The fact that this gets constantly overshadowed by BFG Division is criminal, IMO. That explosion of choir is spine-tingling every single time-- I wish this had made it into Eternal.

BFG Division got all the popularity in the DOOM2016 soundtrack, and no shade against that song it's a fantastic song, but this is truly the crown jewel. A perfect fit for ripping and tearing your way through the Kadangur Sanctum of Hell.
The brutal shredding, the chaotic industrial drums, the Hell Choir itself, it all just comes together beautifully and is just *chef's kiss*
This was by far my favourite piece. It was the turning point in the game for me, going berserk in hell to this really tied everything together. Thanks for this, Mick.

I feel this song perfectly sums up the DOOM experience. The non-stop tension, the unrelenting and bombastic guitars, and of course the haunting choir singing a chorus of DAMNATION. They paint a picture of a dark and forsaken universe where GOD has abandoned us and there's only one man standing between HELL and HUMANITY. A man who himself is no longer human yet continues to fight no matter the suffering he brings onto himself. He is here.
Wouldn’t say abandoned, but rather let Hell unleash itself on mankind for their sins. Or simply hell was too full.

This is honestly better than bfg division. Bfg division has the same hype level throughout the chorus but however when this part drops you go full berserk

I like the idea of an orchestra and chior being given indevidual peices to do but not knowing what the whole thing sounded like until they played it after practicing their own peices a while and then being amazed
BFG Division may get the most attention, but Damnation really captures the feeling of being in literal Hell and digging deep to become the Doom Slayer.
I can’t help but think that the squealing in the background during halfway in the soundtrack are the sounds of rabbits in Doom Slayer’s head, reminding him what he’s fighting for in the first place
So this is what Titan's Realm actually is.
not gonna lie I got goosebumps when this was playing in the background especially when that choir starts, the track pumped me up, wrecking demons with Gauss cannon and shotgun on hell when this is playing in the background is one of the best thing I've experienced, thank you for producing such a wonderful soundtracks for one of my favourite video game franchise can't wait for doom eternal.
oh my god, it's the stress-inducing hell theme. I literally spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to not die in the kadingir sanctum and the music has been implemented in my head to trigger those moments

I can imagine the choir is both Angel's singing their glorious praise of the Slayer, and the Demons screaming in absolute terror as their end draws near
Not gonna lie, I think I prefer 2016's music to Eternal. Eternal's music isn't bad, it's just different in that it had more of a steady rhythm to it (i.e. you can almost dance to songs like The Only Thing They Fear is You, it's got a natural flow to it) whereas 2016 music was crazy chaotic and built up to those insane crescendos. It better fit the erratic combat and it felt like the music could deliver a drop at any second to compliment a dramatic moment. This song perfectly captures that.

sure! it's fine to like things, you know. Besides, Eternal's ost fits its game narratively and in terms of the flow, it throws much more shit at you but still retains a consistent "flow" you've mentioned that keeps you (and by extention, Doom Guy) concentrated. And also levels weren't all futuristic or all hell anymore. So it would make sense that you would like 2016's more, it's just focused on delivering a different point of view on the slayer and the environment

I just realised DOOM 2016 was 7 years ago. Soon this game will be as old to some kids as the 1993 version is to us now.
In my opinion this track is the best. I found it very interesting, scary and badass. It sounds like it wasn't made on this planet but in other dimension.
