    • @Mark-wo9yt
      @Mark-wo9yt 14 дней назад

      It's the definition of trying to make up a reasonable sounding excuse for his being asleep at the switch. Nobody's buying it because it's why he went BACK to the assistant coaching ranks a few years ago. HC's have to make QUICK, smart decisions - he can't.

    Just doesn’t want to admit he was wrong and to the point he’s nearly throwing Penix under the bus. Penix bailed you out 3 times at the end. Call a timeout!! He should be fired one and done. Do the right thing and get Ben Johnson an offensive HC in here. Doubt it happens but god this sucks

      @Mark-wo9yt 14 дней назад

      His excuse is totally unbelievable. Truth is, he was asleep at the switch - possibly didn't know how many T/Os he had.
      He's claiming to know ahead of time what the OTHER coach will do if a T/O is called, and he made his decision to inexplicably run the clock down based on what he GUESSED they might do - which is as dumb an excuse as I've ever heard.

  • @Joe-3sixty

    Excellent analogy.

    • @Mark-wo9yt
      @Mark-wo9yt 14 дней назад

      not to anyone whose ever played the game it's not. Incredibly he's pretending to have known what the OTHER head coach was going to do after the long completion where he - without a DOUBT - should have taken a T/O. This fool made the SAME clock management mistake at the end of the half too. Do you see a pattern here? And shock of all shocks, it was one of the reasons why he previously went from HC back to coordinator. Some guys are very good coordinators - terrible head coaches...he appears to be one. Nothing wrong with that

    • @Joe-3sixty
      @Joe-3sixty 13 дней назад

      @Mark-wo9yt to put a bow on it, the commanders were penalized 13 times and the falcons just 3. Biased officiating helped the falcons, I'm not going through details, but that's a fact. 🤷‍♂️🤨

    • @Mark-wo9yt
      @Mark-wo9yt 14 дней назад

      It's actually a weak idiotic explanation. He's actually saying he knew what the OTHER coach was going to do (which he doesn't) so HE let the clock run down - which killed his team. How stupid. First of all, he has NO IDEA what the other team is going to do if he called T/O - which he should have. Second - so what? If they DO substitute - deal with it. They're telegraphing what they are going to do - and YOU can make adjustments accordingly. He should just admit it: "I was asleep at the switch - same blunder I made in the 1st half and have made my entire coaching career... I knocked us out of the playoffs and should be fired. "
      Instead, he makes up some idiotic excuse about knowing what they'd do - so he lets the clock run down and kill his team's chances

    This is so weak. Bring in another TE. Have Bijan stay in to help chip for more protection. Come on Coach! That was about as bad an example of clock management as I have ever seen. This sucks so bad. We were made to go to the playoffs THIS YEAR! Washington has a rookie QB too. You think Dan Quinn is worried about the rush packages he faces. My god these are grown ass men. You lost the game so just admit that you made a critical mistake. And that’s the difference between playing and sitting on the couch in January.

      @Dankbanker-i2c 14 дней назад +2

      Yes I'm glad someone else see this. They got the look and play they were looking for when he decided not to call the timeout but just didn't execute. He knew exactly what he was doing when he didn't call it and took a huge gamble. It didn't hit. Move on. I don't like the decision but to think this is a fire able offense is stupid. They was more situationally aware of what he was doing in the moment than everyone out here calling for him to be fired.

    • @shonuf5152
      @shonuf5152 14 дней назад +2

      It was common sense to call a TO at the end of regulation and had a chance in OT too. How the heck can we "move on" when Morris constantly makes one questionable boneheaded decision after another? Hard to let go and regroup because he keeps giving us material to pound him with.

    • @kennysanders7034
      @kennysanders7034 14 дней назад

      @@shonuf5152 it's no different had he gon for 2 instead of the tie. He took a risk and it didn't payoff. They just got a big play on that defense so why give them the opportunity to adjust. Had Penix made the throw game over. Went from 6-3 to the season coming down to a TO...gtfoh. Most ppl didn't want him or Penix. Imagine having no fkn QB right now with no playoff chances. Move tf on. I'm riding with Rah. Happy new year!

      @shonuf5152
      I think he offered a reasonable explanation for why HE chose not to call a TO. One may not agree with the decision, but that doesn't make it a bad decision. It's only considered bad because it didn't work. That's how it goes with any HC.

    "it took a little too long..." ya think? Sorry, fool - this is why you haven't been an HC for several years, stuff like this - horrendous clock management WHICH ALSO occurred at the end of the half...this idiot is trying to justify his massive mistake - which may have cost his team a PLAYOFF SPOT - by pretending to know what the OTHER coach is going to do in certain situations. How about focusing on your OWN team and what YOU should be doing - which you are not particularly good at.
