বার্ষিক করযোগ্য আয়ের ২০% বা এক কোটি টাকা পর্যন্ত বিনিয়োগের বিপরীতে ১৫% আয়কর রেয়াত দিচ্ছে সরকার। ডিপিএস, সঞ্চয়পত্র ছোট করদাতাদের করের বোঝা কমিয়ে আনার জন্য যথেষ্ট হলেও, উচ্চ মধ্যবিত্ত ও উচ্চবিত্তদের সর্বোচ্চ রেয়াত পেতে পুঁজিবাজারের বিভিন্ন ইন্সট্রুমেন্টে বিনিয়োগ করতে হয়। বিভিন্ন ব্যবহারিক সমস্যার পাশাপাশি সচেতনতা ও শৃংখলার অভাবে অনেক করদাতাই বেয়াত সুবিধার সবটা কাজে লাগাতে পারেন না। মিউচুয়াল ফান্ডে মাসিক কিস্তিতে বিনিয়োগ এ সমস্যা সমাধানে সহায়ক হওয়ার পাশাপাশি দীর্ঘ মেয়াদে উচ্চ রিটার্ন জেনারেট করতে পারে
