Wilhelm Strasse It IS similar to Sith songs.... My jaw almost dropped at 0:34. Hadn't expected that. It starts out on that same note as in Revenge of the Sith, the opera house, before the telling of the Tragedy of Plageious. It also reminded me of Empreror Sidious's theme. To me this plague seems like a slight mixture of the neurax worm (shadow slaves), necroa virus (shadow slaves and enemy faction), and the simian flu (vampire and enemy faction).
Don't know why, but hearing this OST makes me think of fictional villains like Darth Sidious or Lord Drakan.

Having the Shadow Plague irl would be worse because zombies can't teleport, they can't kill millions every day with Shadow Blades, they can't turn into bats and fly across borders, and they aren't as smart as vampires. Vampires would be MUCH deadlier.
