Mate, I don't know if you've seen this but a channel called "James Hargreaves" did a proper vid about Tom and Vicki's story.. There was sooo much left out.. Not only that, just yesterday he got an interview with Tom.. And he speaks on all this. Its really not as simple as it was put out there.. They apparently offered him a contract when he got yeeted. (with extra money to not mention the band again) which is kinda weird.. Its over half his life ffs! B4 the fight with d missus when they travelled the 3 boys were in the same hotel while Tom was separate by himself.. I know he was going through a breakdown so probly wasn't easy to deal with but putting him by himself is even worse. You should check it out man. 👍

My issue is Kasabian should have ended the moment they decided to pull the plug on Tom. That’s his band as well! SLP should have been Serge route forward, because it’s a good album. Kasabian is not Kasabian without Tom. And I saw them at Knebworth. Good but not the same energy without Tom. The energy is bigger with Tom and Serge together.
@@ronostingray9449 Oh I wasn't saying Tom was innocent at all man, I was speaking about the video beforehand where it was explained what had happened..it just left me thinking "wait, they're married now, him and Vicki seem happy.." I'd feel let down I think if my day one's didn't at least hear me out. But then again.. We just don't know we weren't there. And yeah man, Tom seemed to still have a wee bit of a problem accepting blame in parts? And any sort of narrative James would go with to put the blame on the reporters.. Tom would jump on it.. I have been to Kasabian concerts prior to 48:13 and what we saw in pictures in magazines etc revealed to be the truth : Tom has always been the spirit of Kasabian, what I loved most about the band but he was a destructive drunk and the shows were not good, the man could barely stand. Serge on the contrary is 'clear', wrote most songs but is an uncool vampire with a strange musical style, stealing the show and always trying to be the center of attention. To me he never really helped Tom in his spiralling downwards . Kasabian should have been dissolved in 2020.

Tom is the man who brought this band to where they are and because of him this "genius" could write any crap and fans would buy it. "Nothing has changed" and "I never wanted to be the frontman" - two of the funniest things to me in this interview. Tom gave this band everything he had and now they are devaluing his importance just like Karloff's involvement in the first album. They're not a band now, just a name that brings in money and takes them to festivals. Now I can see why Tom drank more looking at the way he has been treated in the band the last 10 years. I'm even glad Tom is no longer with them. Good luck to Tom and his family.
What strikes me most is nothing to do with Kasabian, it's how far the NME has fallen from its glory days. It's unbelievable really, like Smash Hits but dumbed down.
They can support Liam, but they can't support Tom. Good two-faced people. Tom should have offered to pay them for Wembley, maybe then he wouldn't have been fired. They sacrificed they mate to the public so they wouldn't be touched. Made Tom's private life public. Allowed everyone to write whatever they wanted about him and spread rumours. They're just cowardly, selfish people. Tom suffered from anxiety and depression for many years and like many of us tried to cope with it with alcohol. He tried to hold on because he loved his job and people he worked with so much, as this band was his whole life. Why they should help him, he's just an alcoholic, it's all just his problem? - because when someone in the band suffers you forget about the band. Golden rule for good band. Maybe if his wife can support him and his colleagues can't, the problem isn't a ‘heartbroken event’? You all need to see the difference between being against the problem and being against the person. It was never about his work. If they had any integrity they would change the name and I would never think of them again. But I guess that's too much money. I was a fan for years but now Kasabian are dead to me and I'm not a fan of SLP. It's a shame that Tom has turned down so many good offers since the beginning of his career because his band is more important to him. He should have walked away from those people sooner. But now he knows who his real friends are. Long live for Tom. Can't wait to see his gig again.
