Outer Wilds End of the game. Outer Wilds Ending. Outer Wilds Perfect Ending. Outer Wilds True Ending. Outer Wilds Ending Reaction.
I have to be getting close to 50 times seeing this ending, and it still makes me cry. Such a fantastic game.
My goodness it has been a minute since I've completed the game but I still tear up every time I listen to the soundtrack.
34:20 "It just doesn't hit the same the second time."
The ending: Hits just the same the second time.
I love the Nomai memory... all together reaching for the stars.
Yeah one of my favorite parts actually. Hoping that one day we can come together as a civilization and work together like they did. They accomplished so much because of that.
Im glad that you get back to Solanum for the ending
Me too! Luckily I had a friend tell me I missed something with the quantum moon!
I'm late, but to answer your question:
That dead Nomai on the QM IS Solanum. She's dead on 5/6 of the different QMs. Basically what happened is, for the five simultaneous versions of Solanum that are orbiting the planets in the inner Solar System, Ghost Matter killed them due to their still being so close to the comet. The one that was orbiting the Eye is still alive (and you could talk to her) since they were so far away and weren't affected.
Right right! I'm not sure when I do it because it's been a minute since I played outer wilds, but I do eventually talk to Solanum because I was told there is a "Perfect" ending with one of the Nomai. After talking to Solanum I was given everything I was basically missing ^^ Nice little cherry to top of this magnificent game!
Beat me by a week. Well explained, nice job.
In case there's any confusion left, Solanum can't leave the QM because she's only 1/6th alive right now.
@@HowlingWolf518 yeah makes sense but time and existence is weird sometimes lol especially with this scenario
honestly kinda messed up shrodinger cats here.
This game is art.
Any other redundant statements you'd like to make?
Glad you went back for not just Solanum, but the additional dialogue right at the end, because thats what finally broke me first time as well, and its a shame how many people miss it! I wish there would be some way of forcing that to happen because i feel like that's such an essential part of the ending, everyone's last thoughts after all is done
The moment the music started playing when I grabbed the core, I knew instantly the game was telling me this was my last goodbye to the solar system. It was the End Times theme... But it was different. It was pushing me forward, hurrying me up. I knew I would not go back again. This was the end. And it hit me real hard.
Seeing dis dude not get it is just so unfortunate haha.
I think I just kind of panicked for a few minutes 😅 don’t think it hit me until I went through the warp.
YOU"RE CRYING...I love this game
we BOTH crying. And it's ok...
This game is absolutely stunning. It'll go down as one of the best games ever made. Believe me I've played them all. This is one of the very finest.
I wish it got more attention because I believe it is too!
@@cytechflow6273 your reaction to the ending was very genuine. I had the same experience. Very emotional.
@@james87367 yeah I just love this game so much and grew so attached to all of the characters and even the solar system itself. I know you understand haha I didn’t want to take anything away from how I was feeling in those final moments. Even now my heart aches a bit when I listen to the soundtracks.
@@cytechflow6273 I absolutely understand. A deeply profound game. I knew very quickly I was playing something very special. Games like this are rare. The only thing I'm upset about is I can't experience this again for the first time. At the end of the game when the big bang happened I was utterly shocked and felt something I rarely feel. Complete awe. Beautiful game.
I"m super late to the party, and I couldn't catch up while you were playing, but just wanted you to know more people will find this, and that I enjoyed your playthrough.
This game is such a labour of love and a masterclass in storytelling and emotional investment. Everything about it is exploration and lore, and none of it is wasted. The puzzles are not super complicated by puzzle game standards, and yet all of them are satisfying and revelatory.
I'm sniffling right along with you at the end. Every damn time, with this game, and its discoverers.
Soldier on, Outer Wilder, into the new universe.
Plus, good on you to go back and tackle the Quantum Moon. Definitely worth pulling at every possible conceivable loose story thread. Because you only get this once.
