Been an aweful long time since I played Red Dead Redemption online, I have never seen those reindeer however there are special mounts you can get via earning cash and even secret mounts like the unicorn and the 4 horses of the apocalypse in that game. You will only get those by finding rare spawns or doing something I don't remember. But if you see those mounts that wouldn't be a cheat, also I played the xbox 360 version of the game which could have different stuff, but the special mounts I always thought were real cool. BTW I honostly can't stand cheaters makes my blood boil to the point where i just stopped playing any online games over 2 decades ago. Edit, Ok I see that was a modded mount. I also see this is RDR2 Online now :P damn I'm losing my mind.
Rockstar cant sell a flying horse with missile launchers. RDR2 does not make money compared to GTA and, that's all that matters sadly. There are some amazing RP servers for rdr2 check out WildWestRP or virtiigo gaming and Mr Moon on YT. They have done some very cool things with RDR2.
RDO side is FULL of cheaters. It was bad year or so ago, but now it is impossible to play. Also if you see some random chest someone, do not pick it up. It will get you permantly banned. Other than this, your IP is not safe (cheat menus show it), people have got doxed and DDoS attacked. Then not sure how, but in GTA Online cheaters even managed to send in malware to users. I don't think it has yet happened in RDO, but please be safe. Reporting cheaters does nothing, don't bother. Instead look into getting into RedM. It is day and night what RDO is and lastly stay the hell away from any Rockstar Games Online titles.
Devs of these triple A games just don't do enough to prevent it. Look at Rust they could do more to prevent ppl from constantly cheating but in the end they see it as money, if they get banned they just buy another account, money for the Devs. It's sad but it is what it is. If you want to play without the cheaters best you can do is password lock your own server Not even sure you can do that in RDR but it would make it much better if you could, also having your own server would allow you to ban players that are cheating even if the game devs do not ban them.
The game was destroyed by "RockStar",.. Look" PvP Cat" stuff and you will se how they Act to a normal player when you report a Cheater. The Player gets ever a ban and the cheater Not! That´s why all almost have Cheats in Rdo2,.. Or Stopped to play this game about there is nothing to do. almost only the cheaters still online and the "New Players" Only streamers Cheaters and new players but after 3 month you got all in game when you play it. so Only the cheaters will come back an the New Players.
And Do NOT REPORT A Cheater! You Can Get the Ban! Only you! Rockstar will only ban the players the make the report about the can´t do anything about the cheaters in the game. so the Ban the Player who was reporting Look in PvP Cat stuff before you Report too much.

I hated that private lobbies never came to the game. I stopped playing a long time ago. Sad to see its never been addressed. Its not their money maker so it got no love.
there is a way to do this by adding a line to the startup.meta file. look it up
You can play in a private lobby, just that it’s not official but it’s easy to find how to.
I think this was one of the best games ever made but unplayable due to the cheats.

I completely agree with this video. It is actually not smart to play this because it isn't secure anymore. I have heard some real horror stories about the cheaters. Like identity fraud and shit.

Ive been turned into a flying saucer, teleported to various locations, had them at my camp with lions or panthers in tow, been blown up countless times doing a moonshine run, been put in a cage, had one at my camp which was a identical clone to me including his name, and a couple that tried to 'help' me by spawning in dead legendary animals. Finding a server without a cheater is near impossible

hey anarchy just wanna point out some mod menus will prevent the report from leaving the lobby and it will pop up on the modders screen that you tried to report them and some menus has auto crash turn on for when someone reports/vote kick a modder
I ended up using a mod file that loads me into a private lobby. I still get the online experience but without the cheaters. And you can play with friends as long as they have the same mod file. The nice thing about this, is it presents you with in-game interactions and missions you would normally miss out on in a full lobby ie. legendary animals, stranger missions

While back people were saying that you shouldn't even log in to GTAO or RDO without VPN. Big companies do make the worst stuff...
I started playing RP RedM because I couldn't play online. Cheats everywhere. Every single session. Rockstar just shat all over it's community here which is mad because of how popular and spectacular Red Dead is

I was under the impression that the online part of GTA5 was a cesspool and nothing really done because of the chance it might reduce the sharkcard cash farm, pretty sure it's not going to be any better in the 6th installment but they'll still rake in far too much money for doing nothing about the ones who ruin the game for others for the lols and small epeens

