Dude you’re a hammer! I wish I lived in California or Texas or even Florida. But, I’m stuck in North Carolina. My pb is 6 pounds 9 ounces but I really want to break it. I spent a lot of time on the water this spring and caught several 5s but never cracked into the 6 pound range. I really want to catch an 8 or better. Maybe someday, until then I’ll keep grinding!
Austin from dream catchers fishing catches bigs every year in western NC he has plenty videos up of him catching 8+ tanks they are out there maybe this year you never know when the next cast will be a giant!!!!You’re doing better than me up here in OH with a 6lb 4oz fish.
I’ve seen some of Austin’s videos. He had his friend fishing with him and he caught an 11 in one of the videos! Those lakes out that way are beautiful. I’m closer to Jordan, Falls Lake, and Shearon Harris. I’m definitely wanting to start fishing Jordan or Falls Lake on the weekends. I know there’s giants in all 3. MLF had their heavy hitters tournament there several years ago.

@damianthao After the 5.59 fish what body of water are you fishing? I am from the central valley also. How u getting your kayak into some of these places? Aren't Some of these spots are ponds off of the San Joaquin or Kings River?
What state are you in,I live I north ga.and most places are owned or private if there good fishing then it's no trespassing or heavily pressured,it's sad because it looks like you've caught more big ones than I've caught at all

I’m 8 years old and today me and my dad sneaked to a pond and there was a bigon in this bed on the bank and I did a blue lizard and it did not bite that blue worm so my dad switched my worm and the first cast on that bank it literally split the littrl worm and my dad put the same worm on there and I caught it it was a 9.35 pounder my dad is going to freeze it and get some one to put it on wood and hang it on my wall