(Assuming you don't do what I did, and watch a million other playthroughs to capture a fraction of that joy by proxy :D )
Also, I love how you find Solanum, and she's mentioned more than once in writings throughout the game, and is one of the few Nomai whose musings and mentions continue through her life.. Only a few other Nomai are traceable through more than one bit of lore, and amongst even fewer to are mentioned at more than one point in their life. It was a master touch to make her the one we encounter so we could get closure with at least one of them. Solanum is precious.
Also also love the subtle changes in the museum at the end based on what and who you discover or fail to discover by the end. A last tip of the hat to the idea that your journey is your own.
Wow thank you so much! Yes I absolutely LOVED this game! Playing the dlc currently and it still blows my mind every episode. I’m going to probably explore more of their games in the future. Any recommendations?
@@cytechflow6273 It's their first game my dude. It actually began as Alex Beachum's master's thesis! Unfortunately for you, and all of us who loved Outer Wilds, there aren't many games, if any, that come close to it, mechanically and emotionally. Return of the Obra Dinn is absolutely worth checking out for the mystery, investigation and deduction, and Subnautica comes close to the exploration and otherworldly beauty and sublime terror.
I think Outer Wilds is a one-off though, which makes its end sting even more. I never expected Echoes of the Eye to live up to and build upon the base game but it did, somehow. I'm thankful I got to go back into the Wilds for once last experience!
Many a player I've seen wrecked by this ending! It gets me every time too even after watching countless Let's Players do it :) Now, time to see how you're doing with Echoes of the Eye...!
The Ainulindalë, the Music that births Creation.
You sir just earned yourself a follow. I've sat and ugly cried watching you cry. I just can't watch people finish this game without getting emotional with them. Echoes of the eye has a great pay-off at the end that'll have you blubbing. I can't wait to watch you beat it. 👍
Wow thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and cried with me! At least I know Im not alone now lol. Yeah honestly, I get teary eyed every time I hear the travelers song now.
@@cytechflow6273 you'll feel that way for years now. I do too
@@dobsonad I am so glad my friend recommended the game to me or else I may have never have played it. It is officially my favorite game of all time now. Wish I could play it for the first time all over again lol
@@cytechflow6273 no Game will ever come close for story and emotion. And echoes of the eye will have you breaking down again. Its beautiful
@@dobsonad I cant wait!
This was a really special play through and reaction. Three cheers.
Thank you! I'm glad I could find such a welcoming community with a game like this. The game itself was absolutely amazing and not only was enjoyable and so thoughtful but it also helped me find awesome people that love that game just as much as me...and I am so grateful for that!
Thank you so much for sharing your playthrough of this game. You know, you're the first person i've seen play the ending without Solanum at first, and I have to say; I often thought I'd have been disappointed to get that ending first, like i messed it up somehow. But after seeing this there's something so fantastic about the lonelier ending first. It allows you to realize that your species isn't alone in the end. You can bring the memory of Solanum with you. I think it's really cool you had a different ending from most. A different experience.
I appreciate that you embraced the emotions of the ending. I felt the same way. It's such a deeply bittersweet ending, and I love when the people playing it embrace how that makes them feel.
I look Forward to watching Echoes now. The ending to that... took me days to get over.
This was a great playthrough.
Right there with you, Outer Wilds is the first game that brought me to tears. Forever grateful I decided to try something different and play this, one of my favorite games of all time!
Hey man, just wanted to let you know that your playthrough was one of the ones I enjoyed the most (and I've watched too many haha....).
Really glad you enjoyed the best game ever made.
Cheers !
Sorry I’m just now seeing this! Wow thank you! I LOVE this game so much and it is officially my favorite all time game. Glad you enjoyed my journey of it! This community has been so helpful and friendly and I am thankful to have been a part of it. 😄

It's a neat trick that Outer Wilds does, making water appear in your face.
Pity it can only do that once, riiiiiiiiight? 😏
I don't think there are very many games out there that involve topics such as the heat death of the universe: The most final death there is.
