Thankyou so much for the instructional videos on the Ecos. I bought one a while ago in readiness for my layout build this autumn but the instructions were the German version. I've managed to get the English instructions as a pdf but I'm useless at reading from a PC screen and haven't the printer to print them off. Please keep these videos coming as you'll save me a lot of stress lol. Thanks again.
Thank you I am pleased I could help you I have a bit deeper video coming out on Saturday looking at block detection and other bits if you have any questions just ask
I started with the ECoS before I got the CS3. The ECoS was excellent, no complaints, I just felt the CS3 worked a bit more intuitively with all my Märklin trains. Both are amaying control modules and it becomes a personal choice. The only advantage the CS3 now has for me is that it automatically reads the MFX decoders, where you still have to do one extra step to load them on the ECoS. Great video!
I know what you mean I thought my new train had a Esu decoder in it which it loads the accessories details automatically but then I found out it had zimo I was disappointed as it meant I had to load them
you must keep the batteries in all te time otherwise it will not keep all off your info the shuttle system works very well when you want to do a shuttle run but you must have a detector to do this i use this all the time .
I took out the battery as it was in long term storage and I don’t want the battery to leaking it was plugged into a ups so for a quick video it was safe. The battery are used to shut down and safe the data if it loses power. I have not tried the shutter system but hopefully will have a try in next Saturday video. Thank you for your feedback
