I want something like this with either an open source or standardised network protocol so devices from different brands are able to communicate with each other... as it is now its pretty useless for me. I want to get in touch with strangers out there and use this form of communication.

Does this have real time voice communications or just burst prerecorded transmissions? Since it has similar frequencies to gotenna, could gotoky use gotenna mesh relays?

Agree on range claim my question is spectrum ? Gotenna uses VHF MURS spectrum 150 mhz same for Gotocky?
What if someone else doesn't have a go Taki in your area? Then it's no good?

Hi Datajam, we are using the same frequency spectrum. The difference is that we have also voice communication and not just texting. Also we have real-time tracking of other users location. This are the main differences, there are also some minor differences as well like battery autonomy, ours is longer, ...
If you use the same spectrum and power as gotenna why is you range so much higher?
I don't think is much higher, we are offering just what we achieved. Antenna design and sensitivity makes also some difference in range.
+Brian Caouette gotenna advertises the same 9mile lie. where is your confusion? its a 1watt uhf radio with a fixed antenna. what do you want? lol
ertonyrn they didn't lie nor did they claim 9 miles. They were very out front about 1-3 miles when I purchased mine.
Real world mesh network test would be interesting. Now it's just empty words

What does that do? I'm in Texas and Texas is big. If I have 2 communities that are 500 miles from each other,how will this help ?
