Using Mini Arm N2 almost 4 months and i love it except the mounting setup , it take more time to set up adjust all 4 legs . But arm works amazing , you should check my IG to see BTS videos , great video thanks 👍🏻
Great video! The air shock design is borrowed from mountain bikes, so there should be no concern about its durability. Aka, it will be just fine. The nice thing about those air shocks is that you could theoretically upgrade to a very high-end shock that allows for damping and rebound fine-tuning. Meaning if you tune it right (based on road conditions), you could have it compress and rebound very precisely. Something a spring will never do.
The Suspension Part on the spring arm is used on mountainbikes it holds an air spring and a damper in the same unit with the ability to adjust rebound damping and high speed compression. This Gives some interesting upgrade options since there is spring suspension schock absorbers on bikes as well. Kind Of Clever design! Durability vice they work great and are designed to handle people riding a bike down a mountain!
Good to see you again Adam. I hope you and your family are well and happy! The star is such a clever design. Very cool engineering. I'll be interested to see how the air design copes over time. Innovation is always good!
Did you use the "car mount mode" on the 4D? Supposedly that helps reduce jitter, even more. And DJI will be releasing a GPS module for the 4D to help, yay!! Also looks like you have a DIY handle for the 4D? I got the Tilta handle which is a MUST for car-mounting(Or a DIY mount), so you can use the the Z-axis, like you show. Hopefully Vaxis will release the iso mount separately. Would love that for my Hydra Alien!
Hey Adam, quick question if you don't mind. Which clamp did you use the fix the dovetail plate to the pole at 8:54? Thank you so much and once again amazing work!
Dude, as always awesome video and insight! Second I was wondering about the 4D and DZO Lenses. I'm on the fence with the DJI 4D because of cinema lens.... So thanks for showing them in the video! DZO | They seem to fit! Is it a pain in the a** to get them to balanced?
Great and interesting vidéo as usual. What version of the the vespid mount ? EF Mount ? i just received all lenses and i'm really interested in trying this with my Dji 4D as well..but do you have a special tricks for EF mount on Dji 4D ? Thanks.
@@BestboyAdam Awesome! Two last questions, did you need the counterweight and what do you think the heaviest weight cinema lens is that you could use the Gimble system?
Awesome video as always. I got the counter weight coming in for my r4d. I was wondering, how did you get the vespids to balance? I have those and they feel very front heavy. Were you able to fully balance them or just partially offset the weight with the DJI counter weight?
Luke, they are not perfectly balanced, because they are still heavier at the front, but with the counterweight really minimal and the motor tilt can handle it without any problem
did you managed to see if you could plug a focus motor to the DJI GPS module? also may i ask if you find yourself using more a 16-35 lens or you jump to primes every time to film cars?
Hey Adam. Thanks for the video. I have one question... I already own the Tilta and have modified the vibration mount but i'm still left wanting a little more when it comes to isolation. You mention about the star isolator on the Tilta mount... Seeing as you have both, are you able to tell me if the star isolator fits onto the tilta arm as a solution without having to purchase the whole N2 system? If so i will go about sourcing a star vibration isolator. I really appreciate your time and in depth reviews as always! Thankyou.
nice video i am ab it confused. I was looking at Tilta hydra but when i read all the coments I am in the middle. I have z cam e2 cinema camera with different type of lenses and a zhyun crane 3s gimbal. Is it possible to connect either to hydra or Movmax razor and which do you prefer ? Thank you
Hello, Thank you for this test! Did you try to mount the Movmax star vibration on the Tilta Shock Absorbing Arm to have a better combo? Would it be possible to mount it ?
Great video! Do you have to use the counterweight for Ronin 4D in order for it to work with Vespid prime? (seems from the footage that you have the counterweight installed)
great but i still prefer the Tilta. Can you pls pls make a tutorial on the Tilta hand held arm stabilizer for the Ronin 4D if the plate effect the under sensors for the Z axis. thank you pls help me.
Can I ask have you had any issues with the 4 screws on the top of the Ronin I worry without having a cage for the Ronin 4d all the strain is on these little screws. Id love to see a cage coming out for the Ronin 4D
Movmax definitely need to start selling the star isolator on its own. Adapting it isn't hard. Do we know if its possible to mount the N2 Mini Standard kit to the Hydra mounting frame? Movmax just need to sell the arm bracket connector as an accessory.
@@BestboyAdam I spoke with Movmax, none of their current accessories interface with tilta's mounting frame. Its genuinely a frustrating situation. The star isolator looks like such a great product for hydra owners. I cant justify the cost of buying a 2nd system just for the iso..
I have a question, I saw your other video about putting Tilta hyra on bike, do you think Movmax N2 mini arm is less possibility on putting on bike or just fix angel like Tilt able to do?
Great video ,where can get some lut for my roni 4d ,l mean preview the videos recorded in the log with a lut to show a client,l was already trying with somthing but it was not working ,l think that maybe are not compatible
So I'm wondering why my Ronin 4D won't record. I have the right card in the slot. Every time I push the record button a message comes up that says "Hi we make it very difficult for people to use this camera" Ok it might as well say that. It says activate dji ronin 4d using dji assistant 2, so i did that. what am i missing? has anybody else experienced this? every other camera on the planet out of the box you push record and by a miracle it works. very frustrating. is there another wire I need to attach to program it?
Don't think it's worth twice the price and it's getting near black arm territory. The Tilta is still the best value and you can use that extra $2,000 to buy a drone or other equipments.

lol, they used an airshock from mountainbikes which are actually durable and reliable if you maintain the seals regularly ;)
I can second this, it looks like an off the shelf rear wheel shock of a mountain bike, so it is built tough as nails.
