Space Camp Lets You Become An Astronaut Without Leaving The Planet | Mach | NBC News
I went to the Advanced Space Academy portion of the camp and I can easily say it was the best week of my life. It completely changed my view of STEM science and renewed my drive to become an astrophysicist. I even made some life long friends. I'll never forget this camp!
Joy Flowers can teens got here tooo?! And where can you sign up
@@allegravercesi Advanced Space Academy is for teenagers aged 15-18
A 2020 ticket is going to cost 1300 dollars plus travel expenses\
@@allegravercesi it's built for teens, there are three different programs for three different sets of ages. For the signing up part I don't know. Search Space Camp Alabama Sign Up, something will probably show up.
I really want to go someday.
Alabama needs more credit for having this stuff
Yeah, Alabama is mostly known for having the lowest education quality in the U.S. and is also known of course for incest.
Yea but they need to make a cheaper one
among other _things._
We're not just about deep-fried things and Incest.
I 've been there. Recommended to all of you. Great experience!!!
How u get there ??
Panos Germanis The girl on the video talks about the Multi Access Trainer where they spin you around upside down, etc. I realize this device isn’t supposed to make you dizzy or queasy but why would they take students there “right after lunch” ??
I really want to go to space camp but i live in a country which has less opportunity to be an astronaut 😢
@xd Hyper same
xd Hyper feel you mate. From Australia too.
I frickin live in India where the economy is so bad that my parents can't even send me to Space Camp
Same !
I'm half New Zealand and British so my chances lie somewhere in the middle.
Most people don’t even realize how big Huntsville is... 194,000 and just for perspective, Knoxville Tn has 188,000
So a Real Space experience!
This just brings back so many happy memories of space camp.
i went last month and it was literally the best week of my life! not only was it sooo interesting, but everything be was so nice
I'm actually going their (hopefully if covid-19 rates drastically drop) this summer with a scholarship from my school. I am so happy, I've been wanting to do this since I was little! Guess my hard work paid off😁
If in 2021 is safe I’m going
omg you’re going to absolutely love it! I go every year and I always love everything every time. Depending on your age it’s gonna be a different experience for each age bracket but whatever bracket you’re in, you’re gonna never want to leave!
Where can I apply? Also, do you need any prior knowledge on space related topics? What is needed to be accepted?
I’m gonna be a counselor there
i LOVE space camp
Went to space camp academy. these group of girls were extremely rude but i was team callisto!! camp was awesome as well as my dormates. next year hoping to come back. food buffet is 👌👌
Where can I apply? Also, do you need any prior knowledge on space related topics? What is needed to be accepted?
I’m going here on the 8 of March
I just went here for Space Camp. I can easily say one of the best weeks of my life, I loved all the friends I made and the crew trainer was nice. I keep planning to go to space academy and then advanced space academy
And you can keep on going as an adult too :D
Sadly, Adult Advanced Academy is only once a year
Going in August!
Where can I apply? Also, do you need any prior knowledge on space related topics? What is needed to be accepted?
For the mission I was eecom just got back from 3 day trip to space camp with my school and I want to go back
I could literally live there forever
And the moon shot was really cool
Where can I apply? Also, do you need any prior knowledge on space related topics? What is needed to be accepted?

I am japanese and i want to go here. I can speak English but not as native speakers. I'm worried if i can't understand the instruction.
Can anybody give me an advice?😣
Sana H maybe you should study more but don’t give up :)
You should just go. Space camp has a lot of attendees from all over the world.
If the cost isn't a problem, go for it!
I seriously doubt that a trainer with the NASA Astronaut Corps would say “Stop it, stop it, stop it” to one of the candidates as shown at 3:32
How to you slip on water when there's no gravity?
I wanna leave the planet and go to the moon and be in zero gravity, when I grow up
now, imagine that. I live in a country where there is no summer camp, space camp, hiking, gym class, educational field trip, model union, even clubs in school. even the libraries are so old that none book has ever entered.
Which country??
Same
When other space camps are going to conduct. reply plss.
I always wanted to go here as a kid now I can’t 😢
I went to a space camp as a kid but it was nothing like this. It rained half the time, we slept in tents, looked at some space rocks, etc 😂
I've paid more than I should to get to Space Camp (because I'm going to travel with some others in my school in a bus they paid for). Looking forward for it, I guess!
Do you need any prior knowledge on space related topics? What is needed to be accepted?
Anybody notice that this chick's name badge is upside down in the video. How could they not see that being on TV
The price of camp???plz
Patra Askar for the advanced space camp, it’s $1199 (ages 15-18)
at my school is $500
It varies depending on the age group you are in.
Where can I sing up?
They have a website
Ma'am, your nametag is upside down. 1:22
I want to be a astronaut 👩🚀
Get in your age groups and get ready fot some fun😁
I wanna grow weed on the moon:) CHEERS!!!
do they do the MAT for kids ?
Yes, but you have to be a certain height limit, most likely if your in 5th grade your good to go
i wish i could go, too exspensive tho :/
Where’s this space camp because I’m planning to become a person to go to mars
Huntsville, Alabama.
Luis Bracamontes Huntsville Alabama USA. You'll enjoy it :)
Will Campbell I’m just a 13 year old kid I might be there one day tho
Luis Bracamontes ya well talk to your parents. You're old enough to go but i think at 14 or 15 then you go to a more involved one. So id wait. If it comes down to it then you can go as an adult too lol so never give up.
I’m rooting for you man
Do you get a jump suit
Yes, but you will have to purchase it.
It's an extra fee, but there are cheaper options like backpacks and flight jackets.
So when you go to Space Camp you can be with adult groups I thought you’ll be the only adult there around a bunch of kids.
Did you know the girl was wearing her wings upside down.... so unprofessional XD
That just means she hasn't graduated Space Camp yet, it's flipped during the graduation ceremony.
Can Indians register to this space camp??
Of course!
How old do you have to be
All these millions could have been invested on building machinery to produce drinking water from sea water.
Or to 3D print affordable housing for the masses to solve the high cost of the housing market.
Or to manufacture affordable solar panels to solve the high cost of energy.
So many uses for our wasted tax money dollars!!!!!
Don’t go it sucks
Why?
Was it because you never got there.