Yeah when I was playing the solo game I tried RDO and ran into too many cheaters and never went back.
i remember when this first came out and i got in a mexican standoff with some dude in a safemode/godmode glitch. i was able to blast him when he came out of safemode to shoot me but his group just destroyed everyone on the server. i never bothered to play online after that and instead put about 6k hours into modding dayz servers. love your vids dude keep them cheeto burritos on edge
I stick to console for this reason. Don't get me wrong, I like the freedom of a PC and the ability to run the game at higher settings. But when it comes to online gaming experience. I will stick to console unless a game is exclusively PC only. The lack of cheaters on online console gaming actually makes games much more fun without needing to worry. Also not to mention games released on consoles are alot more stable but OfCourse at the cost of performance and game quality. I would say the only times I run into cheaters while playing games would be crossplay games. But even then they are few and far between as most games that have crossplay actually try their best to pair you with other console players.
They both have their perks, with PC you can play games at higher settings and better quality and better freedom of the game itself including official or unofficial modding, which also means when you play with other PC gamers you are more likely to run into cheaters.
And with console you are stuck with limited graphical settings and performance control, but you are less likely to run into cheaters if any at all due to how games do not support 3rd party modifications on consoles and how people still have not found ways to bypass console security's.
TBH the only main reason I still play console is both the lack of online cheaters and with the newest generation of consoles you can actually play games at 60+fps at decent resolutions now. Couldn't do that last generation which was why I even got a PC in the first place. That and also there's a few games that are not on console that I like to play on my PC from time to time.

I would be tempted to start a class-action lawsuit against Rockstar Games for mishandling of internet security - i.e. your IP address... That being openly and freely available with no sort of protection is just absurd, especially from a AAA game developer. They can protect their shitty servers from DDoS, because they're in a secure commercial data center, but you, the little guy, good fuckin luck....
Goo job bringing more light on the rampant cheating plaguing so many games - including those owned and run by multi billion dollar companies.
Cheaters spoil the experience for paying customers and more needs to be done to remove them.
I appreciate what you do. I can't stand playing online because of all the trolls and cheaters. I haven't played RD2 online in years because of the people who got off messing with noobs. I could never enjoy the game. Even DayZ is ruined online for me. I have to play on a modded server that is PVE only. It's full of nice helpful people. I'm a noob. I'm not very good yet. I want to get good, but it's hard when people are asses. Continue what you do,
this game has been abandoned by the devs which lets cheat devs do what they want, all because rockstart couldnt farm the users for money with RD2 sharkcards. there was a way to glitch to get into solo online lobbies u can invite friends. modded RD2 RP i thought was the only way people played Rd2.
Literally got on to play with a friend like the end of year 2023 and the first 10 minutes already a cheater teleporting and killing everyone...
PC gaming I'm afraid... the cheaters move faster than the deterrent, it has always been that way. We need to see some major advancement in anti cheat technology!

See the issue with RDR and gta for that matter, isnt that the cheaters moved faster, the issue is that rockstar never even tried. The first and only time they have really even properly mentioned them being issue was when modders on gta started to corrupt and delete people's online saves with click of button and they promised security focused update, well its been soon year and that hasnt happened, in fact after patching out the corrupting and deleting hole in their security that modders exploited, they havent done damn thing about them. Cheaters dont have to move fast, when anti cheat isnt even thing. There is reason why other game cheaters mostly are limited to few far less "powerful" "abilties", its because the creators dont have time to create fancy new oppressive af features, because they are busy getting the very most basic stuffs to work, but with rdr and gta the creators have been free to focus on creating new features instead of getting the old ones to work, resulting in modders that can crash your game instantly because you went to try to report them
Read up about the new PC Monitors with AI powered visual cues to alert you to nearby players, they can also pinpoint audio cues to a speck.
Afterwards ask yourself what the state of online gaming will be in 5 years, 10 years.. the outlook is grim my friend.
@@legendaryjimbob7685 Actually they did patch the exploit and several other stuff, but it's too late and a lot of damage to their player base. They only do something if there is major damage, because rockstar loves that cash flow. After it's patch it's ditch again for most of the year for cheaters to mess around and find new shit to exploit, it doesn't help that Rockstar code got leaked. Rockstar Games can now only do so much seeing that the cheating game is so high now and it follows to other games.
So yeah Rockstar shitty little patches are worthless because in a week there will be another exploit or workaround.
Rockstar Killed this game, not Cheaters. The campaign is amazing and possibly one of the most detailed and amazing works of art that I’ve ever played. The online is a pile of 💩. There’s basically nothing to do. It has like 1/10 of the stuff to do as the campaign. Not to mention there’s like 10 missions total online and they are just the same
Ones with slightly different routes. Plus the level advantage is crazy. Once you get the hat and you take 2 headshots to kill, you legit can kill anyone under that level with them have almost no chance of killing you.
if you have to report cheaters, do not report in the game it crashes your game because they have "anti-report" hack going. Best way to report cheaters is through the Rockstar Social Club, and that is if they aren't spoofing their player ID with another cheat / hack.

