There's definitely some parallax on the sides if you're looking closely but they don't affect drawing that much. 14.6-inch is a big display but it's not big enough for parallax to be a big problem. Cursor tracking is still accurate. No issues with clicking on things near the edges on both sides.
as someone who really appreciate the high quality display that Samsung made & uses, this option is basically the best of both worlds where I can use the beautiful display when consuming contents and have textured surface when I need to draw or take some notes, I just hope they will release on for the S8 Ultra
I was just thinking the same! update; I just checked and I can find it at least for my tablet, the S9 (FE)+ So very most likely that they also have released it for yours since you commented!
I have the previous version for the S8+. It does feel amazing, but can also wear down on the nib rather quick I have many backups of the soft-tip, but I run it with a hard stylus tip in a staedtler jumbo stylus, which feels rather nice (like pencil on somewhat course paper) with the bonus of a wider grip for greater comfort during longer writing sessions. Great Review!
@desadesa On the S8 version I have, it does. It just seems a lot slower; but I suppose it depends on how much writing you do and how hard your press down to paper is. For myself, I used it for notes for school and sermon notes from the church services I would attend. So about a lecture quantity of writing on a standard day and it did wear the plastic tip.
I'd love to see a long-term review on scratches/texture and nibs wearing if possible! Its nice to see more official options from Samsung like this and I can see this being more useful than those magnetic screen protectors
I've seen some titanium nibs for the wacom one creative and lamy pen on Amazon and they should last a while on the notepaper. Idk tho since i don't have them rn.
@Vulcannyx I actually used the Wacom titanium nibs before! They're nice but I have heavy hands, so they scratched my previous screen protector badly lol. The Steadtler Norris nibs is my go-to for S-pen now (without any matte screen protector)
I got the anti glare screen protector. It's just a plastic sheet so not protective but it does remove glare. You can put a glass protector over top imo
Just get a matte screen protector, Brotech makes good been using them for over 4 years now. And I think there are even matte tempered glass screen protecotrs nowadays
@icarusz000 I did, but it didn't quite stay flat enough on the screen because it's plastic and not glass. There was always a small gap to the screen somewhere, and i had to hold it down for it to be flat to the screen, and because it's matte, even a slight gap will blur picture quality quite a bit. I then tried the detachable privacy screen. It was flatter but too much of a hit to picture quality, and the glare was still awful. So, I then bought the official Samsung anti-glare screen protector. It was a fail the first time. It's easy to align with the tools, but as with most screen protectors, it's difficult to put it on without bubbles. Bought it the second time and got it on perfectly, but as many other people have reported, there were two lines down the middle of the screen where it didn't stick properly. These did however disappear completely after about a week, and it looks perfect. This was about 2 months ago, and I've been very happy with the anti-glare performance. I compared it side by side with my m2 iPad pro, and the Samsung was shockingly better at cutting reflections, so I finally sold the iPad. I've been happy with the s9 ever since, I only wish they install the antiglare protector at the factory, or design it into the screen! Though I guess the s10 will probably have gorilla glass armour which should do just that. I won't be upgrading though, I'm really happy with the anti glare protector.
@@drvel Thank you so much for the thorough answer, this helps me so much! Does the S-Pen still feel the same on the anti glare protector as on the "naked" screen?
