    Pete... the feedback on a particular note: simple answer is that any combination of gear (guitar, amp, pedals, i.e. whole signal chain) will have a resonant frequency. That’s a frequency at which essentially the system will “vibrate” with very little energy being lost from those vibrations and when you couple that to the amplified signal coming back out of the speaker and hitting the guitar with that same signal frequency this adds more energy back into the guitar and the system as a whole and the amplitude (volume essentially in this case) will continue to grow until it turns into feedback at that frequency.

    @benmcginty2267 Год назад +2

It took me a few weeks to get it dialed in to suit me but now it is my preferred drive/distortion for a lot of things. going to try that "C" trick. It's based on a RAT so I tend to think of it as more of a distortion pedal rather than an OD.

      @demian113 3 года назад +1

      Agreed! I love the tone of the 1981 DRV (basically a modded boutique RAT pedal imho), but I simply cannot justify paying $300 for a single od/distortion. I am perfectly happy with my Archer Ikon that cost about $140 and I know I would never be happy dropping $4000+ on a real Klon....neither would the mrs. lol

    • @drdre4397
      @drdre4397 2 года назад

      Every new overdrive isnt 300$ you bafoons. Boss, Donner, Behringer all have budget options. Hell used you get great deals. A les paul into a cranked marshall does sound good but do you have room to practice with a 100w head to drive it hard enough to get that sound? That is what pedals can do for you, these are more boutique type pedals.
      Used boss drives (Sd1,BD2,0D1 are all great) go for 50$~,
      The reason the fancier pedals cost more is because the components are free...