It's weird that they are even still around. The game died so long ago, due to a lack of content and also the cheaters. Without the ability to start your own private instances, it was unplayable when you would just be randomly exploded out of nowhere. Or teleported to some other area of the map alongside every other player in the instance.
That was 2020 when my friends and I all abandoned it for good. They nerfed gold income, while still not actually adding anything into the game to spend gold on. In fact, nothing ever really came to the game, except some recent updates that apparently broke certain things that were never broken before.
rdr online is the classic red haired step-child of rockstar.. it didn't turn into the cashcow they wanted it to be, like gta online.. so they just ignore it, and leave it to die.. such a shame..
Imagine how amazing this game COULD be, if they just focused on producing a solid gaming experience, and not just profit-profit-profit..
I mean, everyone knew this was going to happen. Rockstar doesn't put much effort into anti-cheat. All the GTA online scenes are absolutely saturated by cheaters or "modders" as they call it.
Show me a game that hasn't been ruined by cheaters. Any game that is online is eventually ruined by cheaters.
I will say that I've played hundreds of hours on Fortnite and have not noticed cheating. I used to play H1Z1 and PubG, and both were plagued with cheaters. They ruined the game for me.
Rockstar would rather fight Remedy for using a R as their logo then go after cheaters and sue them like how fast they reacted to cheats in GTAV
the really sad part of online games now is just what you said about the cheating but as someone that started pc gaming in the late nineties and all the AC companies that came and went with very cool ideas and promises of no cheaters. just boggles my mind to think that it hasn't been figured out yet and has only gotten worse.
This is funny because this game is about 4 years behind gta online in the online cheaters epidemic. I once got a cheater so mad that he followed me across different gtao servers and after the 3rd one, I said yeah, I’ll just go and play Rust. See you there! He wasn’t happy!

After your last video on RDR2, I reinstalled the game. Played online one time and had this same experience. Nothing but cheaters. Uninstalled it immediately. It sucks because I used to really enjoy the game.

yeah tarkov has had its best wipe its ever had in the past 5 years but one of the worst cheater issues since battleye was added
loved the story mode on rd2. only played online twice! first time one guy just kept killing me and the 2 nd time someone kept spawning swarms of animals, bears, cougars, wolfs, alligators etc. was completely unplayable. wish it had the invite only session feature of GTA V, that way you could play in peace with friends
This game is one reason I wanted a PC with an up to date graphics card but when I was finally able to get one I looked into comments about this game saying cheaters just run amuck so I didn't get this game since one couldn't play it solo/offline. Maybe now I can try it with the offline mod. I just don't want to waste my money.
I tried getting back into GTA V recently and it's a cheaters cesspool anymore. It's always one dude flying around killing you repeatedly, or like these assholes, just trying to show off their garbage and follow you around like a lap dog. Oh, almost forgot about the ones that will randomly teleport you to your death.
Rockstar doesn't care about cheaters in their game. Hell, I'm surprised they don't make people pay to report cheaters.

DayZ isn't cheaters proof, sadly, you'll encounter cheaters where ever you'll go since it's online, even on games that doesn t even require to cheat since there are not even "competitive"... Cheater is the nowaday cancer of online gaming

Rockstar has shown no evidence they are able to run an online game very well. Like 2 years ago gtaV which, rockstar cares way more about, was disclosing details via netcode to other users. Like you could get other users ip addresses, default gateways, etc from them just playing the game online.
GTA was exactly the same. I stopped playing the online years ago because of it. RDR2 is the best game I have ever played, and I started with Pong as a young kid.
It is sad having all these cheaters destroying others fun for nothing… I never met a cheater in person, but would like to and ask him a lot of questions about his motivation.

other than that, the only other online game i played a while back was a ww2 flight sim on ps3 that has no cheats/mods at all..