Since you were asking about what people use on their own tablets at the end, I have two screen protectors on my iPad, a glass one and then an iCarez matte one on top of the glass. It does occasionally cause a bit of oddness in the pencil connection, but for me, that tradeoff is worth having both protection and a surface that feels more like paper. I also don’t mind losing a little bit of screen crispness in favor of non-glare.
For anyone else that is wondering, I already had a glass screen protector and got my NotePaper today and it works just Stellar even with it on! Hope this helps anyone since no reviews out there talks about this! Cheers!
Samsung going all in for the artist niche would have been truly nice if the PRICES are not as expensive as they are now(you can’t tell me these prices arent Samsung preemptively scalping their users before regular scalpers can). I am a bit baffled about this official matte SP though. I always thought that one advantage S-Pen has over Apple Pencil is its grippy rubber nibs. Personally I don't use screen protectors. But I used to love matte finish and the way it feels and looks, despite the reduced sharpness. Nowadays matte screen protectors are not easily available in my local so I have stopped using them almost 5-6 years back.
hello Teoh, is your S9 tablet using the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector, while reviewing this notepaper screen ? Any chance you can review this item ? with vs without the protector on ? From samsung site, couldn't tell whether its matte/glossy smooth type
Are you supposed to use a normal screen protector with this. If you already have a normal screen protector, can you use this on that? Since this is a detachable one, i assume you would remove it when not writing, so you would need a normal matte screen protector anyway? Great review BTW.
@@teohontech7141 Does it affect the sensitivity or writing experience in any way when used on a matte screen protector ? I just got my tab s9 and was debating whether to get this or not .
¡Hola Teoh! I'm new to the tablet and spen experience so this was very helpful. I ordered this note paper with my Tab s9 but based on your video looks like I should order replacement nibs for the S Pen. Since the soft ones wear down over time is better to replace it right away with a metal or plastic nib? Or wait until the nib wears down? Is there a difference between getting a plastic or metal nib? Gracias and you've got some stellar review vids. Consider me a new fan 🙌🏼
Hola. I've not used metal nib with the S Pen before so I can't say much regarding the drawing performance or whether they will scratch the screen protector. Anyway, the plastic nibs are very affordable and it's good to buy some as backup first.
@@teohontech7141hi friend. Here from Brazil, I ask you the following: is it possible to replace the tip from the original S-Pen that comes with the Tab S9 lineup by another one from a generic manufacturer? Also: do you know if such S-Pen will accept some kind of tip with a different texture as the plastic ones as observed in the STAEDTLER NORIS DIGITAL JUMBO tips? PS.: very nice videos from your channel.
@@teohontech7141 I would be very interested what cases actually work with this. Still trying to find a good anti-glare/case combo. I aim to use it mostly for drawing, and I don't think(?) the Samsung cases support nice drawing angles. It seems like the best option is still a 3rd party matte / paper feely screen protector that doesn't get in the way of cases.
I got it and it annoys me everytime i use my tablet. Even with display sensitivity turned on high it does not respond very well from time to time. It works well with the pen but i was looking for a screen saver that can do both. For instance while writing this text i had to correct words at least four times for a letter was missing.
Unfortunate that it does not accommodate holes for the camera, or at least leave the area for the camera unfrosted. Also could be better if they designed it to have a bit of lip that could latch on the other end - should solve the sliding around when used in other orientations. I hope they release a better version soon 😅 Love the content and thank you for sharing about the product!