Yet this game manages to take such a bleak concept and have such a beautiful and hopeful outlook on it. Gets me every time.
Men, I absolutely loved your reaction. I'm so glad you loved the game, I sure did too
This game is just so beautiful!
Bless ya! I sobbed along with you. Just finished it last week for the first time and wishing I could erase it from my brain. Game changed my life
It did me too! To this day I still listen to the soundtrack and think about it
"Oh, that's interesting. I hate this."
That's so much of Outer Wilds in a nutshell. What a beautiful and terrifying game.
Can confirm this bit made me cry, same happened when (spoilers!) I mad my way into the quantum moon and had a good convo
Yeah! Man I can only hope to play another game like this one. I grew so attached to it and Al it’s wonderful features. It is my favorite game now lol
...I almost never comment on any social media platform, but this was amazing.
I just beat echoes of the eye last night, and I told myself, "You can never blindly play outerwilds again."
Then I found this video and just started crying and crying. The ending is beautiful, and the soundtrack makes me emotional every time I hear it. Watching this video allowed me to re-experience the confusing, painful, but wonderful end to a long journey.
Thanks for making this video. Even if it is a year old. And I appreciate that you show real emotion, unlike a lot of live stream gamers who like to over dramatize their reactions.
This game is amazing and is my favorite of all time now. Its the only game to actually bring me to tears and it just amazes me that it can do that. My friend is the one who recommended it to me and told me he also cried at the end. I wanted everything to be real so i tried not to hide my emotions at the end. I actually had to take time away from the camera for a bit because of how emotional that ending made me. Im glad you really enjoyed the game and my video! I am wanting to start making videos again but having trouble finding time for it in this crazy world.
@cytechflow6273 can't wait to see more videos! I feel ya on how crazy life is. I would also like to start up making animations again, now that I'm not a cringe middleschooler lol. Anyways, thanks for commenting. Have a good day...or night idk.
Great playthrough!
Thank you for sharing ❤❤
This is like seeing snow for the first time. It will never be the same
I've been trying to convince my fiancé to play it so i can watch her play it!
29:36 This weird effect happens only when you are out of range of the supernova at the end of a loop.
The Eye and thus the Quantum moon while orbiting it is out of range of the supernova.
Right right makes sense seeing as I was still tethered to the cycle at that moment!
get the dlc its just as good as the base game if not better
Glad to hear that! I've got it and have already recorded the first episode for it and holy cow is it cool!
@@cytechflow6273 post it
@@liltrout4775 the dlc video should be up tomorrow! Im trying my best to edit 2 videos a week and have a full time job so It takes a bit of work but it will be there!
this vid was lit bro. rly summarised my feelings i had when i played lmfao
Thank you! This game is so underrated. I think about this game every day now
It is like to meet god in a videogame
It does feel that way doesn't it? Since they are so much more advanced and beyond our comprehension.
I finished the game a few days back and wanted to hold on to the feeling, so I found your vid. What a beautiful game and great video. My reaction was almost the same 🙏🥲
This game is so amazing and I just wish I could replay it again for the first time! It is so underrated.
Achivement unlocked! You forgot solanum.
Scared that i had forgotten to activate my windows license XD, love watching your reaction.
haha thank! Yeah i thought i had fixed that at that time but i suppose not
Hurts so good
Quite sad your first time completing the game didn't include Solanum 😢
Edit* also you didn't do all dialogue options on the Q moon
Heh, you never don't cry when thinking about this game.
I mean, I should know.
I still listen to the soundtrack from time to time and it still brings tears to my eyes.
*Activate Windows*
Go to Settings to Activate Windows.
😂 yeah Idk why but even when I do activate it with my windows key info, it randomly deactivates sometimes. Sorry, it bugs me too lol
is there room for another one?
Solanuuuum
o7 my friend
o7 its been an honor
I did too to be honest pal
Its just one of those games that really gets you attached to the characters and even the world itself. Makes it feel homey even with all the doom and gloom