1 of the best games that is still around today and was way too good for its time. I know it came out in 2018 but apparently took 8 years to make and no other game in its genre competes (we are excluding GTA as its not set around the 18/1900s.) But Rockstar honestly killed this game off. They said farewell to it in 2022/2023 and that was that.... Cheaters are now ruining this game completely and nothing will be done about it. I honestly hope Rockstar go a completely different direction with GTA 6 and have dedicated aswell as private servers because lets be honest... Regardless cheaters will exist in every game but with an admin like you they won't get far :) Love the videos keep it up :D
Rockstar abandoned it a long time ago and they don't focus on the PC market anyway so their anti-cheat is shit. Hopefully with the FiveM / RedM guys now onboard for their online services GTA 6's anti-cheat will be serviceable and frequently updated. Fingers crossed.

I tried to play the online portion near when they launched it and it was just horrible with how bad it was then. I couldn't imagine it now and it sucks because I really wanted the game to be good for online play too.

I played this game because of one of your video. I had fun but the cheating is rampant. I like to do story missions but after a while it gets old. And i also like to hunt random animals around. The graphics are really good and feels like the real thing.
Anarachy you should definitely try out some of the RP servers. People have to go through interviews so you don't have to worry about cheaters. Might be worth checking out (Even if you don't upload vids)
Interviews don't stop cheaters lol. Determined cheaters will do the interview just to troll.
The only reliable way to consistently keep the cheaters at bay would be for Rockstar to allow players to create their own community servers that is financed, administrated, and moderated by the players themselves.
That won't stop cheaters from trying to be themselves, as the punyz miserable, loser creeps they are, though - but it would deter some of them, and it would be a haven for the legitimate players who just want to play the game, like normal people, and have fun together with their friends and strangers, known and unknown, old and new, and having a laugh and a good time.

Ive played this game on xbox. It's absolutly ruined by other players, even if they aren't cheating. If only there was a solo lobby option like they implemented for gta online.
I am close to 300h on red dead 2 only in singleplayer. Played online once and was discouraged by the ridiculous prizes and grind economy. Not really surprising that its full of cheaters.

I play a RP server (first time ever doing something like that) and it's pretty controlled. In 3 months I haven't had one instance of anything like what you're experiencing. You need to get whitelisted and whatnot, which really seems to drive off folks just trying to join in and cause chaos.
yea it suck bad i think or should i say RDR2 would have been bigger then gta5 online if they had kept up with updating it and keeping the cheaters at bay. i love what your doing to rid the cheaters wish i was able to get a chance to do the same thing you are. i would take the offer in a heart beat. from the time i started playing games before there was computers in homes i hated cheating no matter if it was putting codes in to cheat before internet or cheating now days hell i don't even like to mod games. if you have to change everything about the game then that tells you that you didn't like it in the first place so why play and ruin it for every one else. keep up the good work.

The issue i had with the RDR2 fivem was figuring out wtf to do on most of the servers. They just release you into the wild with no direction at all. I stil dont know wtf im doing on htere@@AnarchyIHDI
This is one of my all time fav games as well. I don't even have it installed anymore. It's totally unplayable. The worst part is ROCKSTAR DOESN'T CARE. They are intentionally flushing one of the best games ever down the toilet.

Rockstar games have had notorious cheaters in their games since GTA4. They don't have much in anti-cheat detection, which is why there are so many private/modded servers.
I honestly have less than 100 hours in GTA5 and RDRO combined. I had a way better time in GTA4 online where there wasn't anything at stake
The crashing could also come from the settings I think it was something with Vulkan or visa versa

In all honesty, it’s no surprise. The game is dead because they couldn’t make as much money off of it as gta online. They’ve already announced that they don’t plan on doing anything with the game anymore, and since the players essentially cost them the money they wanted then you can just sum this up as their form of “punishment”.
Just gonna remind you and everyone else, the reason for this, is because rockstar couldnt be bothered to care about security issues or creating anticheats for their games. Both of their biggest games, GTA V and RDR 2, both online modes are totally screwed because of modders running rampant and destroying anyone that isnt using modmenus to protect themselves. Rockstar made billions from each game, but couldnt be bothered to spend any of that money to create even half way working anticheat for either of them. Thank rockstar for creating online game so good that modders are able to mess with files on "secure" data storage servers
There are two ways to make this game work without cheaters, there's a config "hack" which makes it a solo lobby, and you can also (because it's a P2P game) use that decades old software "peerblock" and get IP block lists for China, Brazil, Hungary, India, Italy, Romania, Russia, Taiwan and Turkey (this will cover 90% of cheaters),, as well as all known VPN services, I guess you could add Germany as well, but in my experience the Germans are masters of exploiting and finding loopholes in rules, not cheating.

