an attempt to mend the relationship between King Henry and his daughter. I often wonder how things might have been different had she lived. How that would have impacted the lives of Mary and Elizabeth.
It was so groovy to hear of the positivity of meditational hypnosis! I myself did a type of meditation hypnosis during my laboring before I gave birth to my daughter, Iris. My husband, mother and grandmother who accompanied me into my birthing room were so surprised at just how calm I was. Naturally, I am a very anxious and often high energy individual. But I was like Buddha on the mountain top during my pregnancy and my labor and birth. I've never known greater peace in my life. And, I attribute the positive experience to meditation and perhaps great pregnancy hormones. 🤰🏼✨️🧘🏼‍♀️✨️
I was raised Catholic and even attended a Catholic school as a child. I am non practicing in any faith or denomination but I still pray for help from Saints. Mainly, Saint Francis of Assisi for my work with animals, the Virgin Mary and Saint Anthony as I often misplace things. And, I did pray to the Virgin for a safe delivery. I think there's still a little Catholic in me. 🙏
As always truly fantastic and educational video!!! ❤❤❤
