Can you change the graph so each bar is a different color?

Yes you can. With the Chart editor panel open on the right side of Google Sheets, double click on one of the bars in your chart. You can then select a specific fill color for that one bar. After that, just double-click on a different bar to select a fill color for that one. Continue this process until you have made each bar a different color.