I bought Red Dead the day that it came out and got a great deal. However my excitement to play the game was soon left in the horseshit as I learned that 99% of the game was griefing and more than likely cheating. I was on an Xbox so that's a lot less likely but one of my friends that's a coder has shown me that there are ways around it. It's a shame that the company doesn't respect their own game enough to get rid of cheaters. You can't even play the game. How the hell is that fun? I quit playing for about 6 months until they came out with passive. This corrected a large part of the problem for me. And I then played it pretty solidly for a year.
Man that video I saw about that new monitor with ai tech inside that can learn and draw boxes around your enemies has me worried. How the hell are they gonna be able to detect they. Video games are gonna go even more to shit

He's over representing the scope of the problem; You can also give yourself a private lobby in less than 30 seconds through resource manager. You don't have to play in public lobbies.
It seems like the popular thing to do these days is bash this game because players are butthurt that rockstar has put the game on the back burner, I do not have anywhere near as terrible experiences as the people making these vids seem to; and they all have one thing in common. They are going looking for these cheaters and instigating them on purpose; You will always find what you go looking for eventually lol..

I just reinstalled the game and the online crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME when I use wilderness camp I'd use for fast traveling and this bug has been reported for years. Whoever is responsible of the online should be out of a job. Making a masterpiece into an unplayable pile of dung is impressive though.

The fact that the steam page has a guide on how to avoid getting banned by cheaters.... sad... I loved this game till about 2 years ago.. couldn't even do a moonshine run without cheater fucking with me
Somebody figured out how to go into basically private lobbies by using a file that knocked the game version back one then makes it to where you only get people that have that file in there game, thats how me and my friends play the game now in 2024. havent seen any cheaters since.
Yeah you can download a mod that I've linked below, but I play online games for the online experience of meeting other players and PvP :(
Yeah same, I stopped playing over a year ago because of cheaters. Couldnt even enjoy a casual game by my self without someone spawning ing dynamite at my feet for no reason.

worst thing is Rock star does nothing about the reports, they dont care at all about that game.
Cheaters are a huge problem with online games these days. People just don't seem to care anymore. If there were no cheaters, the online experience for RDR2 would be wonderful (I'm not addressing the lack of additional content or continued support).
With that said, Rockstar can't be blamed for the cheaters. That's like blaming a gun for shooting someone and not the person who pulled the trigger.
I still play GTAO on console sometimes. It's actually not bad. Whenever there is a new update, the normal players come around and have a good time. The griefers are not really a big thing, except for a few 12 year olds.
My first experience with red dead online had a cheater, he spawned npc laying down everywhere so I shot one in the head and got so much xp, I have not been on since.

rockstar focuses SO MUCH on GTA that they let RDR online die in the hands of cheaters.
Play on a role playing server. You'd be surprised how awesome the game still is
I played online a few times and experienced the same kind of BS.. mainly unsupervised children or their mental equivalents. I never played any of the GTA series and I'll certainly not even bother with GTA6. It's too bad, they seem to spend a lot of time making special events and promoting them but I don't expect they'll get many to play on servers with that garbage going on so it seems like a wasted effort to create special events if you're not going to police out the cheaters. I'm always said that the common downfall in multiplayer games is OTHER PEOPLE. Having your own clan server is about the only thing that ever worked for that.
Bro the business model of a game company is that you develop the game. You sell it for say 40. Then you develop the cheats. You sell them for 100. You can ban the guy who buys cheats and he comes back and pays another 100 on another account. A game like RDO you pay once and forever they are your bitch. So baiting cheaters makes them more money. Subscriptions are the only way an online game can sustain itself and prevent cheater IF they are not greedy and are happy with only the income of the subs.
