    Just FIXED our Bosch dishwasher using this video and ordered the part directly from Repair Clinic. The part arrived in 18 hours!!!!!! That is not a typo. Literally the following afternoon and we’re back in business. Can’t thank the folks at RC enough.

    I had a problem with my Bosch 800 Series dishwasher - where the bottom of the dishwasher was slowly filling with clean water, while the dishwasher washer was off. Replacing this part fixed my problem. Thanks for the video!

      Did water eventually rise high enough to come out of the washer onto the floor? This has happened to me twice in the last 9 months. Is it that the inlet valve stays slightly open/doesn't close when the washer shuts off? I'm concerned that it might get worse----even though it doesn't happen often. Wondering if this part will solve the problem like it did for you.

    This was very helpful and saved me $$$. My water intake valve had failed and was letting in a slow stream constantly, thus the washer was repeatedly draining and could never finish its cycle.

    This video was perfect. Easy and clear. My Bosch was not cleaning so well. Would not get hot like it used to, would not dissolve soap, top rack was really dirty. I read that this can all be tied to the inlet valve not letting the proper amount of water in (low fill so it does not heat the water, no hot water means no soap dissolving, no pressure on the top arm to get the top rack clean). I replaced mine and BAM! now it gets hot again, cleans great and dissolves the soap fine. I was wondering if the circuit board was bad, but when I took off the panel visually it was fine. The part was only $20 on Amazon, so I decided it was worth the attempt at replacing it. Thanks again!
    Oh, the machine also was taking forever on the cycles and was about 10 years old. Visually I didn't see anything wrong with the old one but I didn't bother to take it apart.

    I have the Bosch dishwasher she43rf6uc/64. I replaced the water inlet valve as instructed with a new one ($32.23, with tax from the local parts center). Removing the door panel was helpful; more accessible. I found that reversing the order on the door panel and the lower access panel removal and re-installation made the job easier (I remember installing the lower panel before, you can see it so much better with the door panel off).
    The job was just as easy as it looks in the video.
    The machine is running now and seems to be functioning properly.

    Just replaced mine and it fixed it. It wouldn't fill and run but I'd hear draining. This part was like $22 online. Took about an hour to swap, the only thing that fought me was the hose that goes out of the valve to the washer, its a hard water tight hose, I put a little heat from a heat gun on it and it softened up and came off, same with putting back on. Thanks for the vid

    Thank you so much!! This showed exactly when I needed to do to fix my dishwasher, without 8+ extra minutes of patronizing commentary. I had difficulty removing the little brass elbow (just kidding, it was impossible and I gave up), so I just bought a new one. Then I learned *why* I couldn't remove the old one. Once I had that new elbow screwed into the new inlet valve to the proper tightness...it was pointed 180* the wrong direction from my supply hose. Unscrewing by a half turn would have been way too loose, so I had no choice but to really crank that sucker on. But my dishes are now clean, which makes everybody happy :)

    Time to order another inlet valve, excellent repair instruction video, thanks Repair Clinic! - This is the third inlet valve I'm installing on my Bosch in just 5 years, good thing its an easy fix. Seems to me this part needs to be built with better materials. First valve electrical failure just 2 years old, would not open, this second one (the replacement part) failing mechanically after three years, makes a loud chattering sound when water is flowing about 50% of the time.

    Thanks for such a clear demo of the removal of the valve. Because of the mounting, and those "unremovable" star-head screws, the valve LOOKS much harder to remove than it really is. I had it out in 5 minutes (didn't even have to remove the front cover plate), found a bunch of crud in the inlet side, and lo and behold, didn't even need a new one: solenoid is fine, gate is fine: let there be water!:)

    Replacing this part fixed my top rack not getting cleaned! I couldn't get the elbow off or on easily, so ended up unscrewing the 2 valve screws before disconnecting the water, and then after reconnecting it, for easier access to the elbow with a wrench.

    In most cases on these models the door panel blocks the screws for the lower access panel, so the door panel must be removed first.

  • @4ncrblz
    @4ncrblz 7 лет назад

    Video was good, unscrewing things (particularly the elbow joint) was rather harder than in the video, but I managed. Was so happy I replaced the entire part on my own! Also happy that I didn't need to take off the door, only the access panel.
    However, dishwasher is still not filling, and I know water was coming to the valve. Makes a sound inside like it is trying (both with new valve and with old valve) but no water coming through the valve.
    Now what?!

  • @karl6852
    @karl6852 Год назад

    My dishwasher just has two wire connectors going to two vertical tabs on the old valve. On the new valve, the tabs are intended to accept a connector as you shown in your video. They new tabs orientated horizontally instead of vertically. Which of my two wires goes where? Purple and white. They'll fit on the new valve's tabs no problem.

    Great video for an easy repair however the assembler wasn't as generous with the internal hose on our unit. I had to tie a piece of string to the hose clamp to get the hose back on the valve as there wasn't enough length to bring out outside the frame.

  • @ILuv2learn
    @ILuv2learn 8 лет назад +1

    Very excellent and helpful video. Thanks!
    A couple of thoughts that might help others:
    * I removed the valve before removing the elbow because mine was too tight. I was afraid of breaking the plastic bracket holding the valve. I had to put the valve in a vise to remove the elbow, it was so tight.
    * It was not stated how many screws to remove from the inside of the dw door to get the front cover off. Remove only the lower 3 screws on each side. I had to loosen, not remove, the screw above those 3 because my cover would not slide. This allowed me to pull the bottom of the panel out, which loosened things enough to remove the panel.
    * The solenoid on my valve is oriented toward the right. This is because the Electrical connection to my valve will not reach when oriented as in the video. Bosch probably saved a nickle by shortening the harness.

      I could not remove the elbow from the inlet valve and I don't have a vise. But I was able to remove the four screws surrounding the inlet valve and replace the whole unit(elbow and the part where the elbow screws into, up to the o ring) on the new one. Glad to have a working dish washer finally. I am thankful for the video and the people sharing their experiences.

    Actually, since I had the model Bosch SHE53T52UC (hot water intake valve), the valve was in the back and did not require removal of the door and toe plate at all. Wouldn't be a bad idea to include a couple of the dissimilar models in the instructions.

  • @SSEnrich

    Okay. Well explained. But how can I be sure that the water inlet valve is broken? I released the left sode panel and I started the machine. No water gets in and I get the E24 code. Once I also saw the E 21 code. The machine has been out of use for 2 years. So I guess that might have contributed to the valve failing. Also I filled the machine with half a bucket of water. It pumped it out and the same e24 error code appeared.

    My dishwasher won't start, I get a flashing ''sanitized'' light on startup. I removed and cleaned the inlet filter and there was a lot of particles coming from our well, but I still get the error. I suspect the inlet valve but I am hesitant on ordering a new part since I am not sure it will fix the problem.

    My DW makes a grinding noise recently. It still cleans very well and drains very well. Just the noise is the issue. Yesterday, once I heard the noise, I immediately rushed over and opened the door. There were 47 minutes left on the clock. So roughly 50 minutes had passed. Inside DW, it was pretty warm and there was no water on top of the bottom screen. So I am totally at loss. Was the noise made by drain pump when it was to drain, or was it made by the inlet valve when it tried to open and let water in? Any one can help? The noise is not constant. DW only makes this noise two or three times during an 100 minutes wash cycle. Thanks for any help!

      I tried it on mine. It appears the door removal gives you extra room to lift the valve up and out of the slot. Also gives more room to turn a wrench on the water supply line.
