iRig Mic Lav + Iphone X can i fix Audio Problems?

Hi all,
Welcome to another dangerous Brian's Tech pronlems.
Started with the Iphone X having intermittent audio, so onto the net.
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to, was really good Link below and up top right (if i can remember when i'm ediiting)

Then i jumped through the online shopping frenzy.
Came up with the iRig Mic Lav.
but alas the cheap 3.5mm lighting connectors at this time i guessed was at fault.
Went onto more stupid buying.
Until the Apple Store for a proper Lightning adaptor.

The challenge (for me) is everyday situations caught on camera and turning them to a enjoyable video for viewers to watch.
