The rate is OK but your fingers should be interlocked. It helps center your strength/leverage and it keeps your hands from slipping around when they inevitably start sweating from doing compressions for longer than a minute or two.
@@jiii6099 Truthfully any CPR is better than no CPR. In many cases, hands only CPR is the preferable method because the blood still has oxygen in it that can be circulated. I believe breaths are still encouraged in drownings and for children, but other than that, hands only CPR is the technique that is most suggested for laypeople to perform, especially if the victim is a stranger.

You pause for the breath? When I was taught 2 person CPR the breath went in in-between compressions and there was no pause in compressions.
