Thanks you lovely people, and keep on tinkering!
Not sure why you drilled a hole through the back panel when you had a pre-existing grommet close by that you could have used
It's good practice to use a grommet whenever you pass wires through metal as it stops them chaffing and shorting to ground
Tip, when you’ve drilled your hole, don’t check for sharp bits and shards with your fingers like you did 😂
They are close and thick from all the checking I do, but I agree, not a job for un seasoned fingers! 😂
good job
thanks
aziz yilmaz thank you
make it look effortless mate thanks.
+Phillip Ireland Comes from years of pain and suffering 😂
The Backoffice I hear ya.
I used those crappy blocks when I did mine, might go back and solder them now I have one of those cool usb solder irons :)
+Brian Jones That bit of solder will give you better piece of mind for sure 😂
The Backoffice it's deffo the best method, I fitted a tow bar and electrics at the same time and their playing up so will redo the lot, think the reason I didn't partly was my Citroen has numbered wires so wasn't too sure of what was what
Its annoying when tow bar stuff goes haywire, especially if its been pre-fitted into a second hand vehicle. I have seen some real horrors!
Do they work ok?
+Marcel Ooms Yeah pretty good, I was sceptical Because this unit only had two sensors, but if you appreciate the limitations (limited side view), they work pretty well. Definitely better than no sensors! 😁
Hmmm, I drive a giant Renault Grand Espace, and take some pride in reverse parking it without sensors. I'm so vain... :-) But really, these are worth considering!.
+Marcel Ooms Flat back vehicles are pretty easy to park. I love those minivan style vehicles. I have / had a c8, basically a van. A more recent vehicle I have acquired would be impossible to park owing to poor visibility. Swings and roundabouts 😂
