I like watching your video very helpful. We have been down here in the wma for 3 days and have found good sign but have not seen or heard any hogs. Do you have any advice for us?
One look at those soggy conditions and I would have said "No hunting here today." You have a lot of drive to keep going thru that. Great adventure! Enjoyed watching(from my dry living room).
Traditional Bowhunting And Wilderness Podcast Very much. You don’t need to kill an animal to have a cool video and this is a perfect example. Fun to watch
@@SeasonsChange24 appreciate that. Was honestly not sure how well people would like it given I don't actually show hogs..lol. but when I'm hunting, I'm hunting and not thinking camera at that moment. Glad you liked it.
That Phillip Johnson guy looks like an incredible outdoorsman! I am looking forward to next year. One more Ga hunt for me and it’s over until the fall. The tip about using pruners to get through the thick stuff is great. I usually keep a pair in my bag for creating a hasty blind but not for being more sneaky. I’ll do it now for sure.
Awesome hunt dude. You got into a lot of pigs. Typical SC habitat, but I don’t recognize the area right off, especially if there are that many people hunting there. I rarely hunt where there are any people to mention. The other hunters can be advantageous sometimes though.I’ve bowhunted most all of the wmas, less a few in the pediment and the southwestern edge of the state. Keep after them man.
@@SamkoTradBow wow I’ve never seen a bunch of OOS hunters really on any wma here on any hunt. I know Woodbury use to get a lot of hunters during the hog hunts but nothing like you mentioned. Maybe different over on the west side? Either way looked like a good hunt.
I would be nervous hunting around all those gun hunters, I have been shot at before and many guys will shoot at movement and if there color blind they won't see orange. I think some of the guys blasting away think they are playing video games . Wish people had more respect for the animals. Was thinking if you shot one near the interstate I would have dragged it to the edge , marked it and pulled over on interstate and tossed it in, but I'm sure u thought about that also.
Yep was crazy on that trip. I'm actually in the same place hunting again right now and we only heard 1 gun shot in 3 days! All flooded water and pretty quiet here right now.
There is one thing you can count on between Wild hogs and coyotes their numbers are growing faster then we can take them out but it ain't from a lack of trying to kill them that's for sure and the DNR wants us to kill as many as we can and on public lands that's 12 months a year daylight to dark . The guys taking down all they can see but all we can do is try to do what we can with them to help our farmers from damage or just the environmental issues these hogs cause .
@@SamkoTradBow the ones you want to check out being a bow hunter is atchafalaya delta wma, tensas river nwr and tunica hills wma! That should narrow it down for you hope this helps
Welcome to our swamps of South Carolina. Great video
Sure is amazing country you have there
You should check out Dan’s Frog Legs.
One of these days I'm going to get some of Dan's boots made up.

Keep walking! Mean that very seriously. You have to find hogs to hunt them. And they move with the food. Finding them is the hardest part
👍👍great video. Bow hinting looks hard.
It is and is supposed to be! That's what we love about it. Glad you enjoyed it.
11:15 in the 'afternoon'? how is that possible....Lol
I live in Anderson sc and looking for good hog hunting spots and new hunting friends
Lots of hogs in SC! Will not be hard to find good places.
Bring the Jet Sled lol... Reminds me, I gotta throw mine in the boat.
Such a great tool. Love the jet sled
Your hunt along vlogs like this are pure gold. Keep them coming!
Glad you like them!
When you're tracking you got to pick up the hog poop to see if it's still warm
Hahaha. I hear you can tell if its a sow or boar if you taste it too.. lol Just kidding.

Hahahaha. Yep when I only have 3 days to hunt I'm hunting regardless of conditions.
What gun was your body using caliber and gun?
his was a 350 bushmaster i believe and dont know the model or brand.
Awesome hunt jason! Love the attitude even after slogging through all that thick and muck. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it

Love it. Will buy another one when I'm done with this one can't beat the vehicle and capabilities for the price.
Traditional Bowhunting And Wilderness Podcast . Good to know . Thanks. Love watching your archery. Stay safe.
@@chriskelleher349 thanks! You as well
Awsome effort down there for some hogs! Tuff competition with gun hunters
Pigs are my passion! U get in a thicket holdin a stick and string with about 50 to 100 hogs around ya….. U feel ALIVE 🤘🏻🏹🐗
Hahaha. Yep always an adventure

Yeah this place was packed with out of state hunters there for the special 5 day pig hunt. Was jam packed!

IT'S A RIVER NOT A ROAD, YOU SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT A BOAT.LOL😆
You are not kidding! And the next year I did bring an Inflatable kayak
Great hunt Jason. I'm going pig hunting tomorrow. 👍
Yeah one of these days I need to get back down to Florida and hunt with ya! Just so darn far to drive from Northern michigan...lol

They should allow bowhunters to hunt them during the small game season. Cant have a broadhead in your quiver in small game.
Use your canoe
Yep great idea!
Anyone know of any public land for hogs and deer in north and South Carolina?
It’s worst in louisiana wma’s no respect for other hunters or animals! Makes me sick and mad at same time
Never hunted there but on my to do list someday.
