  • Euphorbias are at their very best in the Spring when they produce their flowers. But the plants themselves are evergreen so provide interest all year round. There are just so many varieties, all different colours and sizes and they really are a must for every garden. Today I am planting two different varieties which I picked up on sale for just £2 each, and these are Euphorbia ‘Ascot Rainbow’ and Euphorbia ‘Rudolph’.
    We are also having a look around my very good friend Majella’s garden which she has lovingly been tending for the past 20 years and it is the perfect example of a mature and established English garden, so I do hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I did.

    Hi Janette I like Euphorbias and have 3 myself. I put the Ascot Rainbow in last autumn in the front garden its only a baby but it is looking good with the many primrose still early days. I like the scent of Euphorbias it is unusual like cress. Thanks for sharing bfn. 🐞🌻🌱

      Hi Jane, I love my ascot rainbow, I actually moved it so this will be its first Spring in its new spot so I’m hoping it does well. Huge big flowers in Spring. I’ve never noticed the scent. Beautiful aren’t they, very interesting plants 🥰

    Your friend has some good looking lush ferns in her garden and I did like the way she is using old tree stumps as free pedestals for her potted plants!

      Hello Una, yes I thought using the tree stumps was a great idea and I love her ferns too. Lovely to see other people’s gardens. Maybe a tour of yours Una? 😁😉😍

      Tempting. I usually do how to videos but so far never a walk around. Maybe we should think of a collaboration around Christmas since we are both Nutcracker crazy 😂😂😂

      Granny's Garden ok although the music is still not available but I will keep on looking. You have to make sure music you use is not copyrighted or the video will get a strike 🤪🤨😩

    Hello
    You have definitely converted me to Euphorbias. I did not know that they flowered. I steered away from them in the past because of the toxic sap. Your friend's garden is lovely.

    • @TheEnthusiasticGardener
      @TheEnthusiasticGardener  4 года назад +1

      Hi Sharon, yes they have beautiful flowers. I don’t worry about the sap because it’s only when you cut it and it dries up within say half an hour. They are so lovely in the Spring. Thanks so much for always commenting, love our chats 😍

    I was thinking about your plants annaones how about putting them into a pot then bury the pot that should keep it small and when they send up new shoots cut off if not needed just a thought thanks for your time 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

      Well I did ask on Gardener’s World Facebook page about whether they thought my Anenomes would be invasive, because I was worried about them. Had tons of comments saying not to worry. And I watched RUclips videos on same subject too. They all said make sure to remove the yellow ball which is the seeds, so I’ve been doing that religiously. One of the four plants has since died, I have no idea why, but that means I only have to worry about three plants instead of four 🤣 but I am keeping an eagle eye on them all and hoping for the best 🤣
