Really do want to have a go at this. Never found trees fascinating to paint but love your loose version.

You say “moss green”. What is Daniel Smith’s actual name for this shade of green?

I really enjoy your different techniques, but how do you get that spidery effect on the "branches". The droplets make good larger marks but i can't get that "hairy" look on the long branches. How do you get that?

Try painting the branches then spraying with water, it’s important that the nozzle is set to fine droplets.
Do not spray directly at the branch, spray from the side allowing the droplets to fall onto the branch. The watercolour will bleed into the droplets like spider webs, you can help it along with a fine rigger brush. Please let me know if this helps :)