You mention the fit briefly in this video, but could you also mention if the cover detaches easily when writing on it and how the touch sensitivity is with this cover for the s8 ultra? Thank you!
The magnets are strong so it's unlikely for the cover to detach while writing. There's minimal movement to the cover while writing.
What should i buy for drawing this one or paperlike
Depends on whether you want it to be removable.
Which is best note app for samsung tablet
Samsung Note or Nebo
what is the pencil like pen you use? it seems s9 compatible so i wanna try 💞💞💞
Staedtler Noris Digital
Nice video and great explanation of the cover. Btw what magnetic stand were you using in the video?
It a usd40 universal stand from Lululook www.lululook.com/?rfsn=6999625.5cb85f
Also how much storage have? And genshin runs smoothly?? Im about to buy it

Personally I don't use screen protectors. But I used to love matte finish and the way it feels and looks, despite the reduced sharpness.
Nowadays matte screen protectors are not easily available in my local so I have stopped using them almost 5-6 years back.
Is it compatible with tab S7 +?
hello Teoh, is your S9 tablet using the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector, while reviewing this notepaper screen ? Any chance you can review this item ? with vs without the protector on ? From samsung site, couldn't tell whether its matte/glossy smooth type
is it compatible with a case protector?
hey, sometimes you use a cool stylus, the one that looks like a pencil. Can you tell me what model this is?
Staedtler Noris Digital.
Thx 😄👍
Good info but is there one of these for the tab S9 fe?
Yes it works, according to some comments I read online
Can I use this with a case?
Will this work with the book cover back?
Has anyone found out?
Can we use Note Paper Screen and S9 Cover(without cover) both simultaneously ?
Should be possible
Are you supposed to use a normal screen protector with this. If you already have a normal screen protector, can you use this on that? Since this is a detachable one, i assume you would remove it when not writing, so you would need a normal matte screen protector anyway? Great review BTW.
You can use a clear screen protector beneath
@@teohontech7141 Does it affect the sensitivity or writing experience in any way when used on a matte screen protector ? I just got my tab s9 and was debating whether to get this or not .
@@raghuvaidya5485 Writing experience is great. Does not affect pen sensitivity
@@teohyc oh thankyou . Did you try it with a scree protecter on or without?
Thank you!
Thank you for showing it for S8 ultra. Ordered one for my S8
hey did it work for you? how was your experience' I want to order one for my s8 ultra too, but not sure
Yaay thank u for the review.
I thought the NotePaper Screen is only available for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 ULTRA. Not for the Tab S9/S9+ ...??
are the original Staedtler nibs plastic/ more resistant to wearing down?
Plastic tips will still wear down so I recommend you buy more spares. They are inexpensive anyway
Does matte/textured cover wear down soft stylus nibs much more than smooth screen/screen protector?
It does. There is no advantage to using soft nib as the plastic nib has good textured experience on the screen protector tool
Couldn't you please recommend where to get plastic replacement nibs for s9 s-pen? (A Samsung newbie here)
@@izumiasmrYou can find those on Amazon easily
@@teohontech7141hi friend. Here from Brazil, I ask you the following: is it possible to replace the tip from the original S-Pen that comes with the Tab S9 lineup by another one from a generic manufacturer?
Also: do you know if such S-Pen will accept some kind of tip with a different texture as the plastic ones as observed in the STAEDTLER NORIS DIGITAL JUMBO tips?
PS.: very nice videos from your channel.

Can i use this screen protector for s8 ultra even if it does not fit properly
Yes, you have to manually adjust the fitting to get it perfect which is easy to do so
@@teohontech7141 thank you soo much. Only for this screen protector I thought I should buy s9 ultra. Now I don't have to

Teoh please do a short video covering Lamy and Wacom one usage and sensitivity on this note paper and s9 Ultra.
They have the same performance as the S Pen depending on the pen nib used (hard vs soft). It's best to use hard plastic nib which will last longer.
what is the other pen that you are using?
Staedtler Noris Digital
where can we get them? I don't see them in Samsung's website
can i use s9notepaper screen over s9 tempered glass
Should be possible
Could this fit on a Samsung Tab S7? I'm curious because the difference in size is not that big
The attachment fitting will not be perfect but it should still work if you get the correct size
@@teohontech7141 Sounds good enough. I'll try at least. If anyone else here is curious, I will have an answer to my question in 1-2 weeks :D

Can i use when i ware the case
With some Samsung case, but not those that cover the sides
@@teohontech7141 I would be very interested what cases actually work with this. Still trying to find a good anti-glare/case combo. I aim to use it mostly for drawing, and I don't think(?) the Samsung cases support nice drawing angles.
It seems like the best option is still a 3rd party matte / paper feely screen protector that doesn't get in the way of cases.

Hi! Is the S pen nob is exchangeable?! Last generation was not exchangeable
It's exchangeable and replaceable. All S Pen nibs are replaceable
@teohontech7141 thank you so much. It's not the case with galaxy s22 ultra S pen. If you try to pull out the nib, the pen will be wrecked

I got it and it annoys me everytime i use my tablet. Even with display sensitivity turned on high it does not respond very well from time to time. It works well with the pen but i was looking for a screen saver that can do both. For instance while writing this text i had to correct words at least four times for a letter was missing.

Great video 🤝
Unfortunate that it does not accommodate holes for the camera, or at least leave the area for the camera unfrosted. Also could be better if they designed it to have a bit of lip that could latch on the other end - should solve the sliding around when used in other orientations. I hope they release a better version soon 😅
Love the content and thank you for sharing about the product!
This is meant for drawing, you do not need camera when you are drawing. They made it removable for a reason.
