I have a 1.8 Barina Sri. What is the most common fault with the ECU/ECM in these cars? Mine started to loose functions (cruise control, loss of power over 3,500rpm), and now it won't start at all now.
Hi, great video! I'm just being curious and wanna ask why they don't attach the sockets direktly to the board from below when they produce these ecu's? You see that on a lot of other board types. And it seems a bit vulnerable with alle thes tiny wire connections. Am I missing something? Greatings from Denmark!
I think i may have a problem with my ECU on my 2002 astra 1.7d .... i will be checking that its not the connections to the ECU first tho .....some place on the net want £120 to do a repair and if there is nothing wrong with it then will charge £60 anyway for checking it.
yeah sorry i have no idea what the issues are get sent 7 of these a week from garages/Auto Sparkys as long as the fault is in the ECU il find out if its a bond issue (:
44209david ok if u allow for me most of damaged components are not visual so for example if you have aproblem in injector driver you should explain to us how you identify the driver or the way that you are following to reach the driver and etc ... thanx again
A superb job,nice one
what solder are you using ? for both connections ? are you using normal solder for the board, and aluminium solder for the pin connection ?

What was used to liquefy the insulation adhesive?.
OH, I guess that's what it's like usually.
ANNE DROID yes it’s gel like. It is almost liquid but needs to be cut.

Thank you
Where is the chip
good one thanks
very cool repair thank you
cheers mate !
I hate this Opel Construction! ... at this evenening I repair my ECU ...
Такой ремонт не надолго,через месяц-два ещё короткие контакты отвалятся,надо снимать все и перепаивать на медь многожильную
Друг не стоит да значит ремонт делать
what a crap. for 150$ u recieve PRO repair when is resoldered ALL pins. after this repair u can wait to another pin will broke
In Australia and NZ people dont work for peanuts or a bowl of rice
