We own the Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid luxury and the CRV Hybrid touring. Very similar, I love the luxury feel of the Santa Fe and is feels faster especially on acceleration. The crt transmission on the CRV is slower and louder. CRV is very solid. Love the pano moonroof in the Hyundai. Honda interior always feels a little behind the times. Lower the seats from the rear tailgate is much more convenient the the seat lever on the Honda. I find the Santa is a little more classy and luxurious and the CRV is more practical. Warranty is better on the Hyundai. Overall great vehicles.

Good video comparison...I cross shopped both of these and it was very close, in the end I went with a Santa fe hybrid limited. Having had a Subaru previously I disliked the cvt and wanted a regular transmission, also liked the full panoramic roof on the SF, and the turn signal cameras are great, it also has heated rear seats and heated and cooled front seats. So for me the extra features won over the CRV... so far no regrets.

For me, the Santa Fe is a step up in class as far as luxury. Interior on the CRV looks utilitarian. even the exterior looks plane jane. The one advantage the Honda CRV hybrid has is, it's better on gas and it's has a better reputation for reliability, but the Hyundai has a much better warranty. I would go with the Santa Fe. It looks more upscale.

Overall, Santa Fe is much nicer than CRV. It’s more spacious and luxurious than CRV. Panoramic roof, excellent dash and bigger screen, much better drive performance. On the other hand CRV seems like pretty basic with interior.

I am in love with the Santa Fe and can’t wait til I find the exact one I want. I’m leaning towards the Limited with gray exterior and black interior. I really don’t like the low bumper blinker placement on the Hyundai. It seems like they didn’t think that through. Should people be riding your bumper? No! This was a really big factor for my wife and I. Not only is there more backseat leg room, but there's also more driver seat leg room. I'm 6'5 and the Santa Fe is the most comfortable midsize SUV I've sat in. The difference won't matter for average-sized people, but it makes a difference to me. My wife and I recently added a baby boy to the family and she immediately fell in love with how much space there is in the backseat. It's very roomy, about to comfortably fit her, the carsear, and a 3rd person if necessary...all while not compromising my own space. Lastly, the backseat shades and panoramic sun/moonroof are unbelievable. Idk if higher trims of the CR-V have shades, but it's wonderful for privacy. She's able to breastfeed, we're both able to change our kid, etc with great privacy. I know the panoramic sun/moonroof is only on the Santa Fe, and I've got to admit it's probably my favorite feature. You not only have beautiful sights, but you can get some sunlight without getting all of the heat that comes with it. I didn't realize how well it blocks the heat until I let the sunroof back and immediately felt the sun's power lol.The CR-V Hybrid is a great vehicle, but I absolutely adore my Santa Fe Hybrid.

@wolfshanze5980 This makes sense, the Santa Fe is certainly roomier than the Tucson. I'd imagine the CR-V and Tucson are similar in cabin space. I know the Tucson has more cargo space than both the Santa Fe and the CR-V. The Santa Fe is only a slightly larger vehicle, the main difference is that is prioritizes cabin space and luxury feel over cargo space, while still delivering excellent cargo space. This also explains why the CR-V feels a bit more sporty.

Had a 2017 crv, nice vehicle, but I didn't like the cvt transmission, sounded like it was never going to quit reving when under hard acceleration. The hyundai has a better warranty and better looks, in my opinion. Also, my wife likes the pass through storage area under the console and the storage area in the dash on the passenger side. We did purchase the 2023 Santa Fe, and we love it, but it is the 2.5 turbo, and it is pretty quick.

There is no comparison between these two vehicles IMO. The gas mileage is better in the Honda but we dont drive a lot so that was never an issue. The looks of the Santa Fe IMO is a much better style. The added features list can go on and on. Our want was an SUV Hybrid so we stuck to looking only at hybrid SUV's. Toyota Rav4 was a close third.

Both of these are amazing, and you can't go wrong with picking either. I like the exterior of the crv a bit more, but the opposite is true for the interior. However, i actually also really like the interior of the crv but the santa fe has a bit more of a luxurious look to it. The center gear cluster with all the push button design is what drew me to the SF as well as the tech and digital graphics of the speedometer area. It looks like the crv has a bigger opening to the trunk as well as more cargo space and better gas mileage and i like the wheels more on it. I'm generally more of a honda fan, but hyundai and kia have really stepped up their game in the last few years. I am actually thinking of getting a 2023 SF calligraphy or xrt trim soon. I was thinking of ford edge, honda passport or the SF but pricing and everything else mentioned is making me lean towards the SF.

From safety to warranty, from interior size to equipment, from ride to noisy controls, from 0 APR at this moment to discount, nothing CRV can beat Santa Fe. Also, this is a new generation CRV compared to the current generation of Santa Fe from 2019 style. The next generation, Santa Fe outlooking, can beat the all new CRV again, I guess. But besides the outlooking, the all new CRV still can not beat the current Santa Fe.

Like any comparison we can say "six of one half a dozen of the other" Every model has advantages and disadvantages, for me the Honda is the best looking of any of the competition and looks great on the interior, really like the analogue look of the digital instrument cluster, like the large cargo space but there are so many disadvantages for one that infotainment tablet sticking up on both cars especially the Honda is rather obstructive as opposed to having it incorporated into the dash, The Honda has that CVT transmission, it is also the most desirable vehicle for thieves so it's one of the most stolen vehicles in Canada, also in Canada if you want the Hybrid you have to go up to the top trim at $58,000! If you opt out of the Hybrid the engine is a small 1.5L turbo, it would be better to have a 2.5L non turbo. Love both the dark blue and the beautiful red for both vehicles, sick and tired of 99% of all vehicles in Canada being black, white, silver or grey. No new vehicles available here in Canada anyway and up to 2 or more year wait for some.

Whereas the smooth, luxurious look of the Santa Fe would he the very easy choice up until about 2020, the current obsession is on more boxy looking vehicles. It's part of why the 2024 Santa Fe is super boxy. It's where the SUV market is heading. People like to feel rugged and outdoorsy, whether they do those activities or not lol

@@davidconboy5822 Have any of your Hondas had a CVT transmission? If so how did you like it?

@@robertzemko6590 Our 2017 Touring CRV has a CVT transmission. Some people don’t like a CVT. I have 42,000 miles on this vehicle and have had no mechanical issues with it. Now as many people will tell you a CVT has a different feel to it, meaning that it is not a responsive as a traditional transmission. It personally doesn’t bother me but you will however notice a slight delay in power transfer when you step on the gas hard. The CVT is a well proven trans. and has been used by Honda for years and years. It’s also used by other automobile manufacturers as well. Lol .. don’t know if I’ve helped you or not. :)

Honda CRV is also 20% cheaper than Sante Fe in my country. I'm seriously considering it now.

I do like that the santa Fe trim package has real leather, which you can not get in a Honda and the Panoramic sun roof. I do prefer the looks of the Tucson over tge Santa fe but more luxury items in the Santa fe. I have to test drive to see. Concerned since vo love my jeep grand Cherokee which is 6. It's a lease going back soon, and it was $53,000.00 I just want a small monthly payment. I had 2 Honda crv's touring nice but felt like a mommy car.

CRV has better in-town and highway fuel economy than Santa Fe.
