god the production of this soundtrack is really phenomenal. as an audio engineer im always blown away when listening to the soundtrack and fx on headphones. that low end is fucking EPIC
The thing I'm always stunned by is Mick's skills in layering the distortion with amplification whilst keeping the higher frequencies clear and the lowest frequencies pounding.
It's like, pure engineer magic.
Same, as an engineer myself it almost bums me out because I know my skills aren't (yet) this advanced! Shame Eternal got fucked around...

@@TheHobatron Eternal still secured good soundtracks such as The Only thing they fear is you, Cultist Base, Final Sin, Gladiator, the menu theme. And it's only the positioning that's been screwed, within gameplay it still is perfect

I didn't even notice the E1M4 reference in this song in game! But its amazing to hear little references to the original Doom, especially his little E1M1 riff Mick did during the game awards when he performed live

Playing halo with this on whole different game especially fighting the flood
Played this and Rip and Tear on Reach's final mission, and I agree. Feels like an entirely different game. Now I was the one on the offensive, hunting them down.
These soundtracks go with anything that has to do with violence
Pro tip: The Library is very fun with BFG division, E1M1, and Rip & Tear while using the Bitcrushed Plasma Rifle from Cursed Halo.

Hey man, just wanna say that you absolutely NAILED the soundtrack for this game; it couldn't be better. I watched a couple mini documentaries and saw some of the little easter eggs and extra creative bits you did too. A chainsaw running through a synthesizer?! That's ingenious. Absolutely amazing work, I hope to hear more in Eternal, assuming you're doing the soundtrack for that one too that is.
Tip: Listen to this Track on mid to good headphones. Speakers don't do the bass parts justice. Great and underrated song of the DOOM OST.

I picked up the CD soundtrack and its so awesome!
I know right? The disc look so cool. But the packaging? Not the biggest fan. I don't like the sleeves. It's hard to get the disc out, and I worry about scratching them over time. Still cool to have, although it is a bit hard to get your hands on a copy. I had to wait a month for mine, it came from France.
