The old west trick for the loading lever is to tie it to the barrel with a bit of leather or string. It was a common issue for period Walkers too.
I use Frisco too. But when you try to store loaded gun the Frisco sometimes leaches into powder causing it to weaken the load. Have you ever had that happen?
YEP specifically with the southern heat I’ve noticed the Crisco melt and had some hang fires in a recent episode on the other channel because of it.
Heck I top my 1858 off with 777 and compress a ball down and that's enough power for me.
Load the bad chamber with ball in patch.
