omg so happy I found you.. went through similar experiences with not so great vocal coaches and myth 3 of breathing is everything! omg I literally had a coach I felt that was all she was teaching me and it was just bizarre..

Thank you so much Whitney! I will admit I was really confused by the head voice and chest voice terms and really had no idea what it meant. Thank you for explaining and for encouraging people to sing if they love it.

Love the Power - Source - Filter description. It's easy to remember and easy to check into whenever I find myself not singing well. Now I have short checklist to run through to find what is hanging me up at any given moment.

I thought there was a head voice and a mix voice but the way you explained makes more sense.. we all have only one voice

I very much agree that anyone can learn to sing. Believing or supporting the myth that you “have it or don’t” overlooks and diminishes the hard work singers put into their craft and the conditioning required for supported, healthy singing.

This is a thing that disturbs me completely!! "I can't sing" I have heard that and I just know that is not right!

i have the singing straw and do find it beneficial when warming up and it allows me to feel more powerful after pulling it away and practicing/performing. uncomfortable to say but i find that saliva is coming through and out the end when i use it though... common?

Increased saliva while singing is common. Hey, it worked for King George III. 🤣

Correct info on the upper and lower register, refreshing to hear a vocal coach/teacher speak in proper language. I use the term "connected tone" from the bottom to the top note.
