Hi Kelly, just wanted to say I found your video so easy to understand in comparison to some of the other very academic videos on 5 P's available on RUclips. Would love to see more as you make it easy to learn and it is not long either. Great job!
Hi Kelly, I am a MSc Forensic Psychology student and I found this video extremely helpful - it has definitely positively impacted my understanding about formulation. Thank you!
Hi Kelly - am studying CBT going through different formulations and this was really helpful and I like your explanation of it - takes the "what am I doing" out of it a bit!
This is nice to know. I just wish you'd get more into the writing portion. I'm doing these for undergrad and I find them tedious and draining because I'm not sure how to write them. Thanks for the video.
Hi Kelly, I really like your channel. I have a question about Precipitating factors. If a patient first experienced mental health issues 10 years ago, but then had a period of good mental health and is now seeking treatment following current issues. Would the precipitating factors refer to what triggered their most recent poor mental health period, or their previous? She has the same presenting issues as last time and these are likely a result of adverse childhood experiences. Or would I discuss both?
Hello, great question precipitating would be what triggered the most recent incident, everything else from the past would be in predisposing. I hope that helps. Kelly
Hello, it can be done in one session with some practice but it may take longer in the beginning of your career but remember it’s a live document so should be updated and amended throughout. Kelly
Hi Kelly, I am a MSc clinical psy student and this helped me become more confident in writing up a formulation. Thanks.

Hi Kelly. Thanks for this video. May I ask how long it takes to form a formulation? Does it take a few sessions?
