He's not a good communicator, and didn't know how to build that brotherly bond with his teammates (except Freiermuth and Gentry). All that is important for a QB and for his players to go through a brick wall for him. The QB holds the King position. That's why they're the highest paid, and if you lack those qualities, you won't make it in the NFL. If Kenny grows in these areas in 2 to 3 years, he'll be okay as a solid back-up, and maybe a bridge QB. If he lucks out and becomes a teams starter? I'll be happy for him.

The Steelers hadn't have much salary cap available during Big Ben's career. They were always batting to stay under the cap. When you're paying one QB the league minimum and the other is still on a rookie contract it allows the team a lot of $$$ for free agents.

If Mike Williams comes here and we draft another solid WR in the draft we are title contenders, I do not care what others have to say. Wilson won a championship with a great defense, he can do it again.

I think Omar is absolutely incredible; however, in fairness to KC, he had a $20MM+/yr QB that Omar has never been saddled with paying. That context matters...a LOT.
Omar just deals for a $15 mil QB and only pays them 1 mil. Omar is insane. KC has one year left before they have to blow it up.

I don’t think we should, save that cap space for next off season, don’t need to go over board, this off season is already 10x better then anything we have seen for the past decade, we will also possibly get more cap space depending on cam heyward and if he’s gonna play or retire since this is his last contract year, that’s potentially what 20 mil free’ed up?

That would put us over the top ! We could get that in the we could use our 2 3rds to get that Slot we need ! Then the 1st and 2nd we go Tackle , Center ! Then look to bring in Jamal Adams as a 3rd safety piece for our 3 safety package!

Only thing that scares me about Williams is the injury history. If we can reasonably get a good deal on him, grab him but, he always seems to get bit by the injury bug.

DK's video today said their is a 1 reason why we are doing all these great additions. They have NEVER had and extra $50 Million to play with and it could even get more. Early contract renegotiation, cut and the cap going up $30 Million. There are still passible renegotiation.

You have to understand Khan’s brilliance to really understand what happened with Pickett/Fields. Philly and Pittsburgh were the last two teams interested in Fields. So what does Khan do? Make Philly an offer they can’t refuse: Kenny for nothing. Philly’s backup QB is filled. That leaves us for Fields alone. We get Fields for less than nothing. Absolutely BRILLIANT
We wouldn't had gotten Wilson if it hadn't been an absolute steal and if Russ balls out this year, then he'll be looking to get paid next year. We need a pass rusher that can step up in case TJ gets injured.

I was PUMPED UP about Mike Williams, whom I had never heard of until now. I just looked up his injury history that showed from 2018-2022 on google. I was wondering why 2023 wasn't there, so I looked 2023 up solo, and he tore his ACL. 2018 was the year he went injury free. Now? This is a red flag and I'm a little skeptical now. We'll see how this plays out.

Not to knock Khan but i feel like praising him so much almost by default knocks Colbert. Colbert and Khan altho differnt both have high iqs for drafting high resulting players . Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. We still dont know if Kenny was a win or lose because he didnt want to try out our new offense system and learn from Wilson as a back up. Having said that Kevin Colbert drafred Big Ben. Not only is that the best pick since Troy Polamalu "whom he also drafted" he has never had the cap space to play like Kahn. We paid Ben big and right now and last year havent paid squat comparativly in the QB room so he has way more cap space. plus the league did well last year and caps are up an extra 30milliion or so. All im saying is we never had the money to play in free agency even if we wanted too. Super excited for next year. Thank you to Kevin Colbert for all his amazing work thru the years. I feel great players, who’ve already got a DECENT payday, would take less to be around studs…. We have a lot invested in our D, and now with Russ, and Fields, mobile AND throwing able, Pickens will get more grabs or ATTEMPTS atleast, growing to be a PAID man, and other great players would take lesser, to be with a playoff caliber team, and great coach in Mike T. He gets it done year in and out, slowed since Ben, but to “rebuild” and still stay plus .500, says a lot! I wanna see Williams, or Boyd, plus another draft in 3/4th…. Get O line up to snuff, Jaylen and Naj will have big years too with an ACTUAL Qb threat….
You can't make these moves with a franchise QB taking up half the cap space. Omar is striking while the iron is hot.
