Pretty good cover though I prefer M&G with Lemmy and Kelly on vocals but where I used to work we had a signed photo of Brian Setzer on my opposite wall.
Johnny Kidd and the Pirates originally recorded and performed this song in 1959. considering the guitars and amps that were available at that time and to create this heavy of a song for that period in Rock & Roll is very impressive. But too even think that this version is better or closer to the original is a joke this version is absolutely trying to duplicate or copy the version by Motorhead and Girlschool that was basically trying to take that original version of the song and ENERGIZE it to a harder and heavier level and that quite simply made that version better then then either version as far as I am concerned.
I dont know.... i like both but this version is phenomenal. Great musicainship. Vocals and guitars are amazing! Still love the Motorhead version though.
ist von matchbox und johnny kidd and the pirates einfach besser.die immer wmit ihren dämlichen stray cats sound.sollen die lieder so spielen wie sie waren, nur so sind sie gut.
Johnny Kidd would have appreciated this......
Stray cats are just legendary end of. Go stray cats.
This album is their best ...
For real, very underrated
Brian and the boys staying really close to the original with this cover.
J'aime bien cette version.👍
Sounds so good! I remember when I saw Stray Cats in Helsinki Finland 1989. It was great gig. Brian had a neon green suit and boots.
Old pirates tune at its best - the best version!

The Von Trapp family singers should have covered this.

Motorhead and Girlschool do a version and it blows this out of the water. Although this version is damn good.

I love 'em all. The Pirates, Motorhead and Stray Cats versions. My favourite is the Stray Cats though.
Not a (eye) patch on the original

Love it but it's not as cool as the Motorhead version!
I'd like the Motorhead version better without Girlschool
Like it better WITH Girlschool

Stray Cats version is better : better guitars and better vocals with Brian Setzer :) !
