Omg the clarinet is amazing but that dude playing the tuba is unstoppable, I can't imagine standing AND playing like that nonstop for hours
Have you heard of marching band?
It's her husband.
Dats a sousaphone my dude, the chad-tuba
Sousaphone
@@Peter-ff1tp You just said it. SOUSAPHONE. Not TUBA.
Woah i did not even realised she came in the same pitch as the crowd's cheer at 1:57. True legend!
HORRY SHIET!
the crowds a bit sharp but close enough
@@rux_99 you mean she's flat?
@@lux5164 why do you say so?
@@lux5164 Transition everyone's ears. This is one of the world's best jazz clarinetists, I have absolutely no doubt she did that on purpose.
Plus, that wasn't a real note persay. It would've been a strange choice considering the key otherwise.
The woman at 0:28 in the green jacket is absolutely loving it, and rightly so
I read your comment, looked up at the video and there she was dancing along... impeccable timing
That Headbob caught my attention!!!
She's back at 1:41
How on earth can people walk by??? I'd be standing there, mesmerized with my jaw on the pavement.
People don't see its technology its healing and spiritually raiding frequency of you if you tune in
You can always tell when someone is in love with the intrument that they are playing with, wish this group the best
I absolutely love that at the end the woman said to the newly married couple "ya'll shouldn't be dancing to hit the road jack," cause it's about a bad relationship lmao
watching this really makes me want to go practice my clarinet. and I don't even own a clarinet lol
Same
I love you.. loll practice what you got... ♡ :'D
The lady says at the end "dont dance to 'hit the road jack', you gotta dance to this" then starts playing La veine rose
Legendary
the amount of talent on this street corner alone is insane 🥺🤩
As a local I assure you she is on another level
love the thumbs up after the clarinet note that never ends
The guy on the sousaphone killing it.
That dude right behind her just smiling the entire time and vibing is great
She gives me the chills with her playing!
The drummer is her daughter...
keeping jazz time without even thinking about it...amazing.
bro the ending killed me. She literally said to the couple, " you cant dance to hit the road jack, you gotta dance to this"
It was la vie en rose right?
Anyone got the video? I wanna experience it lol
@@burntchickennugget8142 same tho
That's the difference between "making" music and " feeling" music. Thank You very much for this beautiful experience!❤️
Put it simply its jazz
I worked in the French Quarter and used to watch her play on that corner for years.
My Lord, I just came across this woman. Amazing!
Saw this fabulous lady and her man in New Orleans! Please come to Philadelphia, Doreen!!
This woman is the most passionate street artist i've ever seen.
Can we appreciate the guy who hopped off the big ass bike a moment.
This is what makes America great. Not running around the planet making everyone's lives miserable.
Just saw her while visiting NOLA last weekend-
A-mazing !
Her voice, deep, sweet, mellow hurt burnt sugar
That clarinet skill level is off the scale!
holy shit. . . My kids playing clarinet in middle school, thought I would come on a look up some people shredding the instrument. . . Just holy shit. Always gets me seeing someone love music for the music.
Watching her makes me want to practice
Ok….HOW DO PEOPLE NOT STOP TO SEE THIS RAW TALENT???!!
I feel like I'm gonna get an extra charge from my ISP for downloading such a heavy load of pure, raw and uncompressed talent. Doreen is a gem of a musician but everyone else here is shining with their own light too. 10/10
They DESERVE a big stage!
Imagine seeing the giant weird bike and that not being the coolest thing you had seen that day
😂😂😂
That's a moped lol I'm not sure if you might be from out of the US but it's heavily common here. It actually substitutes as a cheaper alternative to a car, and in a lot of states doesn't even require a license to drive. Now granted, that is one souped up moped lmao that doesn't look too cheap. Typically, they just don't go over like 50-60 mph, some even slower depending on how much you're willing to pay for it.
@@elijahscarbro7029 he didnt mean the moped he meant the tall bike that crosses in front of the band

Bravo...A true Mama Blues! May the "likes" bring the success you deserve!!! Blessed be...
1:57 How Squidward thinks he sounds when he plays clarinet 🤣
La música es universal y hay en el mundo cientos de idiomas, en todos ellos el único comentario es que su música es preciosa, única y maravillosa. El clarinete y voz de Doreen y sus músicos acompañantes son increíblemente amenos!
arguably better than the original
The amount of control and breath support as well as like ability and talent is breathtaking!
Pure New Orleans this is it
Hard to tell where she stops and the clarinet begins. They're part of each other.
wow this pops. true music. reppin for the musicians. thank you.
Yessssssss I like it !!!!
It amazes me all the people just walking by. I would have to stop and listen to this wonderful music.
The Trombone really is the Jazz of the Brass section.
Women I miss you you filled those streets with the joy of your music so much hate to be away from you your loved and I love and miss you had to move after storm ida
I’m glad my name isn’t Jack so I can keep coming back ❤️❤️
I think she could win America's Got Talent easy! More people need to hear her!!!
You should check out her performance with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Doreen Ketchens is a really well known clarinetist and has performed for 4 presidents
Unbelievably talented, compare to 99% talents on TV

sousaphone man killed it
👍
Мир был бы совсем другим без них
WHAT THEY GOTTA DANCE TO I WANNA HEAR
I have a question as a sax player learning clarinet because I noticed that during Doreen’s improv she made those high notes come without a single squeak, how in the hell do someone do that?!
practice 😁👍
Lots and lots and lots of practice
Maybe starting the notes with tighter embouchure for the pitch
shake, shake, shake!
Weow
I'm so messed up cuz i thought of shake by speed instantly when i heard this
Hi, would you happen to know when Mrs. Ketchens plays?
What do they dance to at the end?? Does anyone have the video?
Brass lungs , golden voice
My friend was watching over my shoulder and said, "[The trombonist] isn't playing the right notes. That's not even how that song goes!"...
All I could do was tsk tsk him shamefully.
Not joking I play trumbone after a bit you can do it pretty well it doesn’t take so long I legit did it the first time I played.
